Hi, glad you enjoyed the video and even more so got your first adventure :) the winch/spoiler came direct from the manufacturer so I’m not quite sure where you may find it, I’m sure a quick little googley search will help. Have to say, though the umbilical spoiler is expensive, it’s deffo been worth having. Good luck and have fun :D

Nice vid, you shouldn’t connect the cable the way you do, it puts a lot of straint on the contact. Look in the manual there must be some guidance there how to connect without puttin straint on the contact.

Thanks for the tip!, I actually have a small D shackle to attach the loop from the Umbilical to the hole on the tail fin, just didn’t for this test as I knew it wasn’t going to go far. Great you noticed :) and many thanks for reaching out. Just waiting on weather to go back out.

@@Ruzkig it’s a good little rig, I work in deep see exploration so it made sense to get this. It’s very intuitive if you have flown drones. It’s not a perfect ROV as you can’t strafe sideways or roll the ROV but for exploration and inspections, it’s great. It is heavy for its size but well built. The thrusters are very easy to replace if damaged and the arm is fairly easy to fit and remove. I did have to adjust the arm as I felt the tether to control the arm was too tight when screwed into the ports/Sockets. The interface is easy to read but I really time navigation under the water is required or you will get disorientated. It’s a good thing that the tether is also directly connected to the handset instead of having to worry about a WiFi signal dropping out. You can also hard wire your phone to the handset and even run a screen via HDMI. You can also transmit visuals to other people’s phones during inspections.
