- Dive into the lore behind the Skullcrushers of Khorne from the world of Warhammer Fantasy! You can get your hands on the Khorne army roster with Total War Warhammer 3 store.steampowered.com/app/11...
In this Units of History episode we explore the home of the Dark Chaos Gods from Warhammer Fantasy. We begin by covering the lands of the chaos wastes and the many barbarian tribes which inhabit these most inhospitable lands. The lore episode covers the martial history of these people and their relations to both the Chaos gods and their mortal neighbors. We cover how a lowly tribesman may climb the ranks to become an aspirant and a champion of Chaos. Yet this alone is not enough to see them elevated to the rank of Skullcrusher.
These Chaos Warriors must now venture into the very realm of Khorne to tame a Juggernaut. Few make it back alive but those which do have proven themselves both to their tribe and the Blood God. We then cover the equipment of these fearsome knights, their tactics, and their service history.
Stay tuned for more episodes on the units from the upcoming Total War Warhammer 3 game. I hope that these lore videos help breath life into the Khorne Army Roster as we continue to get the slow drip of Warhammer 3 battle gameplay and Warhammer 3 campaign gameplay in the lead up to launch. Let me know what Units of Warhammer Fantasy and Units of History you want to see covered next! Should we do Kislev, Cathay, the Ogre Kingdoms, the Chaos Dwarfs, the Chaos Gods, or more?

Our last video covered the Winged Lancers of Kislev:ruclips.net/video/P0vbH6q1m1g/видео.html As we look to continue this series what Units of Warhammer do you want to see covered next?
Does the units have to be for WH3 or can it be any old bean?
@@victordesena9763 we would mostly want to do stuff in the WH3 scope but can cover some of other topics
Great video would be on dreadnoughts!! Aka "coffins"
do one about bloodthirsters!!
Flamers of Tzeentch!!
The narrator actually feels like he's in the universe
That is the magic of it.
@@ktheterkuceder6825 A person who's high on crack makes a historical novel they can make it feel like a documentary

Meh, I can't hear that, too "lectury" for it.
Back in the old days of tabletop Warhammer Fantasy, I had the misfortune to be on the receiving end of a charge of these. They turned a whole flank of my empire army and tied a game I thought I had otherwise won
Aye, I was stationed on the northern Oblast when the last invasion came through the pass. They had already burned a dozen villages by the time we were able to bring them to battle. Nearly 30k men and twisted beasts. They had armor and numbers, but we had maneuverability and firepower. Not bad odds for a son of Kislev.
But we had been baited. They waited until we were fully committed to spring their trap. They sacrificed all of the villagers they had captured, and opened up a rift in our rear to that godforsaken place that they draw their power from. Then these bastards came. They hit our lines so hard, they annihilated an entire lancer wing before we could even disengage. They were followed by a horde of those red sons of bitches with the flaming swords, they boxed in our infantry, and slaughtered our artillery. Our entire host was completely enveloped, we were dead men.
I am only here to tell you this story because we were saved by…something. I’m still not sure what it was. I was dueling one of their blood champions on his great red steed, when I saw what appeared to be a man, but larger than any man I’ve ever seen, and armored in heavy grey plate, walk though the portal. I thought that this must be their champion, their god-anointed leader of the war host. I will admit, I thought we were doomed. My men stared in shock, but strangely enough, the effect on the followers of the dark gods was worse. All but the chosen of the blood god began to howl in terror, those with the blood God’s blessing looked on in shock, and then charged him.
The man, if you could call him that, raised his screaming sword and howled to the moon, like the greatest wolf in the world. Then the scions of blood were upon him. Faster than the eye could see, he swung his sword in great sweeping arcs, and it made a terrifying keening as it ripped through god-blessed plate. The red beasts fell in droves. This disheartened the chaos host, and soon they began to break and flee. We counter attacked, and drove them back across the river Volga, but by the time we looked back, the man was gone. Every chaos beast was slain.
To this day, I do not know what truly happened, and I have never experienced the like since. It was as if I felt no fear when he took the field. Rumors abound, but most of the men believe it was Ulric himself. I’m inclined to believe them.
@@jakemocci3953 where is this from?
Emilio Singh It’s my headcanon about where the Cult of Ulric comes from lol

