The handles are done with dip molding. I’m a product engineer at a dip molding company and we do tons of things similar to this as well as larger parts that instead of sticking to the piece of metal you use it as a mold and remove it and are left with a soft plastic shell of the metal mold. Interesting process that can be used for a variety of things especially when you get into adding dielectrics to it and make insulating products
Another cracking design with the jaws keeping parallel , I would definitely be happy to use them on pipe fittings , radiators ,etc , unlike the usual pipe wrench that would chew up the edges of the fittings if you're not careful.
I have used, tried and owned most top brands, and am an avid American made tool purchaser mainly, with that said I use and currently only buy knipex pliers 90%+ of the time.
Cheers if I get a point where my review pile is empty il stuck something up. im pretty straight forwards though. I use Ballistol for protection and to clean I either use a strong cleaner like a tar remover for cars or I stick them in the ultrasonic with a dash of APC and warm water then get them bone dry and ballistol them again.
I wen to the hardware store to buy something to use to unscrew the the thing (yes, my English vocabulary is absolutely excellent 😅) in my Convoy S2+. I was presented Knipex and the asking price was 33 GBP😮 And it's not even a Swedish brand as Bahco is. I ended up buying something from AE for about $2. So, that still works! I got the LED swapped out with an ease!
Well it just goes to show you don't always nee to buy the expensive tools to get a job done. I do have normal priced tools as well the ones im reviewing are ones which stand out but they do have a much higher price :-) Glad you got the job done mate.
Regarding the handle labeling, why is the length in mm (180mm) and the jaw width in inches (1 1/2") ? :-) I also noticed that opening at 1 1/2" as per the window is actually larger. Anyway, have one and it is nice although pricey.
Yes, I have tools from rothenberger, they have similar pliers to the knipex cobra, with a push button design, but i have to say, the knipex ones are better in terms of durability, and design. But rothenberger makes great tools. But at the end of the day I will use knipex ones.

So far these have been great, nothing has given them any issues. usual Knipex quality and a nice tool to use on radiators especially.

I use it all the time and it is absolutely amazing . 👍
Enjoyable to use and not too massive to carry for me.
Would be interested in a video on how you maintain your tools, and how often you do it etc... Great video, and those Knipex pliers wrenches are great

Blow or wipe them off and wipe down with your favorite oil, wipe excess off, done. Don’t complicate a uncomplicated task

Awesome Review. I always carry a set of Cobras in my EDC kit. I think its an essential bit of gear.
Totally agree on the cobras. what size you carry? i like my smaller ones and they seem to do most jobs for me so far.
Gde da kupimcomplete icena
Does anyone know who or use the brand Rothenberg? They also make similar adjustable pliers.
Ive not seen them available when I live which is a shame are they decent kit?
