This is the best infection au I’ve seen and I like the small hints as well! 1. Marth perhaps being infected was surprising but after learning that the infection slows if your calm or your sanity is well, being with the always cheerful villager who is a pacifist actually helps slow down the infection for weeks (I don’t know how long it’s been but I think the infected have 4 days till stage 4, each day getting worse.) allowing him to continue to survive. However once he starts stressing or panicking, or losing his sanity the infection gets up to speed but not as fast as being stung multiple times. Really shows the small detail. 2. I’m still worried for Megaman because even if he is a robot he can still become a suit for a small infected that in my opinion, would be jigglypuff since she has NO protection whatsoever and I’m not going to be surprised if she is infected. But if Megaman is safe and was just injured then I’m worried what attacked him, since he has scratch marks like something with claws or a weapon attacked him and the eyes is still unknown to me as how was it plucked out? I’m going to edit this when I look at the smash roster again. 3. I don’t know much of the kid Icarus games but lady palutena’s infection is quite intriguing and confusing. I know each infected are different depending on who it is but I feel like her infected form is like sirens when they act human just to reveal themselves as monsters, although I guess being the goddess of light she probably has some immunity to the infection keeping her from being violent and her being a calm person helps reduce the speed. However she said “everyone has to be here” very ominous with a darker tone in the back when it was said so that kinda puts my theory of her being a siren like infected on the table. 4. Those with strong willpower are able to control themselves in their infected stages, mewtwo was a good example, and so was palutena apologizing to pit. That could really turn the tide of battle maybe being able to convince an infected person with the “talk no jitsu” but is very risky. 5. Where was mr game and watch? We know that specific location where the doctors base was where yoshi died to Mr game and watch so what was he doing? Especially since yoshi’s corpse was near the base (or his guts and tongue). That’s all I will say, I hope luth has a well deserved break!

i was trying to find out who could have attacked megaman and if i just left out the tendrils (if they can leave scratch marks) the characters in smash who could injure and leave huge scratch marks on megaman are the following: Bowser - His claws, especially in attacks like Forward Smash, could leave serious marks. King K. Rool - His metal-plated body and powerful claws could certainly cause serious damage. Ridley - His sharp claws and tail could scratch Mega Man’s armor with attacks like Forward Smash and Side Special (Skewer). Sharp Weapon Users Sephiroth - His Masamune sword is absurdly powerful, capable of slicing through many materials. (although he isn't here in this au... i think) Meta Knight - His Galaxia sword is extremely sharp and rapid slashes could leave deep scratches. Lucina/Roy/Ike/Chrom - All wield sharp swords, with Ike’s Ragnell being especially powerful. Byleth - The Sword of the Creator is a magical whip sword that could potentially cut into Mega Man’s armor. Pyra/Mythra - Their Aegis weapons have extreme cutting power. (but someone said they are just swords so im not sure) Shulk - The Monado has incredible cutting abilities, especially with the Buster art activated. Special Cases Steve (Minecraft) - The Diamond Sword/Axe is made of one of the hardest materials in Minecraft, possibly able to scratch or cut Mega Man. (although he is a DLC character not seen yet) Bayonetta - Her Wicked Weaves summon demonic attacks that could potentially cause scratches. I think I forgot a few but they are all I can remember

if the creator of the au is reading this, ive got an idea that involves megaman ending the virus since megaman probably knows he can't deal with the infection himself, he and pit could go to dr.wily or dr.light and ask him if he can rebuild every robot master he has faced, and probably get fixed himself, and create an army of robots to help stop whoever spread out the corruption. i need to know if this is a good idea
this would be a good idea because only the people with smash invites (excluding him and the robot masters) can be infected, but on the other hand, they can still be hurt.
But maybe we can get Shadow! He isn’t in smash! Thus making him immune! Plus he’s very difficult to beat since he’s really powerful. So if Sonic is infected, Shadow could deal with him!
@UndjizuvaTjeenao2010 it wouldn’t make sense to bring either of those two due to them not being characters in the game. Shadow only has an assist trophy role while Metal is a spirit. Plus Metals copying would pretty risky, because he’d have a chance of infecting himself
I have 2 theories either she's infected but is immune to its effects as she's not really organic i don't think due to her divine status or worse the infection is controling her Ps: can you make banjo-kazooi survive because of dumb luck he seems like that kind of character like the type of deal where if a tentacle is about to stab him in the head he bends down because he saw something interesting just think it would be really funny

I think the reason why Inkling Girl was in the water and gigantified was because when she got infected she realized something was wrong and in trying to find a way to get rid of it she just kinda... tried to reset herself. Really dark when ya think about it
@@UltraInstinct_Miles Inklings normally cannot survive in water, so if that is the case, I sincerely hope they thought it would just cause them to immediately get revived like in most Super Smash Bros fights. The whole cast are in a permanent stamina mode right now with no way to revive, meaning once their health reaches zero percent or they are fully infected, there is no way to come back. That probably explains why the Inkling didn’t just revive when reaching the water, as well as the infection protecting most of their body from the usual effects an Inkling experiences in the water.
Yeah, where as Marth had his hand cut off almost immediately after he got stun. But I do have a theory... we've seen the person doesn't need to be whole to be infected, as the giant Inkling that got Snake was just a head. What if while Marth himself is ok, his hand is now an infected appendaged that's going to come after him to 'make himself complete' as it where?
I think that it wasn't that Olimar was still alive, but instead that the pickmen were, and they hid in Olimar's corpse for the infection to mutate them into something more powerful and avoid detection.
The way my brain interprets that is Poppy Playtime Chapter 3 with Dogday and the mini critters, but I can definitely see the pikmen basically puppeteering Olimar

