Great question. It’s definitely possible to pass the exams without any office or field experience, however this type of experience is such a great way to deepen your understanding of a lot of the concepts. Some people might work in an office and never experience on-site construction work. Others might be on site all the time and not get any project management/office experience. So, they’ll have to go deeper into those topics in books, resources, etc. The key to these exams is learning the information in different types of modalities. Meaning not just textbooks, not just office work, not just videos. A little bit of everything. And if you don’t have the opportunity to work in office, make up for it with volunteering, asking to go onto construction sites, and alternate resources.
Byoung, do you need office experience to take the exams or can just learning from books be enough to pass all six tests.
