Very nice introduction to onshape
Much appreciated Robert, thanks! I've not tried Onshape but was quite pleasantly surprised. Having used Autocad for decades and Solidworks for a few years now, I think Onshape would be a great starting point before moving on to Solidworks as it's a very similar but simpler and more intuitive interface.
I'll have to give it a try as it might be a way to create basic designs to later transfer to Solidworks, or to knock up some parts and designs without having to lug around a heavy and expensive laptop workstation.
that was my feeling mate - but it is good to hav backed up by someone in the know - I mean you lol - cheers mate
@@ThinkingandTinkering Thanks, hope it helps, and if you have something you might like to model or run stress, flow, motion or aerodynamic modeling on in Solidworks let me know.
Thanks Rob. It seems a lot like Fusion 360 without the $450 annual fee.
Yeah, but you get a $1500 annual fee instead 😜
@MrSnokas yeah, but Fusion 360 doesn't have a free version (outside of EDU). I stopped taking classes and had to start paying.
Inshape looks MUCH easier than Tinkercad. Thanks for introducing the program.
cheers mate
Fabulous ❤
Thanks Rob, I see you've fixed the end of the video. Is there a way I can send you a link? Every time I post it in a comment the comment gets deleted, even if I obfuscate it.
Hiding linked comments is the only way to deal with scammers.on the bright side I just learned a new word... obfuscate cheers