Edit: I didn’t know the creator debunked Darkhon and Galeem as the cause of the virus/ I think it’s possible that Master Core or Tabuu started the virus: Master Core is probably immune and This Au Tabuu could’ve survived or decided to run after the sonic brawl cutscene and undo the subspace to go into hiding. The virus could be his revenge.

Honestly, i think we're dealing with a Thing-esk type of Parasite, it lines up up with what we know about the infection right now: - Horrific body horror to the victims when not perfectly copied - keeps traces of the victims personality to pass itself off as the original - Violent when confronted - Intelligent and knows how to take advantage of the survivors it finds - The ability to break the anatomy of the host to expand into greater size - Likely to die to Fire/Ice powers

Olimar and Mewtwo are special cases which i dont fully understand yet, like how is Dr. Mario still alive). The thing which sticks out is that since the character selection screen was shown Marth always had the ? on him (is hard to see) which signifies that he could be infected since the encounter with Mario (Infection probably was slower since the hand was gone). On day 9 where everyone assumed Dr. Mario died everyone looked shocked at the window, but Marth had one eye closed and the other one was dull or getting dull (he didn't smile tho so he could still be in Phase 1 going into Phase 2. If eye is already dull then the closed eye is probably already empty and hes going into Phase 3 turning like Palutena which is why the part with her earlier was so important) The thing that i want to say is that he wouldn't lie about being infected, but he just doesn't know himself. I could see this taking a bad turn for the group of four, leading them to bad decisions or splitting of the group reducing it to only 2 survivors where i think that Marth leaving with Villager since they are interacting on Day 10 according to Ness his notes. Now its just me rambling at this point but where it says "He doesn't know hes lying" you can also see something resembling Pikachu where his neck (or around his head idk) being split pointing that hes also dead and or infected (possibly shown on the screen after infected PKMN Trainers appearance where it was said that he doesn't know he's lying) OH also Roy is probably infected too the same Rosalina is (but maybe in a different Phase? Olimar as a comparison was at one point also just like a really dull dark gray). Barely visible but not confirmed since Pikachu also hasnt anything confirmed i think that could point to Roy aswell. For proof i looked up for the Ultimate Selection Screen on google, first imagine is probably the character selection screen used for this picture (left side blue, right yellow). Afterwards i also checked the pixels on Roy the same i did with Rosaline and they were both a consistent color with the difference that shes completely drenched in that color. It could be also used to disprove that Roy is infected but maybe that was just to confirm that she was infected since it was already hinted in In Outside the Castle Walls where the Mushroom People that were invited with the difference that Rosalina was gray (might could had be a hint that her body is already empty). Just wanted to throw this also in the room since it could also be a really cool hidden detail although this entire series has sooooooo many cool hidden details which got confirmed part by part. This series is so cool to me. Creepy infection stories are my obsession. And connected with something family friendly? Depending on what it is, but even more dope.
First thing, Marth isn’t infected, his portrait is just slightly greyed out because he took a grievous wound. He’s very badly wounded so he isn’t infected, nor is he dead. Also for Palutena I’m pretty sure what’s being implied here is that she’s the cause of all of this. She did something to create this infection and now it’s spreading beyond her control, which is why she says sorry while crying as Pit flies off. She grants him the power of flight, same applies to Dark Pit. It only stands to reason that she wouldn’t still be doing that if her plan was to continue the spread. She’s at Phase 4 because that’s it’s final form, and she’s either it’s originator or patient zero. At least that’s what I got from all that.
As much as i want this to me true, there is a faint question mark over Marth's portrait, and based off of the question mark's history, i can only hope he lives
i would disagree with you here just for the sake of counterargument but check Marth where everyone was looking shocked to the window, one eye is closed and the other one was dull (Stage 2 symptom). Also since the character selection screen was shown the ? mark was already there and the questionmark usually indicates an unknown status. The closed eye could indicate that it is already dull/empty since at "The Messenger" Palutenas eyes were censored, also she was in Stage 3 (probably, not 100% sure since no other signs besides probably remnants of personality. Also it was mentioned that they are violent but dont hunt). Maybe she could hold it off better then the others since she's a goddess with prior knowledge of the infection (since she warned Pit). I wouldn't say that she was responsible for the infection, but that she knew something. So long story short, Marth is definitely infected and alone with Villager on Day 10, where they'll maybe could split off because of the bad influence from the infected Marth and bad judgement (Palutenas line of gather everyone was with a different tone then the entire conversation too as comparison). Could be wrong tho since im just theorizing too lol
@@marudayo-I don’t think Marth is actually infected. I believe the question mark is indicating that marth might have been hiding something from everyone. Notice how he never spoke at all to anyone? We know marth can talk but he didn’t even utter a single word, to me marth must have gotten a glimpse of the infection and is now completely serious and silent because of the fact that in his perspective, that could’ve been him at any time. Marth might know what the virus motivation was and that it shook him to his core. As for mega man he has a question mark because of what pit thinks

