I feel like Wurrzag could be better in domination, cause the maps tend to be bigger and games longer. But grom probably better in land battles cause you can't really snipe easily. Wurzzag with the right tools dies pretty quickly
It occurrs to me that a series with Turin coaching a RUclipsr with RTS background new to TWWH to climb the domination total tavern ladder, similar to day9 learns dota with purge would be SICK.
I love that you took the time to capture some cinematic shots for this video. The game simply looks so good, I also enjoy it when you zoom into cool looking scenes in battle replays! :)
1. The little easter eggs (No, I'm Groot! and the Mannfred face photoshop) made this video even better. Love those. 2. Sad to see bugs be a determining factor for like four or five of the lords. Yikes! Am somewhat glad my graphics card burned out so I've been forced to be patient to play IE, ha.
the bugs arent too bad, at least these ones, for IE there is only 1 bug that has been annoying, and thats units constantly forgetting their orders. there are times when ill tell a unit to attack soemthing, 1 second later it goes zzz, attack again, 1s later, goes zzz, rinse and repeat like 3 more times until it finally sticks. NOT NOTICING THIS AND THAT UNIT GETTING INTO YOUR BACKLINE BC OF IT IS FRSTRATING
an argument can be made for skavenslaves being the best lord. Bring them with a chieftain, immediately desummon them, and the Chieftain's Power Grab ability activates which gives extra LD to all of your units (as long as he is on the map)
I think that Tyrion is underrated. His strength comes from the fact that whenever you see High Elves, you always have to prepare something 'Anti-Tyrion', because if you don't, and he gets picked, he will sunfang 2-3 units of infantry out of existence and beat the tar out of your elite units. Unlike most raidboss fighters, you can't shoot him because of his size and speed. Because of said speed, he can also avoid a lot of slower figters like Grimgor and pick his own engagements. And you have to do this EVEN IF HE DOESN'T GET PICKED. Just the fact you're up against their faction means you have to allocate some gold to countering a very specific type of threat that may not even get picked at all.
If everyone is always prepping for Tyrion, wouldn't it be more advantageous to not pick him and use your own gold to skew a different way? I'm a newbie, genuinely curious.
@@Americanheld First of all, not everyone is aware of this or thinks this way. This is just my own observation. If I don't prep for Tyrion and get hit by him, I will have a very bad time. This is especially bad in Land Battles where you HAVE to kill him. I don't know how universally accepted this observation is at tournament levels. Second, you are technically correct, but this is only true if you know that your opponent knows this, which you normally won't. You can't mindgame them if they aren't playing if you know what I mean.
I hope Kislev gets some love. Drycha in campaign gets feral bear units that would fit great. I don't know what else to add but more variety would be great. maybe a mid tier halberd unit and a streltsi hero for some cool hybrid action.
Not sure I agree with the Exalted Lord of Change being the best overall option for Tzeentch. While double summonable Furies is good, I’ve personally found that a Sorcerer of Tzeentch on a frisbee is better. While their melee stats are slightly worse than the Lord of Change, they are faster (can get into position easier), have the Paragon of Change passive that helps nearby unit’s barriers, can summon a unit of Spawn which seem more durable than the Furies, and pretty much perform the same role. With similar spells / abilities taken plus the frisbee, they’re 600 to 700 gold cheaper which allows you to take an extra unit and/or chevron your units. And as you mentioned, the Staff of Change isn’t the best item to take for its gold cost.
I'm surprised the Chaos Sorcerer Lord of Tzeentch wasn't the winner for his faction. With his small model size while on a disk he has all the mobility of the greater demons with the same magic for a fraction of the cost with better survivability in most cases.
I agree. Chaos Sorcerer Lord of Tzeentch on Disc is the best. Nobody can't catch him while floating. He also has Paragon of Change, god-like skill for all Tzeentch troops in capture point area.
For Wood Elves I prefer using Spellweaver(life) on her eagle. Just cause of arcane conduit for faster spells and loics shroud + 2 dragons is very good to attack back lines. Just do breath attack, charge then dwellers bellow when the they surround one of the dragons.
You should do some testing on orion for the wood elves. He has won me so many dom matches, he can take down large targets, can cause some disruption with his spells, and he doesnt die. I'm not a great player, so id be curious to see him in sone better players hands. Sisters are great, but orion is a sleeper i think.
For Kislev i really like Boris, either on horse or bear. 9/10 the enemy lord is going to be a large unit, be it a large model or mounted. And Boris just rips and tears anything resembling a large unit to shreds. and he can take a lot of punishment to boot. And when it comes to dealing with infantry hes also very effective due to his Glaive active ability.

It's Italian Spartacus and Turin's faces merged together. There's another one too with Turin's hair and the lack of Sparty's beard, with Sparty's eyes instead. Super cursed image. "Everchosen Turin faceswap" in google should reveal it.
So as was feared, half of the picks are for cheap no-names rather than Legendary lords. The meta for units is already tier 1/tier 2 and now the same for lord choices. I believe elites units and Legendary lords either need to have the formula cost adjusted downward or given other advantages over chaff and turn 10 units. Who gets excited when Turin begins a cast by saying, "On this side we have a sorcerer leading an army of marauders into the sunset"?

