Hi matt good comparison i got a pair of the Boston 12s for xmas 2 runs so far and im loving them!like you said not much padding round the heel but once i got the laces sorted and did a runners knot i was good to go 😊👍
In my country the Cloud Flow 4 costs the same price of the Adios 7 ( Adios 8 did not release yet !) and both are 30% less expensive them the Boston 12. Would you recommend the Flow 4 as a very good replacement for the nimble Adios ? Recently I got the Cloud Eclipse and it is one of the best shoes I ever had to use during hot days and rainy days. Ultra breathable and I can't wait to try another ON shoes.
I’m glad to hear you’re enjoying the Cloudeclipse! They’re one of my favorite shoes of 2023! The Cloudflow 4 are not quite as light and nimble as the Adios, but I think they’re a little more well rounded and can be used for more types of runs than the Adios.
I was skeptical of the cloud flow 4 and on shoes in general, but I use the shoe for daily use and occasional runs, and my average pace is actually much higher than the nova blast 4 and actually comparable to the magic speed 3. The shoe removes fatigue from standing and is actually a very energizing walking shoe as well. I highly recommend it. Very snappy turnover
Have a new pair of the Boston 12s and agree with the comments about the laces. Why overcomplicate the eyelits, when a simple hole has been working for ever? (Same comment as for the Ultraboost light, aargh) Tad hard to get on, but once on great fit. Also surcumbed to the little toe hot spot as well, so review matches my experiance. Hey Steve! You’re good to wait; Adidas drops sales n their shoes all the time with no warning! For me the Speed 3 is better than the Boston 12 because I like the softer ride. Also, the Speed 3 has more pop!
Hi Matt! Just bought 2 pairs of Boston 12 cause I was unsure about the sizing! One 39 1/3 and one 40. So close but sooooo different! I have wide feet, the one felt tight but good in length, the other one too wide and too long! Really torn on which one to keep now since I loved the ride 😅
Laces in Boston 12 (Adidas in general) are probably the worst on the market. Could get the lockdown right until i swapped laces. Other then that, Boston has been a good speed trainer for me.

They must have done studies where the over engineering of the eyelets leads to a higher opinion of the shoe! 😆

Ugh! Sorry to hear you didn’t find the perfect fit! Still, it’s a pretty easy choice if you’re set on keeping one of them!

Good to hear you were able to fix them with a lace swap. Still, it would have been easier if Adidas just sent them with laces that work for you.