The only other time the question mark appeared was on Mewtwo after he got stabbed. First it was normal, then it appeared as dead (important for the second reason, since the cross is placed the face and is different for each character) then it was as if he got infected and then turn into a normal question mark like on Marth. And in Confuser it got showed us that that question mark confirmed that he got infected (and not shown that he died). I think that Megaman being "infected" and with the question mark is just to throw us off since its just a cable coming from his eye socket and not a tentacle and Palutena stated that he cant be infected + his lore of being fully a robot. But how would we explain the ? on Marth? They dont even know the character selection screen and is only for us, the people watching to confirm their status. I could also disprove the point of Marth hiding something. In Ness his Day 7 Notes Sheik wanted to leave since "*she* has been worried about something". Villager doesnt know probably since hes from a peaceful/pacifist world, AND or Marth not knowing that he's still infected. Also it was stated in Chapter 5 that "He doesnt know hes lying" so if we take that information from my post and this into consideration i think that its enough to confirm that hes still infected and that it only slowed down the infection imo. These are just further points to prove it (even though the second thing with the lie and Marth hiding stuff is just speculation on my part tbf)
@ hmm yeah you make a good point. Zelda and sheik in the smash verse are two different characters but it leads me to believe that sheik probably experienced this and that would explain why she didn’t go to hyrule to get ganon. But that leaves the question for other fighters such as samus, robin, corrin, pyra/mythra, byleth, and alph. Technically all of them are separate characters so what would happen if suit samus gets infected? Would it affect dark samus and zero suit? What about any of the links?
Chances are it's really just the creator's tricks for one of both of them lol, and that said character is perfectly fine! BUT...I don't think Marth is safe...I think he is in fact infected. And for once you get stung, *just accept your fate.*
I really feel sorry for Cappy. Mario is one of Cappy's best friends and he had to watch him die twice. Once the original Mario and Dr. Mario, but it was confirmed that Dr. Mario is still alive. Cappy had a relieved but sad impression when he met Dr. Mario. Relieved that he could somehow see Mario again, but sad because he knew that Dr. Mario was not the Mario he knew. And when he had to watch Mario “die” a second time, he immediately burst into tears 😢
I hoped sonic escape from the infection. The Mario characters are dropping like flies, except Bowser. Despite his evilness I hope he’s ok and not infected.
I don’t know, knowing Sonic’s ego he probably would get stabbed in the back or taken out without notice, there has been times that sonic underestimated his opponents before and payed the price for that.
Since Mewtwo is a psychic type and psychic resist the poison type. That might mean Mewtwo may resist the effects of this virus or at least have some control. Also I wonder what the Metroid characters are up to. For Samus this is just the average Tuesday for her. She dealt with the X parasites and Phazon before. Ridley and the space pirates will find a way to weaponizers this infection. Maybe Ridley would infect himself to become stronger will still having control over his mind. Dark Samus would be interesting. I'm not sure how Phazon would interact with the virus. Would Phazon take control over the virus and mutated ??? Can Dark Samus even get infected ???
I think it would be something similar to being partially immune where the Faison kind of fights off the infection or better case scenario is just fully immune because of the face on as it also corrupt stuff it touches

No way that was me 6:54 But some things you forgot to point out when I said in the dm I sent was that there were some very hidden details, like bowser and Zelda having a faint X on their icon, indicating they will die or are already dead, but just like Marth’s icon, Rosalina and Luma have a lot more purple on them than Marth despite not being shown yet, basically indicating they are infected or going to be we can’t know yet due to no chapters or anything coming out until sometime in October because of Luft-P’s break and focus on college (confirmed by him) but yea, thanks for mentioning me

The thing is, I saw a Question mark on both Marth and Megaman, it's barely visible, but it is there. I think this might be a hint at Megaman not being immune to the virus. I don't know for sure, but me and my friends are sure trying to figure it out.
Something to add to the whole cutting off a limb only slows down the walking dead virus, it actually stops the spread, but lees hand was cut off too slow you have to be instant with the amputation
I looked at Marth’s icon again to check for the purplish tint described in the video, and though it was very subtle, the tint was there. This in my mind could mean one of two things. The first is that he is indeed slowly being infected, although it is taking a heck of a long time because the source of his infection was amputated by The Villager. The second is that he is slowly losing his sanity, as Marth seemingly has not shaved at all in the ten days since the attack, and always looks depressed. No matter what the case actually is though, I can say whatever is going on probably is not good news. (I checked the other icons as well for anything that might have been missed in the video, and while there almost wasn’t anything new that popped out to me, I can confirm for sure that unfortunately ROB was destroyed for good, as his icon had the X on it that indicates a character is deceased.)
@ If that is the case, I wonder if taking off the entire arm would fix the issue. If not, I am terrified to see what might eventually happen to Marth. Mewtwo fusing with Pichu after being infected was nightmare fuel. Imagine what might occur if it turns out Marth has to basically watch himself get infected with no way to stop it from the arm all the way to the rest of his body.
@ Even if only the amputated hand is infected, it could definitely cause problems in the future. It takes just one sting on any part of the body to slowly get infected. All Marth’s hand needs to do to be a threat is to sting someone powerful like Sonic or Cloud on the foot or lower leg a few times, and it is seriously game over for a lot of characters.
I seriously want a scene near the end of the series where King Dedede saves Kirby from the infection, as it would sort of be poetic as Kirby usually saves Dedede from brainwashing.

