It’s chicken!! 60 bucks for chicken?? And that didn’t include sides. It was literally just chicken! No way
Fried Chicken is one of cheapest food to make and anyone can eat almost 2 lbs. by themselves. If you are going to make fried chicken at home, soak overnight in buttermilk with some seasoning on it. Seasoned flour and double fry. Here in Houston, prices remain very stable, a pound of chicken drumsticks is 99 cents.
You can find 'maangchi' on youtube. She has specific instructions if you need them. Also double fry just means double fry, you fry the chicken once, scoop it out, and then fry it again!
Washing Chicken using water is contrary to health and safety guidelines. The water can spread bacteria and contaminate surfaces. The cooking process eliminates any bacteria which may be present. If the raw Chicken has moisture that you want to remove, you can pat dry it with paper towels before cooking.