I'm still iffy on the Bray Shaman as the best lord for Beastmen. Especially in domination. I think Morghur or Taurox take the spot. Malagor, Khazrak and the Bray Shaman can get picked off too easily especially by factions with good ranged which is something the beastmen already struggle with.
Not Grombrindal?? That’s a grudgin’!! But more seriously, is it just cost that makes Grombri with a Rune Smith hero less viable? I do also like the army buff from Thorek but does I find Grombi can hit like a mack truck at times and is a very durable fighter
Not as good as Sigvald and expensive but the Daemon Prince of Slaanesh is insane if your opposing faction can route or crumble and they can't just shoot him down with no ap missile units. He has great stats and reduces melee attack and defense by an insane amount constantly around himself. The Chaos lord of Slaanesh is also ok. He's like a mounted sigvald with a silver shield, armor, and secret perfect vigor but no regen. Mounted sigvald isn't as good as footgald though. Norscan lords both suck. Best lord is the cheapest unit you can find and unsummon them right away (Is that doable?). Wulfrik's boat is great. Too bad Wulfrik dies in like 2 minutes to 4 ranged units and is too big to dodge on his mammoth. Throgg isn't much better with his giant hitbox soaking all the arrows. Wulfrik on a mammoth needs a shield. You're just paying a lot to give your opponents good targets for lord sniping and unfortunately ladder is like 80% lord sniping. So they're just an expensive mammoth or I dunno what Throgg should be compared to, a giant?, that you're too afraid to use because if they die, and they will die unless your opponent is much worse, you just lose. Horse Wulfrik might work, and he's not armor piercing on a horse which works with the 90% bonus base attack, but then you compare him to the WoC lords and almost all of them are better... I mean Horserick is just valkia except his boat feels slower, he can't fly, his model is bigger, and his melee stats are worse and lacks armor piercing. I'd say Tyrion is the best high elf lord due to bugged healing meaning he's going to have like 1.6x his normal health without spending winds, and constant ridiculous melee stats. He can almost duel skarbrand and maybe would if the healing didn't have a cooldown. The vampire coast captains are just more vulnerable than cylostra. If they're on foot they're too slow and can't duel and if they're on a crab they just eat arrows. Again you should treat lords as "if this dies I just lose" and 80% of ladder players have some plan to snipe your lord. Cylostra eats arrows too but at least she's tankier. Maybe the captains are fine just because the mounts of all the lords are so big. I'd still put sisters above ancient treemen because I suspect the treemen just eat arrows. It's like bringing Count Noctilus in his mecha. You're just providing a pincushion that causes your entire army to lose leadership. Even against melee factions the pincushion lords might get hit by like an exalted plaguebearer and they're usually too slow to get out of bad spots.
I disagree on the high elf choice. The regular mage has the book of hoeth and starwood staff giving ridiculous WoM. with that i found its usually better to go for a different lord and get a mage. Honestly, i think Imrik is the best for the same reasons as you gave for Franz
@@DanielCosta-zp6jl yeah but with life mage support he'll pay for himself easily enough. His real value is that he can beat skarbrand and Belakor in a duel, easily If you have regrowth, As well as the melee attack buff which helps silverin guard/white lions hurt elite units
Yeah but you’re dumping almost 4k gold into that combo. Meaning your army will be extremely small and considering HE already struggles with their army size it means Imrik have to hard carry a lot.
The most cost effective is probably Alarielle , cheap (for HE lord) what allows to goes high elves wider. Healing is great combination with HE melle prowess and mastery, and has three spammable passives two most useful being Life Bloom, Shield of Saphery. Thanks to high melee defence, Shieldstone of Isha and great acces to healing is suprisingly survivable for character with only 3880 HP, and her eagel + phoenix are great combination in many matchups to attack enemy backline. Boon of Isha is good against new deamon factions adding HE immunity to psychology and magical damage that they mostly lack.
Beastmen - Disagree. I think Malagor still the best one. His spell choice might be limited but his mobility will make him survive until the end. Great Bray Shaman on chariot is good too but He is very vulnerable against Lord Snipe meta. Ogre - Agree. Slaughtermaster is the best one. Tyrant is also okay in some matchup because he can regen HP himself. Two LLs are worst. Tzeentch - Disagree. Chaos Sorcerer Lord of Tzeentch on Disc is the best. More mobility and more cost-effective. Exalted Lord of Change can summon Chaos Furies twice but so what? Tzeentch always pick 3-4 Chaos Furies every matches anyways. Greenskins - Agree. Grom is the best currently. However if Azhag get all his Legendary Items and skills back, he would be instead. Wyvern speed + Spirit Leech spam is seriously broken.
I personally think Repanse is probably one of the best bret lords, she beats down a lot of characters surprisingly and with her de buff can support bret troops really well.
One small update - after more testing, I feel Wurrzag is actually the best GS lord since I recorded this a week ago. Cheers!
What was it that pushed him ahead of Grom in your opinion?
The Boogielord just can’t stop winning

I'm surprised I don't see more of these in your tournaments 🤔
No Imrik? 😢
He hate h elves that’s why.
I disagree on the high elf choice. The regular mage has the book of hoeth and starwood staff giving ridiculous WoM. with that i found its usually better to go for a different lord and get a mage. Honestly, i think Imrik is the best for the same reasons as you gave for Franz
Yes emrik is really good but expensive.
I hate that to be able to use Valkia in PVP I have to buy the DLC
you missed chaos dwarfs
Best Lord for Beastmen Bray Shaman?? That’s a hero character, no?
Honestly for skaven the best by far is the grey on Bell, not ikit
You forgot the Tau. How could you…
HOW DARE YOU NOT MENTION IMRIK AS THE TRUE BEST LORD IN THE GAME!? HE IS MAGNIFICENT! HE EVEN SAYS SO HIMSELF!!!
I personally think Repanse is probably one of the best bret lords, she beats down a lot of characters surprisingly and with her de buff can support bret troops really well.