What you said about the link hades and sephiroth I agree with cause there’s no goal for them to do that, but there is one entity in ssbu that would be likely to do that as their goal. Notice how the series is called a world in dark and the main cause of the infection is tentacles. My theory is that after the characters defeated galeem and darkon, darkon quickly jabbed Kirby with one of his tentacles starting the virus.
I saw some people theorized that maybe Palutena was patient 0 and she infected kirby, I see some say she made the virus or maybe brought it to the smash universe cuz she's a gpd
I dunno I mean it’s a good idea for that, if darkhon is behind this then would that also state that galeem is also present somewhere in the smash universe? If that’s the case then galeem would properly retaliate back just like how they did in the storyline in the game.

One theory I have is that the start of the virus is not from any of the characters in smash but rather just a virus/parasite that was hiding in a plant or food in the smash world until Kirby ended finding and devouring it which than led to the infection of all worlds. there is also that fact that non smash characters can't be infected by the virus so it could mean characters from different worlds can band together to make a cure and destroy the infection army once and for all.
Rosalinas icon seems a bit purple so I think something bad will happen if she's a goner because she is technically god in the Mario universe so we are definitely cooked

This was a really great video! I do want to correct the Walking Dead Telltale thing though. The only reason Lee still got infected is because he cut his arm off too late that the virus had already spread past the area he cut. Aj in Season 4 did the same to Clem, but her bite was farther down her leg than Lee's bite was down his arm, and AJ cut her leg off at the knee, allowing her to live.
The reason why marth is infected is because they didnt completely chop his whole arm off. In telltale's twd season 2 there's a character named reggie who got bit before the game take place but he survived because they removed his entire arm and not a half or a quarter of it

I feel like some people don’t realize a few things in this au. Sonic is faster than a speeding bullet, meaning if he gets infected, he can take out everyone quickly with no survivors. Pac-Man is dangerous if he gets infected, he can eat everyone like Kirby, but he’ll chase down anyone that catches his attention. Meta knight is gonna survive because he has his halberd, which will aid him in getaways that are dangerously vital to him. Just wanted to point this out!

Ok, so if Darkhon and Galeem dont exist in this AU, is it possible to rule out Tabuu from Subspace Emissary? He would have reason to cause a virus, considering he was manipulating Master Hand and the Subspace army, and he was also absorbing power from other worlds. He could use this virus as a means for both since he's not the type of character to actively use his power to overwhelm or overpower. I mean, Sonic alone busted his wings despite Tabuu being the strongest he could be with the completion of the Great Maze. If he is ruled out, then I'm not too sure who in the roster could be at fault.
I kinda thought about this one for quite some time, what if it was tabuu from brawl? I mean think about it, in brawl tabuu almost was successful on taking every fighter (minus sonic of course) but failed. Secondly is his name, Tabuu stands for corruption or forbidden so the virus is pretty much corruption and the blood and instant death is against the smash bros rules hence forth forbidden in the smash universe. If it’s not crazy hand or ganondorf or any other smash bros villains my best bet could be tabuu.

Completely unrelated to the rest of the comments here but Ganondorf would not create this, bowser wouldn’t, Ridley might but he has no reason to, so none of the villains work because they don’t have a reason. Plus I’d believe the smarter ones like rudely and Ganon would have the common sense that even if they don’t like it, that they should help the heroes.

I don’t have any theories to who made the virus but I’m not surprised that Kirby could be the first infected. He probably tried to defend himself against maybe an original organism of the infection by eating it and got stabbed in the mouth instead
I think the infection comes from Dharkon (the World of Dark boss from Ultimate's adventure mode). Dark, tentacles, possession-like situation - feels like that M.O. Also, Dr. Mario probably gets to live uninfected bc of Mario's death somehow. I curious where the other Fire Emblem fighters, Dark Pit and Link are. Also, Ganon, Bowser, King K. Rool, Sepiroth, Kazuya, Joker and Bayonetta not appearing yet stresses me. They all have connections to darkness and are powerful enough to be an asset to either side...
For me, it has to be one of the main villains from smash like crazy hand and master hand, because think about it how are the other villains from different series like dr.eggman going to enter smash

