I have watched most of your videos, to this point I have refrained from comment. You have improved to a letter grade A in this episode. Here is my reason. First, your history lessons were excellent, second your points of interest explanations were excellent and third, your explanation of boat function and sailing were excellent. You did a very good job of editing and your commentary was very good. As a sailing video effecianado 😆 I like what I saw. If you keep this quality up your channel will grow. Good job.

Really enjoying your videos! Glad to see Fabio is feeling better! Covid can go away anytime now. Your narration is wonderful and love your music choice. You can use your iPhone mic when filming as that works great to pick up your voices in the wind! Hope you are enjoying your new floating home!!
Hi Sandra, thanks for your support and for the tip on using the iPhone for sound. Your feedback and suggestions will help make our videos better and better
Every time I watch your videos they convince me my want to be out sailing is completely logical. Amazingly jealous you guys are living the dream! Also, that deck is well worth it compared to 1370! even if there is no additional room below deck the deck is where you live and that is some amazing real estate!
Well shot, and a really nice feel of a beautiful sail. Your narration was not awkward at all. I found it informative and quite smooth. Best to have a script as you did. This might just be me, but I prefer to hear the live sound of waves moving against the boat and the natural sound of wind over back to back vocalized songs. Instrumental music is fine if the wind levels are too high, but too many of these channels try to turn sailing into music videos. Enough said, you are doing great. Your editing and narration are very effective, and the overlay of the instruments showing performance is excellent. And of course, this boat is a real beauty. Well done!
Thank you for your wonderful comments, as we are developing our style we are discovering how we like to document our experience with narration and music. Wonderful video. It was a pleasure to watch. One (important) 😁 question re your beautiful doggie. Where does Yoda "go make it"? Bathroom time must have been such a great adjustment for her. How do you clean up, and weren't you concerned given it's an expensive boat and deck? Planning a similar scenario with my GF's beautiful yorkie and a mini pudel...
Thank you! Yoda goes potty on the net up front. I’m working on training her go on a piece of turf so she knows to go there wherever it is because if we’re on passage and it’s rough she can’t go up front.
Wonderful narrative. Beautiful visuals. Is there a more efficient way to drop and flake the mainsail? In the video it looked very cumbersome, even in light air

As you get more proficient, it would be great if you walked us through all your sail changes and reefing. Do you need to climb up for the second reef on the main? Overlaying the B&G display is great! I wish more sailing channels did that while underway. The best part of following sailing channels as they are just starting is learning as they (you) are learning, so do not think anything you do is not worth filming and sharing. Seeing how well this vessel sails with light winds is very impressive and I do want to see what it is like in heavy seas. 18:50 in the video is priceless-what a beautiful view. Music volume in that section varied in volume a bunch in prep for your narration, but easy fix. Getting Seawind rep help on this sail was awesome. Why such a time getting the sail into the bag? Did you look at flybridge cats? what are the advantages and disadvantages vs single deck? I like the extra inside space of a flybridge, but I am curious to know what the disadvantages are.
Hi Lex, we did not consider flybridge cats, they look majestic and I am sure they provide great visibility. They are probably fun and comfortable for a big crew, but when you are short handed like us the helm I far from the water and it may be a little harder to dock and pass lines. There is also a bit more windage to deal with. Another considerations is a reduction on mainsail sq ft at the foot. All said they are certainly awesome boats but did not check the boxes for us, furthermore I am accident prone and would probably take a spill running down the stairs on a wet and windy passage
