She's so cute and looks so sweet, humild and easy going, despite being one of the best rg stars ever. I seriously wish her success in life! :)

      Alina Maksymenko. "I am 23".
Alina Maksymenko. 07-11-1991, Zaporizhzhya, ukrainian rhythmic gymnast. Participant of Kazan Universiade (took part in 5 disciplines, wins silver and bronze medal).
"I have 1998 Beijing Summer Olympics, I have 2012 London Summer Olympics. All of my trophies that I win I send to my parents to Zaporizhzhya - now they have a mini-museum at their home.
I`ve been doing sports for 15 years. Probably the most important thing I`ve archived is love of my fans. This is the most valuable reward for me.
Of course, there were key milestones in my life - Olympics, world`s biggest sports competitions. Taking part in such competitions is a big event in every sportsmen`s life. Especially if you get to TOP-6.
I started doing rhythmic gymnastics at the age of 7.5 years. As to RG standards this is quite late. So there were lot of tears - I like to cry, when I was a little girl - I hated stretching, it was very difficult for me.
When you`re starting to do professional sports, it`s all injuries, pain, tears, nerves... Trainings start at 9.00 every day and we`re been training to 20.00.
Diets? Frankly saying, I have not had any diets. But yes, we eat very little or not eat at all before competitions.
For my parents it was very hard to take our schedule, because our coaches let us go home very rarely - only for New Year vacations, for 3-4 days. And after Olympics or some big competitions we`ve been send home for a few days. But we haven`t had vacations or days off ever.
My first serious competitions were RG World Championships in Kyiv. It was very hard exam, very hard work, probably hardest ever. We had an understandind that we`ll compete at our home. There`ll be many relatives and friends, everybody wants to see our best from us, so we push ourselves as hard as we can. The crowd went just crazy. There were really great emotions. It was a great responsibility, but it was a pleasure to compete at home arena, we know that so many people supports us. When I got a medal in clubs, standing on the pedestal, I couldn`t hold back my tears.
First half a year after finishing career it was realy hard to realize that you have not had to go to gym any more. I want to go there every day, more and more! But nevermind, this is life. Nothing lasts forever, everything comes to an end at last.
After finishing career I worked as an assistant coach at Deriugins School with our National Team helping Iryna Ivanovna and Albina Mykolaivna. I like to coach kids, to deliver my experience to them. I`ll come back to do this for sure in future, but now I want some freedom to forget about responsibility a little.
I love my state, I put all my young years to glorify it, to hoist our flag. I push myself hard to be involved in groing up our state."

Алина Вы так похожи на тюркскую национальности, на центрально-азиатку на казашку! У Вас нет каких то не украинских этнических корней? Вы чисто украинка?