my main suspect for now who caused the infection is kazuya mishima because when i saw kirby being the first infected i remember the time where kirby escape from kazuya so he probably infected him for revenge
1: I personally suspect that palutena may be patient zero of the infection. 2: I dont think its an actual virus but more of a parasite that would grow from the spreading of a bacteria for now(said bacteria would not need its host to be alive to grow, just to have access to nutrient). 3: I think the author will make dark samus immune to the infection if its a parasite because it would be a weird concept otherwise, dark samus being himself originaly a parasite, we would talk about a parasite infected by another parasite... 4: I think that the possible immunity of robotic being to the virus will be revoked in the next chapter, this would explain why pichu and olimars were still moving and it would make sense since we talk about a potential parasite and in the previous chapter we clearly saw that mario did not do any maintenance on rob since he was in pretty bad shape so we can deduce that he only assumed that robotic was immune.
My speculation on who set the infection Off was one of the pokemon, when pokemon trainer and metwo came into picture there was a text saying "it was all your fault, he will catch you all", which i suspect To refer To the pokemon and pkmn trainer, and with how the pikmin from olimar and cappy from mario are aparentally considered separate beings (that they can get infected) summons (at the least from characters) can be infected and/or separated from the main fighter, which could also hint at a fact that assist trophy and poke/master ball (or ultra Ball, i don't Remember which was in smash) could also be a prime suspect or get infected
So it's sorta confirmed that R.O.B And MegaMan are inmune due to being Robots, which makes me wonder, If there's any other inmune character? So, without getting into powerscaling, Snonic, Metal Virus Whatever, Dark Samus is stated to be a being made of Phason (Phazon? Phaeson? Jason? Idk) so She might be inmune since, well, how could you infect a Being made of energy? (If you don't know, Phason is the The Energy that Samus shoots in her Final Smash). Also Aegis is stated to be an "Artificial Lifeform" (At least that's what it says in the wiki, I know Nothing abt Xenoblade Lore) made by "The Architect" (Don't know who that guy is) so maybe She is inmune even though "Artificial Lifeform" is not the same as "Robot".
Dude Doctor Mario’s saviour might also be DK but Banjo being his saviour would be awesome! Also Pauluteina (idk how to type her name) possibly being infected is insane, the good guys are so screwed at this point. As for Mega Man he was probably attacked by an infected character.
Nah the survivors still got pretty powerful allys left, Megaman and Sonic both are capable of taking gods down (this since Megaman shares cosmology with Sonic)
Quick theory: Mii Swordfighter can be a serious issue IF the Miis are still able to change their appearance. If Mii Swordfighter is infected and has the ability to change their appearance, it could very well be Ggs for the Smash cast. Someone correct me if I’m wrong or something counters my point
They probably can’t change their appearance since you can’t switch the Mii being used, but there could be a possibility of them being able to use costumes? Probably not, though.
I think for Paultena she wasn’t infected at the moment she was talking to pit but maybe a few hours after that she got infected by somone a lot of times just like mewtwo
My current theory is that whatever created this whole thing must be tied to the disappearance of master hand and crazy hands disappearence. The fact that Kirby was the first to get infected makes me think that whoever did this is trying to address the creator of smash bros directly. He's a supernatural being, explainging how Dr. concludes the virus is non-scientific in origin, and he's already tried to control the smash cast before in The Subspace Emissary. I think the most likely one is that a non fighter from one of the worlds (not hades as you said) though for one to pin point, I am honestly unsure, imma throw my hat in the ring and say something like Gaigas from earthbound, or maybe it’s an original character doing this.

A couple of things to clear up!
•Luft has confirmed that Mewtwo and Pichu are not fused, they are simply buddies.
•Olimar isn’t dead, he is infected and is more or less fused with the Pikmin.
•Dharkon, Galeem, and the spirits never existed in this AU.

This is the best infection au I’ve seen and I like the small hints as well!
1. Marth perhaps being infected was surprising but after learning that the infection slows if your calm or your sanity is well, being with the always cheerful villager who is a pacifist actually helps slow down the infection for weeks (I don’t know how long it’s been but I think the infected have 4 days till stage 4, each day getting worse.) allowing him to continue to survive. However once he starts stressing or panicking, or losing his sanity the infection gets up to speed but not as fast as being stung multiple times. Really shows the small detail.
2. I’m still worried for Megaman because even if he is a robot he can still become a suit for a small infected that in my opinion, would be jigglypuff since she has NO protection whatsoever and I’m not going to be surprised if she is infected. But if Megaman is safe and was just injured then I’m worried what attacked him, since he has scratch marks like something with claws or a weapon attacked him and the eyes is still unknown to me as how was it plucked out? I’m going to edit this when I look at the smash roster again.
3. I don’t know much of the kid Icarus games but lady palutena’s infection is quite intriguing and confusing. I know each infected are different depending on who it is but I feel like her infected form is like sirens when they act human just to reveal themselves as monsters, although I guess being the goddess of light she probably has some immunity to the infection keeping her from being violent and her being a calm person helps reduce the speed. However she said “everyone has to be here” very ominous with a darker tone in the back when it was said so that kinda puts my theory of her being a siren like infected on the table.
4. Those with strong willpower are able to control themselves in their infected stages, mewtwo was a good example, and so was palutena apologizing to pit. That could really turn the tide of battle maybe being able to convince an infected person with the “talk no jitsu” but is very risky.
5. Where was mr game and watch? We know that specific location where the doctors base was where yoshi died to Mr game and watch so what was he doing? Especially since yoshi’s corpse was near the base (or his guts and tongue).
That’s all I will say, I hope luth has a well deserved break!

