@@Byndle6969 I’m having a lot of fun with. People I have talked with in game and out of game seem to be enjoying it as well. The only gripe I’ve seen is that the grind is worse than they remember, but I think it’s right on par.
Yeah, I broke down and am playing. People seem to be having fun. I was having fun. Honestly taking on encounters with enough challenge to get the hard-you are going to lose music going and then winning is a HUGE dopamine hit. Even on newbie island. I ended up with adds in an encounter and I ground my way through it, almost dead, I was downed and unconscious but my pet kept fighting the last add and thus got it off me so I stood back up and finished the fight. I was so pumped and even shouted, omg, I did it! It's kind of fun to see the unconscious mechanic back in the game. It's hard. It's challenging. Soloing is just not going to be fun beyond doing it now and then for personal sense of achievement. Grind is spot on to the way I recall it. I still recall the "sony grind" complaint. I don't think I will be going to play it on the regular just because I don't have a crew. My family plays with me on live, but are not into starting all over again. So, right now, unless I get a team to finish the cave part of newbie island I am going to just spend my time handing out the gear I've collected that doesn't go with my necro (not one necro item dropped so far, but I am making others happy so that's fun in and of itself). I love running up and giving gifts to randos. If I could make small bags on the island I'd be crafting them and giving them out to everyone since I don't think I will be moving on and it would make me laugh to be the bag fairy for newbs.
is it fun?