God, it almost feels bad learning about all the work Khornate Champions put into reaching their status, only for them to die ingloriously in a hail of gunfire... **Almost**
Khorne does not care from where the blood flows.
@@a.z7469 …only that it does.
Most satisfying indeed to kill elite units like Swordmasters, Phoenix Guards, Khornate Champions and Chosen with a crude nuclear bomb built by rats.
Assuming you get to fire a shot
just like knights and in general heavy armor in the real world
Wow, what a great video :D
Excited to do more of these with you!
Quickly becoming one of my favourite series on RUclips! Please keep them 'em coming
Actually discovered you through Oakley years ago when this was a gaming channel and you guys did Rome 2 matchups. Cool to see you two work together again to give us great content!
great writing my guy. Amazing collab!
@milkandcookiesTW awesome writing! I can see this being a popular series!
Great colab!
I love how the narration is done in universe
BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!!
SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE!!
MILK FOR THE KHORNE FLAKES!!
And bowls! BOWLS FOR THE KHORNE FLAKES!

That's what the skulls were for.
Wasn’t that from Cody bonds? Lmao

You have really opened up Pandora’s box and dove into the rabbit hole with this series. And I for one am pumped, I’ve always been fascinated by elite units, and that goes for both history and fantasy settings. BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!
They were then promptly annihilated by Okoii’s latest doomstack
Yes, Isabela bat doomstack is really strong
I can’t believe CA sponsored this, that amazing! Congrats
"Part demon, part machine"
*doom 2016 mastermind boss fight flashbacks*
This was awesome. Like old school History Channel but in Warhammer universe. Stormvermin would be great to see, from being born dark of fur, eating many of their brothers and sisters in the nest, rising through the ranks through war and backstabbing, all the way to becoming their warlord's chosen, constantly rewarded and kept loyal with the finest gear and spoils of war.
The art, the information, the narration. By Khorne this is just peak Warhammer. Please more Warhammer videos
Gotta say, this channel has a great name
I think we'll see the Kurgan and Hung as offshoots of the Norsca
Hopefully as LL and not as race packs though, that would be a massive waste.
@Baron Kurgan were present in bunch of books, I recommend the Riders of the Dead for some Kislev/Kurgan lore
I hear they have good breakfast cereal in the chaos wastes! Khorne Flakes!
The chosen breakfast xD
Flavored with Blood and delicious sugar Khaine for added sweetness!
I can't put my finger on it but the overworld map pieces for the juggernaut are strangely demonic yet cute at the same time. Props to the artist that made them.
The backround music of the old world is still great ..
wow one of my favorite history guys does a series on my favorite video game ever...
This is absolutely amazing! I hope this series continues!
The effort that went into this vid really shows and I couldn’t be happier that CA is sponsoring… beautiful vid
i miss the old version of khorne where he valued honour and fair battles, i remember in the old one he would curse any who fought anybody weaker then themselfs... i really miss that :I
Now you just have very boring mindless beserkers
That's how my friend got me into warhammer initially
I was hella into samurai and hearing that the fucking war god cursed his demons if they killed civilians was so fuckin surreal to me
I'm sad this is no longer the case
Does nurgle still love everyone and thinks hes helping them by getting them sick?
@@tuckerbio yep nurgle still does that
@@tuckerbio dont know but i think not :( it's kinda bad that the gods are pure evil now...
This is amazing, great job! Would love to see many more of these.
Amazing job. One of the best narration I ever heard about Warhammer.
The production quality of your videos is absolutely second to none.
Amazing, just amazing, hope there is way more of this to come!
Excellent video (again) Wonderful content and everyone involved in the production deserves great praise!
Great video. This is very very well done. Can't wait to see more.
The Kvelligs, Gharhars, Tahmaks, Kuls, Tokmars etc are all Kurgans, and the Chi-an, Yin, Ming etc are all Hung (hehe). They are two big cultural groups that regroup many tribes much like norscans are comprised of the Bearsonlings, the Skaelings, the Vargs etc.
TLDR : The Kurgan are not one major tribe they are a cultural group of many tribes.
It would be awesome if you could continue this line of warhammer lore videos! Also, I'd like to see you tell us about the Dwarf Ironbreakers.
Great quality and narration, as always!
This may not exactly fit the "Units of ..." theme but doing a piece on Skarbrand would be great. Or alternatively the Bloodthirsters as a unit.
I don't know much about Warhammer lore, but damn, this was a really nice video paired with a cold beer.
Everything about this channel is top notch. The amount of effort (esp for the artwork) is insane. Thank you🙏
this is amazing. I love the channel and historical stuff as well and also this. Nice one!
Wow,.... WOW! So amazing and well done. I. Need. More! Please continue on with the upcoming Khorne roster. Would love a Bloodthirster video!
Love the writing.
At first about the clans and aspiring champions and than about the skullcrusher.
I learned much about the lore (and not just about the unit which I expected at first) thanks :)
Narrator really fits and the artwork is amazing you three did a great job
GJ !! Nice Video.
Ironbreakers of the Dwarfs next pls !!
This was great. A very cool way to see the Warhammer setting. I’d love to see more!
Great video. so excited to see more content like this.
Love this narrator!
Since we talking about beast cavlary, what about demigryph and or Pegasus knights. Great videos!!
I love this series such a cool way to show fantastical units in historical manner
OMG INVICTA! Appreciate so much that you work with CA.
Amazing production!
These are so good!! Keep em up!
Thanx Invicta for another great video. Hope you reach a million soon.
This was awesome! Great description of Warhammer lore :)
This video was perfect!
I'd love to see a video on the brettonian or imperial knights, perhaps another chaos cavalry too
Really enjoyed this vid. Great work
”Blood for the blood god”
”Skulls for the skull throne”
Kurgan? I find it cool how many of the warhammer-peoples are heavily influenced by real history
It's one of the main draws for me tbh. You think Winged Hussars were the coolest already in real life? Now watch them be even more majestic as they charge down against hell itself!
Sad that there is no people influenced by Classical Antiquity like Greece or Rome. Even Cathay is more like a medieval version of China.
@@longyu9336 it's literally a medieval name for china used in europe (cathay)
the people that worked on warhammer originally wanted to create historical stuff, so they knew their history
thats why i love warhammer, you can look up pretty much all the factions and see clear inspiration from the real world

