I really love IVE a lot and I really love this song, also Rei and Gaeul finally got like a real rap verse in their title track, and it works brilliantly over the sample. My only tiny criticism is that when the sample plays by itself, I feel like they could have done more with that. It's an instrumental break in the original song, and when they use it as an instrumental break here, it just makes me feel like I'm listening to the original during that part. How that comes across probably depends on how familiar the listener is with the original. I have to agree though that when it plays by itself the first time, it hits different when they rap over it the second time. But yeah I just like it much more during the rap verse, just because I can recognise the sample, but it still sounds like a different song. The colours help with pointing out the members this time :p They're not (all) their official colours, just in this MV; in order of appearance: Green: Rei Yellow: Leeseo (maknae) Light blue: Liz (semi-official main vocal) Pink: Yujin (leader) Red: Wonyoung Dark blue (with the blonde bob): Gaeul Like I said I love the whole group, it's hard to pick one bias, but I can pick a favourite pairing: Rei+Liz, they are just too adorable together. And definitely check out ELEVEN as well as their b-sides, they're all great.
Honestly if the robots do both I'll be happy lol I agree there could have been a little more done with the sample, even if they added a line or something just very faint it mighta been cool. I'm slowly learning the members! And I've been replaying Royal over and over and I think Yujin might be my bias. She has awesome parts!!
RIGHT?! I liked Love Dive but this song and then I checked out Royal and it might be one of my fav kpop songs ever! I need them to release a full album!
It nice when they use sample to fit the song. Only other group with samples is a japanese group called XG song mv is called Mascara. Think it was a western song they use for the sample.
Ooh I didn't know that, I check out that MV but never picked it up. I think Dreamcatcher used a flute sample in Piri too! It's so awesome when they use samples right.
