I love Lawton. It's my father's hometown and we visited my grandparents several times a year growing up. We always went to the Holy City, the parks with prairie dogs and bison, fishing, hiking in the Wichita Mountains, and scouring the pawn shops around Fort Sill. All the lakes were red from the red clay, oil wells dotted the landscape, there were longhorn steer in the pastures, and the food was so good. I'd love to take a road trip one of these days. I'm sure it's changed plenty over the decades but I loved the landscape and it seems to be unchanged.
I am from Germany I was 2017 in Lawton and i love it. I wish I were born in the USA by the most beautiful people in the world. God bless America and all people who life there.
Also, Mt.Scott has been reopened. It was closed for some time because of landslide damaging road is what I heard. Too bad you did not get to drive up the mountain. Awesome view. It was reopened earlier this month.
I live in Flecher a few minutes from Lawton that place is great and there is parallel forest witch is haunted too we go there all the time but never maid it to the center of the forest
I made it all the way I would recommend not to it you will get spooked by it there is a little area where people think witches kidnap people if they go there at night time so would not recommend it.
Depending on where in Oklahoma you are, I'm in OKC so it's a short drive for me, but it makes for a great day trip! The wild life refugee Mount Scott and Holy City are all right there together so if you planned it right you could do all three in one trip! I've been to all three and it was so much fun. In the summer time there's also a nice lake right at the foot hills of Mount Scott and it's beautiful at sunset! Medicine Park is also right there and it is a really cool River with lots of restaurants and bars !! Like it's own little town! Super cool to be there! You should Google up these places and go road trippin !! Good luck!
@@lindawoods6841 Okay so you are out far North East of Oklahoma. So when I Googled Grove, Oklahoma to The Holy City it is 295.2miles which is 4 hours & 18 minutes. So it would probably have to be more of a get up early and drive there and than stay the night and drive home the next day kinda deal unless it's summer time and you can space things out because there is more to do out there during the warmer time of the year!
@@lindawoods6841 Oh well that would be perfect for you and your family than ! Well hope that helped and hopefully you can Google some of those ideas and have a great trip you can plan out. Take care!

Warrior Weekly why cause it’s black owned and operated in a black neighborhood??!!