i was trying to find out who could have attacked megaman and if i just left out the tendrils (if they can leave scratch marks) the characters in smash who could injure and leave huge scratch marks on megaman are the following:
Bowser - His claws, especially in attacks like Forward Smash, could leave serious marks.
King K. Rool - His metal-plated body and powerful claws could certainly cause serious damage.
Ridley - His sharp claws and tail could scratch Mega Man’s armor with attacks like Forward Smash and Side Special (Skewer).
Sharp Weapon Users
Sephiroth - His Masamune sword is absurdly powerful, capable of slicing through many materials. (although he isn't here in this au... i think)
Meta Knight - His Galaxia sword is extremely sharp and rapid slashes could leave deep scratches.
Lucina/Roy/Ike/Chrom - All wield sharp swords, with Ike’s Ragnell being especially powerful.
Byleth - The Sword of the Creator is a magical whip sword that could potentially cut into Mega Man’s armor.
Pyra/Mythra - Their Aegis weapons have extreme cutting power. (but someone said they are just swords so im not sure)
Shulk - The Monado has incredible cutting abilities, especially with the Buster art activated.
Special Cases
Steve (Minecraft) - The Diamond Sword/Axe is made of one of the hardest materials in Minecraft, possibly able to scratch or cut Mega Man. (although he is a DLC character not seen yet)
Bayonetta - Her Wicked Weaves summon demonic attacks that could potentially cause scratches.
I think I forgot a few but they are all I can remember

since megaman probably knows he can't deal with the infection himself, he and pit could go to dr.wily or dr.light and ask him if he can rebuild every robot master he has faced, and probably get fixed himself, and create an army of robots to help stop whoever spread out the corruption.

@@UltraInstinct_Miles Inklings normally cannot survive in water, so if that is the case, I sincerely hope they thought it would just cause them to immediately get revived like in most Super Smash Bros fights. The whole cast are in a permanent stamina mode right now with no way to revive, meaning once their health reaches zero percent or they are fully infected, there is no way to come back. That probably explains why the Inkling didn’t just revive when reaching the water, as well as the infection protecting most of their body from the usual effects an Inkling experiences in the water.

I think that it wasn't that Olimar was still alive, but instead that the pickmen were, and they hid in Olimar's corpse for the infection to mutate them into something more powerful and avoid detection.

I think it’s possible that Master Core or Tabuu started the virus: Master Core is probably immune and This Au Tabuu could’ve survived or decided to run after the sonic brawl cutscene and undo the subspace to go into hiding. The virus could be his revenge.

Honestly, i think we're dealing with a Thing-esk type of Parasite, it lines up up with what we know about the infection right now:
- Horrific body horror to the victims when not perfectly copied
- keeps traces of the victims personality to pass itself off as the original
- Violent when confronted
- Intelligent and knows how to take advantage of the survivors it finds
- The ability to break the anatomy of the host to expand into greater size
- Likely to die to Fire/Ice powers
So it's a combination of the las plagas parasite and The Thing

