ABSOLUTELY. Despite my 29 year military career, I have always HATED working out....until I found Orange Theory, that is. It is great. Day after day, I go in vowing to just "go through the motions"...and it NEVER happens like that...I cannot help but push myself. For me at least, it has changed my life.

I’m only 3 classes in but I’m very obese (carrying at least an extra 100lb) and I am hooked!! I have even done other HIIT style classes but nothing has gotten me feeling so good and proud. I can’t wait to see where this takes me!

Is it worth $6 a day to feel and look better? To me, absolutely. Not the only way to get fit, and certainly not the cheapest, obviously. But for me, at 38 and flabby, it changed my life. Now 3 years later I’m stronger and fitter than I was in high school. I skip Tuesday and Saturday. Otherwise I’m there at 5am and 7am on Sunday. Best decision I ever made

So much wrong in this video. OrangeTheory standard pricing is $69, $109, and $169; however, most people can claim a “corporate” personal membership for $59, $99, and $159. Classes are set in 45 min, 60 min, or 90 min blocks. No extra cost for a 90 min class and no discount for a 45 min class. All use one of your available membership classes or drop-in fee. There is about a 5 min “warmup” and “cool down”, so take 10 min off from the “hard work” period for each class period. The classes can also be 2G or 3G. In a 2G, your time mostly with treadmill and floor workouts, with rowers added occasionally. In a 3G, you will split your time on each of the three stations equally (except for the 5 min warmup). You DO NOT need a heart rate monitor. I worked out at OrangeTheory for about a year without a heart rate monitor, before they released the Apple Watch compatibility. You can 100% participate without paying for hardware. I used 5 studios, and none of them pressured me to buy. These are just some things that should be corrected in his video.

Long Island NY OT does not offer 4 class option only 8 class $110.00 unlimited $180.00. I think well worth the money. Also as far as equipment go on line to Let it Go or Offer Up and there’s tons of used equipment for cheap.

Dude it’s never too late ! My husand used to be obese he lost weight n never gained back . I took the dietary n nutrition classes in college . I can tell u 1 by doing grocery (most ppl focus 🧘🏻‍♀️ on gym , but nothing to eat/cook when hungry or busy ) 2 pre cook , when u have cravings , if u have no pre made food 🥘, ud crave bad food 🥘. Pre made n portioned into bunch same sized containers 3 save some pre made servings in FREEZER for rainy day (sick , can’t go grocery ) , 4 eat Each lunch same time ( When eat lunch 🥙 on time daily u will be hungry 🤤 at same time for Eve for dinner 🥘, won’t miss meal 🥘 also keeps body operate ). 5, Zzz 5-6 hours aft dinner (not less than 4 hours ) , aft 5-6 hr body will crave food again (late night Hunger ) ! So if dinner time is 7pm latest latest latest zzz is best before 1pm . (This is very hard to do )
All these r trying to RE SET metabolism! Trust me some point of exercise u will hit a wall , trying harder will make it worse . I used to have binge eating 🍽 habit as kid . Obesity is mostly brain 🧠 Chemical misfire ! The eating plan n zzz can help
      U to reset .
Our professor told us this is much harder said than done ! Cuz it’s all about planing n life style change . First couple weeks won’t even see weight loss but 1-2 lb weight gain cuz body is messed up so long doesn’t know what to do with calory. It Will inntially still store them . Then u will notice ud be HUNGRY 🤤 automatically the same time daily , body will keep shredding it self ! Cuz body recognize u get nrutrisnce on time no need extra food 🥘, Ud start to be amazed that ud feel FULL . n start to get rid of excess fat . I got rid of eating disorder for myself n my husand n couple family friends for good . Before that I ran 5-8km daily did half marathon but kept gaining more weight right back ! If ur 440 lb u def need more Tweek on diet like 👍🏻 adding hard boiled egg 🥚 to each meal (makes u more full ! Also egg r diegested 4 hr later ! The first 3hrs body runs on carbs. )
Do not exercise late eve . It’s going to make u mess up motablism .
Motablism motablism motablism . It’s like computer 💻 program that controls ur weight , n food intake . Exercise wrong time , zzz 💤 late , eat in odd times In combine will mess it up BIG !
Good luck 🤞🏼! 44 is good ! Never too late ⏰! When starting to feel FULL is most amazing feelings ever. ! Cuz for 15-20 yrs I never used to feel full. It’s been 10 yrs now I am always full ! Same with my husband, 9 yr ago we went to POT luck 🍀 for NYE 30 dishes ! I was expecting him to binge but he’s like “I am FULL I can’t eat any more “ lol 😂 that moment I knew it’s working for him . Lol 😝 feeling Full at pot luck will never happen before .

Hello Dr. Nuesse. I am a member of Orange Theory and I really enjoy it. I am a double leg amputee and I can still do the rowers and floor exercises with weights. The only thing I can't use are the treadmills obviously. My goal is to drop body fat. My workouts are all upper body. My question is how often should I go to Orange Theory Fitness? Is too much a bad thing? I used to go 5-6 days a week and I got stronger but my body fat percentage went up 3 percent. And my food was on point. I don't eat junk. I eat real food. What do you think may be the issue. BTW....my fitness journey started about 7 years ago. I've lost 100 pounds but have stopped losing fat. I don't know what's up. I feel like my body is fighting me.

You should definitely try keto or eat less than 25 grams of grams. I hate keto but it really works for fat burning . Carbs really get in the way when your body tries to take fat storage out. Our bodies always reach for the carbs first so if there aren’t any to grab, your body will take from the fat storage

In my opinion as someone who is in the bodybuilding world, I think ANY form of fitness that gets people involved that wouldn’t be otherwise is a GOOD thing. I find it ridiculous people mock fitness stuff like this. However that said the price is pretty outrageous for OTF.

Talking about the gym giving a good workout, correct. Talking about how members need good nutrition in addition to their workout, correct. Talking about adding supplements like raspberry ketones, and green coffee bean extract to your nutrition plan; nope. Calories in calories out for the win. Those supplements can been a small bonus. But guess who actually benefit from those small bonuses? Those who have plenty of money, and those already in shape and have a good diet. And even then some, you don’t need it. Waste of money for tiny benefit. And most people won’t be using it properly anyways. “This is a magic pill, and I can focus less on watching my calories.” Nope.

I been doing orange theory for a few months now , exercise for one hour a day will not make you lose weight , however you can eat whatever you want and not gain any weight . Most of the coaches there don’t know how to teach some of them don’t even demonstrate , they don’t give a sh*t about you so Idk . I’m a premier member I just go there to exercise , but it’s not as good as a personal trainer so if you can afford premier membership I do suggest equinox and get personal trainer to train you , too bad equinox is an hour away from where I live had to go to orangetheory because it’s closer to my house .