excellent work, since it seems youre on Cavalry, perhaps Demigryph Knights?
The ironbreakers of the Dwarfs should most definitely be covered. Great video!
Please make more, these are really cool
Excellent fun! Thank you for the content!
Great video, I can't wait to see what is next.
Simply amasing video! Thanks men i came from Indi Pride but it was well worth!
I really enjoyed this video. I hope you do more on the Warhammer realms.
love this turn in content. keep it up!
Wow i follow your channel for your history video but this is such icing on a wonderful cake. Please do more like this
It's pretty neat that your doing both History and Warhammer Fantasy. By the way did you know that the Kurgans are based on Scythian and Turkish Nomads as well as the real world Kurgan tribesmen? But it's weird that they use Mongol-esque names, maybe because of the Mongol-Turks?
Absolutely beautiful
I love how you can make some like this seem so realistic no matter how crazy it may seem
Okay this is dope, cant wait to see more
What a awsome Story telling!
My most favourite Khorne unit.
This is amazing work! Plz cover Lords of Change!
The artworks are amazing!
This was excellent, really top notch stuff.
Fantastic! Love the fantasy content
Love this video! Keep up this series please! I know it will probably be focused on Warhammer 3 but I would love one of these on some high elf dragon princes someday!
I love how you explain the background of the skullcrushers in exactly the same way as you approach real historical topics
Absolutely outstanding. MORE WARHAMMER
Warpstone engineers of the best, most glorious race, the Skaven.
Yes!Yes!
Aight this is a really lovely produced video.
This was simply awesome! :D
This was the best unit spotlight ever.
Great vid, thanks
CA and GW are right to give lore content to these guys. This shit is awesome.
So, if I was a mere Empire spearman fighting one of these guys, I'd be royally screwed.
Yep, your anti-large power is non-existent against these monstrous cav because you’re just a mere human.
Love how you guys are covering Warhammer
Awesome video!
It would be great if you covered bloodthirsters next, please!
I like to imagine that somewhere, some kid will try to learn history in a haste, accidentally listen to this while on the bus and write a terrifying test that should get an "F", but receives an "A" just so the teacher feels safe...
Wow, who made all the visuals. Totaly amazing. WD everyone! FOR THE BLOODGOOOOOOD!
Amazing - well done all
Great chaos performance!Good job
Love that Series, carry on guys
Awesome! We want more!
This is a great video id watch more of these such as imperial or Dwarven units
Fantastic work.
This is crazy cool content yo
Almost to 1 mill congrats 👍🏾
This is so cool
Exceptional video!
Another awesome video. You guys should do dread saurians. The biggest and baddest monsters of the WARHAMMER world.
Amazing video, I love the artwork on these. i'm super hyped for WH3..
What unit you guys should do next? How about the swordmasters of Hoeth? my favorites in-game!
That was brilliant. I would love to see something about either the Ogres or Choas Dwarfs.
That’s a very great video with a very good voice. I want so much to see the same for rotflies of nurgle !