Now that we can see that Zelda is dead then Sheik probably had something like a vision like Dr. Mario too, which made her suspect something aswell.
"He isnt lying" and "He wouldnt lie either" would probably be Ness and Marth, Villager probably just doesnt know (since during that point, ill just assume that it was at the start of the chapter when they met Dr. Mario)
Why am i throwing this into the room? In Messager Palutena appeared to also be infected (probably Phase 3 entering Phase 4) but still had her Personality kinda intact (cuz it was stated that in Phase 3 that theyll become violent, but wont try to hunt where i think that sanity and fear plays a role, in addition here in in this video the text during Phase 3 it says says "Youre not ok when you cannot be yourself" making her saying something she probably dont want to say. Olimar and Mewtwo are special cases which i dont fully understand yet, like how is Dr. Mario still alive).
The thing which sticks out is that since the character selection screen was shown Marth always had the ? on him (is hard to see) which signifies that he could be infected since the encounter with Mario (Infection probably was slower since the hand was gone). On day 9 where everyone assumed Dr. Mario died everyone looked shocked at the window, but Marth had one eye closed and the other one was dull or getting dull (he didn't smile tho so he could still be in Phase 1 going into Phase 2. If eye is already dull then the closed eye is probably already empty and hes going into Phase 3 turning like Palutena which is why the part with her earlier was so important)
The thing that i want to say is that he wouldn't lie about being infected, but he just doesn't know himself. I could see this taking a bad turn for the group of four, leading them to bad decisions or splitting of the group reducing it to only 2 survivors where i think that Marth leaving with Villager since they are interacting on Day 10 according to Ness his notes.
Now its just me rambling at this point but where it says "He doesn't know hes lying" you can also see something resembling Pikachu where his neck (or around his head idk) being split pointing that hes also dead and or infected (possibly shown on the screen after infected PKMN Trainers appearance where it was said that he doesn't know he's lying)
OH also Roy is probably infected too the same Rosalina is (but maybe in a different Phase? Olimar as a comparison was at one point also just like a really dull dark gray). Barely visible but not confirmed since Pikachu also hasnt anything confirmed i think that could point to Roy aswell. For proof i looked up for the Ultimate Selection Screen on google, first imagine is probably the character selection screen used for this picture (left side blue, right yellow). Afterwards i also checked the pixels on Roy the same i did with Rosaline and they were both a consistent color with the difference that shes completely drenched in that color. This series is so cool to me. Creepy infection stories are my obsession. And connected with something family friendly? Depending on what it is, but even more dope.
First thing, Marth isn’t infected, his portrait is just slightly greyed out because he took a grievous wound. He’s very badly wounded so he isn’t infected, nor is he dead.
Also for Palutena I’m pretty sure what’s being implied here is that she’s the cause of all of this. She did something to create this infection and now it’s spreading beyond her control, which is why she says sorry while crying as Pit flies off. She grants him the power of flight, same applies to Dark Pit. It only stands to reason that she wouldn’t still be doing that if her plan was to continue the spread.
She’s at Phase 4 because that’s it’s final form, and she’s either it’s originator or patient zero. At least that’s what I got from all that.
As much as i want this to me true, there is a faint question mark over Marth's portrait, and based off of the question mark's history, i can only hope he lives
i would disagree with you here just for the sake of counterargument but check Marth where everyone was looking shocked to the window, one eye is closed and the other one was dull (Stage 2 symptom). Also since the character selection screen was shown the ? mark was already there and the questionmark usually indicates an unknown status.
The closed eye could indicate that it is already dull/empty since at "The Messenger" Palutenas eyes were censored, also she was in Stage 3 (probably, not 100% sure since no other signs besides probably remnants of personality. Also it was mentioned that they are violent but dont hunt). Maybe she could hold it off better then the others since she's a goddess with prior knowledge of the infection (since she warned Pit). I wouldn't say that she was responsible for the infection, but that she knew something.
So long story short, Marth is definitely infected and alone with Villager on Day 10, where they'll maybe could split off because of the bad influence from the infected Marth and bad judgement (Palutenas line of gather everyone was with a different tone then the entire conversation too as comparison). Could be wrong tho since im just theorizing too lol

We know marth can talk but he didn’t even utter a single word, to me marth must have gotten a glimpse of the infection and is now completely serious and silent because of the fact that in his perspective, that could’ve been him at any time. Marth might know what the virus motivation was and that it shook him to his core. As for mega man he has a question mark because of what pit thinks

The question Mark probably indicates their unknown status, not their knowledge. The only other time the question mark appeared was on Mewtwo after he got stabbed. First it was normal, then it appeared as dead (important for the second reason, since the cross is placed the face and is different for each character) then it was as if he got infected and then turn into a normal question mark like on Marth. And in Confuser it got showed us that that question mark confirmed that he got infected (and not shown that he died).
I think that Megaman being "infected" and with the question mark is just to throw us off since its just a cable coming from his eye socket and not a tentacle and Palutena stated that he cant be infected + his lore of being fully a robot. But how would we explain the ? on Marth? They dont even know the character selection screen and is only for us, the people watching to confirm their status.
I could also disprove the point of Marth hiding something. In Ness his Day 7 Notes Sheik wanted to leave since "*she* has been worried about something". Also the description of Confuser states:

this should be information from Day 9 of the infection. Villager doesnt know probably since hes from a peaceful/pacifist world, AND or Marth not knowing that he's still infected. Also it was stated in Chapter 5 that "He doesnt know hes lying"
so if we take that information from my post and this into consideration i think that its enough to confirm that hes still infected and that it only slowed down the infection imo. These are just further points to prove it (even though the second thing with the lie and Marth hiding stuff is just speculation on my part tbf)
@ hmm yeah you make a good point. Zelda and sheik in the smash verse are two different characters but it leads me to believe that sheik probably experienced this and that would explain why she didn’t go to hyrule to get ganon. But that leaves the question for other fighters such as samus, robin, corrin, pyra/mythra, byleth, and alph. Technically all of them are separate characters so what would happen if suit samus gets infected? Would it affect dark samus and zero suit? What about any of the links?

The thing is, I saw a Question mark on both Marth and Megaman, it's barely visible, but it is there. I think this might be a hint at Megaman not being immune to the virus. I don't know for sure, but me and my friends are sure trying to figure it out.
Something to add to the whole cutting off a limb only slows down the walking dead virus, it actually stops the spread, but lees hand was cut off too slow you have to be instant with the amputation
I looked at Marth’s icon again to check for the purplish tint described in the video, and though it was very subtle, the tint was there. This in my mind could mean one of two things. The first is that he is indeed slowly being infected, although it is taking a heck of a long time because the source of his infection was amputated by The Villager. The second is that he is slowly losing his sanity, as Marth seemingly has not shaved at all in the ten days since the attack, and always looks depressed. No matter what the case actually is though, I can say whatever is going on probably is not good news.
(I checked the other icons as well for anything that might have been missed in the video, and while there almost wasn’t anything new that popped out to me, I can confirm for sure that unfortunately ROB was destroyed for good, as his icon had the X on it that indicates a character is deceased.)
One cool theory i heard is Marth is fine but his arm is still infected, a threat, and will try to 'complete' itself
@ If that is the case, I wonder if taking off the entire arm would fix the issue. If not, I am terrified to see what might eventually happen to Marth. Mewtwo fusing with Pichu after being infected was nightmare fuel. Imagine what might occur if it turns out Marth has to basically watch himself get infected with no way to stop it from the arm all the way to the rest of his body.

