    Thank you so much for addressing this! It bothers me so much when people just assume that it’s fixable, when it’s absolutely not. There’s always grief involved with health stuff. Sending love! 🖤🫶🏻🌼

      It really is tough, but so important to bring awareness to that!

    Videos like this are important and hopefully becomes one of your most watched. I've subscribed to many gardening channels..I'm interested in how and why people garden. I'm not looking for gardening 'tips' and don't need to be entertained. What keeps me engaged is how genuine you are. Always thought you were quite courageous, and think even more so now.

    As someone who was born with a chronic illness and in addition developed chronic migraines in the last 8 years, i relate deeply to this video. I have been struggling with my health my whole life and to go through your 20’s and early 30’s watching your peers build careers and families, not knowing if you will be able to have those things as well it can be extremely frustrating and disheartening. So when people are constantly trying to “fix” you thinking that what they are suggesting is something I or my MANY doctors haven’t thought of or already tried is exhausting.

    • @thecottagepeach
      @thecottagepeach  16 дней назад

      I feel that! It’s so frustrating when people assume that you haven’t already exhausted every possible option.

    I would love to see a tea blending video! I also have a chronic illness and a lot of what you said makes a lot of sense. Folks do have a difficult time actually understanding that something isn't going to go away. Some things might make it a bit better, or help make symptoms milder, but no, there isn't a "cure". I think its a notion that scares people and so it's easier to think that we did something "wrong" to cause our issues or why we aren't getting better. Having a chronic illness is challenging, and not just from dealing with the actual illness part.

    • @thecottagepeach
      @thecottagepeach  17 дней назад

      It can be hard to get people to understand! But I think you’re spot on that it comes from a place of fear 💚

    I grow butterfly pea in a grow bag! It was easy to grow, it barely toughed its way through my fairly mild winter (I didn't help it all to be fair). As soon as it started getting warm, it sprung back up on its own. Didn't flower in its first year, but drowning in flowers on the second. I know they can be grown as annuals, but if you can limp one through a full year, you should be able to get a pretty good yield.
    At this point for me, unless they're a close family member or friend, I have no patience for 'well-meaning' advice anymore.
    I was really happy to have found your channel, it's very validating to see someone with a similar experience to mine doing something I love. I've gotten some great tips from you, like getting a kneeler, I love that thing.

      Ohhh good to know! I think I will give it a try.
      It’s true, we really do have to tune out a lot of noise to navigate chronic illness. But sounds like you’ve got that down!

      @thecottagepeach my daughter and my sisters have had more than their share of medical problems that took them a while to get the doctors to even listen to them seriously and they had to find remedies to help themselves. Many of them confused me on how they could help but if it gave them some relief, I wasn't going to knock it

    Ball jar lids are definitely a nice treat! I love them for my chronic illness tea apothecary as well. My go to herbs for managing mold toxicity-induced chronic illness are nettle, lemon balm, mint, moringa, chamomile, fennel, and hibiscus. Would love more herbalism content!

    Shaming others for their disease is wrong or saying they may have caused it is wrong!! After watching one of your videos I finally got outside to take care of over grown bushes in my yard and i have chronic pain with back issues. My husband was absolutely thrilled I got done. I would love to see a video on herbal tea mixing since I also have inflammation issues in the joints.

    I have degenerative disc disease. I'm pretty sure my tattoos had nothing to do with it. That's just crazy someone would think that it could have something to do with what you have going on even though it's different from me. You just keep on keeping on girl! You are awesome for doing what you do with what you have going on physically with your chronic illnesses. ❤

    . Please do a tea blending video. As a chronic illness suferer i like to incorporte the teas into my self care routine. I understand the negative comments. For the longest some of my family kept asking if it was all in my head, my symptoms caused panic attacks alot in the beginning. Then those same family members eventually fell ill and began to realize that my illness was not all in my head. They realized that my mental symptoms were the resumt if all the inflammation. I started years ago learnig all i could about diet nutrition herbs etc. Now i eat what makes me feel good. My body will tell me if i listen. The only "diet" thats ever helped me was Dr. Osbornes No grain No pain. I have managed to put my hashimotos into remission. And i never tell myself its incurable because that would take my hope away which gets me through this. Those are the two things i found thatw were helpful. Maybw it can help others as well. It is my wish that everyone struggling know that theyre not alone. Much love and blessings

    I apologize for so many comments. I just turned 49, I'm vegan, I have Hashimoto's and hypothyroidism, my nervous system is all jacked up. So, I literally sleep for maybe 5 or 6 hours a day. It thoroughly SUCKS. I definitely can relate. I've been vegan and became vegan to help my Hashi's. It's been 8 years, it's helped immensely. I have zero tattoos but my question is did you research the ink they use ?? Its literally just a question. I've read there's bad stuff in it. I would LOVE more information on apothecary and teas.

    • @thecottagepeach
      @thecottagepeach  17 дней назад +1

      Yeah a lot of the unregulated inks are no good, and of course I definitely can’t say any inks in your skin is healthy by any means 😉 but my tattoo artist uses specific ones that are reputable and safe. A lot of that messaging online is from sketchy shops that mix their own or use cheap stuff. So it’s all about getting a good artist you trust!