@ Even if only the amputated hand is infected, it could definitely cause problems in the future. It takes just one sting on any part of the body to slowly get infected. All Marth’s hand needs to do to be a threat is to sting someone powerful like Sonic or Cloud on the foot or lower leg a few times, and it is seriously game over for a lot of characters.
I seriously want a scene near the end of the series where King Dedede saves Kirby from the infection, as it would sort of be poetic as Kirby usually saves Dedede from brainwashing.

Notice how the series is called a world in dark and the main cause of the infection is tentacles. My theory is that after the characters defeated galeem and darkon, darkon quickly jabbed Kirby with one of his tentacles starting the virus.

One theory I have is that the start of the virus is not from any of the characters in smash but rather just a virus/parasite that was hiding in a plant or food in the smash world until Kirby ended finding and devouring it which than led to the infection of all worlds. there is also that fact that non smash characters can't be infected by the virus so it could mean characters from different worlds can band together to make a cure and destroy the infection army once and for all.

This was a really great video! I do want to correct the Walking Dead Telltale thing though. The only reason Lee still got infected is because he cut his arm off too late that the virus had already spread past the area he cut. Aj in Season 4 did the same to Clem, but her bite was farther down her leg than Lee's bite was down his arm, and AJ cut her leg off at the knee, allowing her to live.
The reason why marth is infected is because they didnt completely chop his whole arm off. In telltale's twd season 2 there's a character named reggie who got bit before the game take place but he survived because they removed his entire arm and not a half or a quarter of it

He would have reason to cause a virus, considering he was manipulating Master Hand and the Subspace army, and he was also absorbing power from other worlds. He could use this virus as a means for both since he's not the type of character to actively use his power to overwhelm or overpower. I mean, Sonic alone busted his wings despite Tabuu being the strongest he could be with the completion of the Great Maze.
If he is ruled out, then I'm not too sure who in the roster could be at fault.

I mean think about it, in brawl tabuu almost was successful on taking every fighter (minus sonic of course) but failed. Secondly is his name, Tabuu stands for corruption or forbidden so the virus is pretty much corruption and the blood and instant death is against the smash bros rules hence forth forbidden in the smash universe.

My prime suspect is darkhon, and the reason was from playing world of light. You see darkhon appearing, and he had those same tentacles by his eye.
For me, it has to be one of the main villains from smash like crazy hand and master hand, because think about it how are the other villains from different series like dr.eggman going to enter smash

1: I personally suspect that palutena may be patient zero of the infection.
2: I dont think its an actual virus but more of a parasite that would grow from the spreading of a bacteria for now(said bacteria would not need its host to be alive to grow, just to have access to nutrient).
3: I think the author will make dark samus immune to the infection if its a parasite because it would be a weird concept otherwise, dark samus being himself originaly a parasite, we would talk about a parasite infected by another parasite...
4: I think that the possible immunity of robotic being to the virus will be revoked in the next chapter, this would explain why pichu and olimars were still moving and it would make sense since we talk about a potential parasite and in the previous chapter we clearly saw that mario did not do any maintenance on rob since he was in pretty bad shape so we can deduce that he only assumed that robotic was immune.

My speculation on who set the infection Off was one of the pokemon, when pokemon trainer and metwo came into picture there was a text saying "it was all your fault, he will catch you all", which i suspect To refer To the pokemon and pkmn trainer, and with how the pikmin from olimar and cappy from mario are aparentally considered separate beings (that they can get infected) summons (at the least from characters) can be infected and/or separated from the main fighter, which could also hint at a fact that assist trophy and poke/master ball (or ultra Ball, i don't Remember which was in smash) could also be a prime suspect or get infected

So, without getting into powerscaling, Snonic, Metal Virus Whatever, Dark Samus is stated to be a being made of Phason (Phazon? Phaeson? Jason? Idk) so She might be inmune since, well, how could you infect a Being made of energy? (If you don't know, Phason is the The Energy that Samus shoots in her Final Smash).
Also Aegis is stated to be an "Artificial Lifeform" (At least that's what it says in the wiki, I know Nothing abt Xenoblade Lore) made by "The Architect" (Don't know who that guy is) so maybe She is inmune even though "Artificial Lifeform" is not the same as "Robot".
I have a theory that master hand might have been the one to start in the first place.

Quick theory: Mii Swordfighter can be a serious issue IF the Miis are still able to change their appearance. If Mii Swordfighter is infected and has the ability to change their appearance, it could very well be Ggs for the Smash cast. Someone correct me if I’m wrong or something counters my point
They probably can’t change their appearance since you can’t switch the Mii being used, but there could be a possibility of them being able to use costumes? Probably not, though.

And you can also see mewtwo’s left eye if you zoom in when he is looking at the group his eye also catches them this means that mewtwo has some control over his body before he got infected infected
