Lobo Said it best. He maybe a boy scout, But he is the toughest boy scout in the galaxy.......
Love the idea that Martin Manhunter was on earth for 20 years to learn how people will react to aliens
That definitely fits for Snyder's Manhunter on why he didn't help superman against Zod & doomsday
Mm woukd have gotten destroyed by Doomsday. He did on comics multiple times and in animation.
This is Superman. Optimistic, kind and gives people hope. And we need hope right now
Its better than man of steel "superman"
Amen. Went through a phase of thinking "the big blue boyscout" was boring as a character when I was a teenager. But as you get older, you learn to appreciate a nice symbol of hope, kindness, and selflessness that people can aspire to. We could definitely use more of that right now.
Happy to have a Superman who's just a good dude again after so many depictions of him the past few years try to go edgy or darker.
@@A-Oh-Trey Superman is the ultimate hero.
This is how Superman should be. Full of hope and optimism. How hard is it to make a live action movie like this?
And I love the idea of Darren Criss as Superman. He could make a great live action Clarke as well.
Ugh I know right... every movie maker in dceu nowadays wanna make their characters look 'cool' and 'edgy'. They forget the core of the chracters themselves and it feels like watching a cheap knock off.
It was easy in 1978.
David corensweat is the new superman.
Superman: **reads newspaper**
Flying man: Hero or menace.
Spiderman: “First time?”
I've always like the idea of a cross over like that. Peter goes to Metropolis through the Bugle and meets Clark.

Chris Burney whew saved your butt didn’t I? You’re welcome!
😂😂👏🏾
I hear a lot of people compare it to Archer (which itself is based on golden age comic books, if I'm right), but I also see a bit of The Batman (2004) in the style.
I love it. It really does feel like a fresh start after Apokolyps. It's very idealistic, at least I get that from the trailer. I can tell it's them going back to the roots while, as they say themselves, keeping it relevant for a new audience.
And this is coming from someone who's not too big on DC or Marvel.
Atleast they dint make superman edgy
Honestly, I hope with the song at the end, they release a full soundtrack.

How comes that animated movies about Superman seem to give us such better content than the live action stuff??? A Superman that is modern yet brings hope, fun and joy. Can't wait to see it!
Because big hollywood productions are afraid to take risks so all the good comic book writers are relegated to the animated films.
jacob lopez that’s because Snyder is a fucking idiot who doesn’t understand anything about comics
Superman. The most powerful hero of all time.
Powerful? No Most heroic? Now I got a case
Hell yea he is
The animation looks really unique. It kinda reminds me of Archer, but maybe more refined.
Did I hear xenophobia
40k space marines: did you assume we’re afraid of Xenos
I really like this version of Superman!
Superman: "I knew you would. Hey, Peter! I hope you don't mind that I copied some of your homework."
Spiderman: "... Clark, what did you do?"
Superman: "You're supposed to say 'sure, as long as you changed it up a bit'."
Spiderman: "Clark ... What. Did. You. Do?"
Superman: "I made *ahem* a movie."
Spiderman: "You're always making movies."
Superman: "Yeah, but in this particular movie, I'm relatable. Like, REALLY relatable. I'm not just some morally infallible alien with a comically uncoordinated, slouching secret identity. I'm a morally infallible, adorkable guy stumbling through life, trying to figure out who he is and what to do with himself. I mean, aren't we all? I made this makeshift super suit while brainstorming for a cooler one, like you. I even sound less like a national anthem and more like, well, you. You could say I'm The Spectacular Superman!"
Spiderman: "I think I'm gonna throw up!"
Superman: "There, there, buddy."
Spiderman: "DON'T TOUCH ME! I saw the sneak peak! You even SOUND a bit like Josh Keaton!"
Superman: "Only a little bit, heh heh."
Spiderman: "I'm not really sure what to say about this."
Superman: "'Mr Stark, I don't feel so good'?"
Spiderman: "..."
Read Superman Rebirth.
Superman being relatable doesn't have anything to do with Spiderman
@@theomega7699 Don't get me wrong. I generally like Superman as it is. However, this version of Superman feels a lot more human in a very Peter Parker way. Oh, and this is the first time I've seen him trying to design his own costume and starting with something makeshift. Brings to mind Spiderman.
@@mayotango1317 Thanks!
@@MisterEvvvSymphoenix Ehh, is more a kin to what he does in American Alien (and the older Man of Tomorrow) even his old costume was made by himself (then New52 came and his suit become a biotechnology armor made for soldiers)
I really hope this is the Superman that will be used for future Justice League stories. I love the animation and designs. Cannot wait to see what they have done for the other heroes.
i love love love the animation and the new story its fresh and i love it 😍
Seems like something i’ll end up watching.
I'm a fanboy of Superman. Because he's my favorite character. Don't let the magic about Superman fade away from people's mind and heart.
Superman being relatable: At his core he is an immigrant to America who just wants to help
Sorry for nit'picking, ..
Immigrant : normally just moving from one country to another.
Refuge: your own national government is trying to kill you, suppress your beliefs, or you home is destroyed by war or natural disaster ( your planet blow up.)
Adopted Foundling: Raised as an infant in a give society not of their national ethic birth. Only knowing the culture they were raised with and not the culture of their natural birth parents.
Kara Zor El/ Supergirl is a refuge.
Superman is Clark Kent mid west American farm boy first, he is Kal El second.
I LOVE THE HUMAN APPROACH. i CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THIS.
It makes sense that Syler from Heroes is Lex Luther. I approve
being a superman fan for almost my whole life you did justice trust me i love this trailer
Basically the silver age super. Dope!
The song at the end is *so* good. I hope there’s going to be a way to listen to the soundtrack
THIS is how the directors and whole cast should be , THIS is how you make a superman movie. ( looking at you Snyder)
The greatest of all heros. I love him so much.
It maybe just me, but i am digging his Pre-costume Aviator look.
Love this already Really Love they Got Alexandra Daddario to play Lois watching Clark now though I feel like calling Him Superboy in this by how young he looks but whatever still awesome Superman man of tomorrow can't wait.
There's so many stories you could touch on Superman from the comics. He's in one of the Earth's and has Children with Lois also Wonder Woman interesting concept to see written.
Now if we can get the live action movies to do the same. They may actually redeem Superman again.
or u could stfu and be happy with what u got. So ungrateful
Excited to see where their taking him and really really digging this animation style.
I'm not normally a Superman fan, but I actually want to see this movie. It looks good. Looks like a Superman movie I can actually enjoy.
Also, love how he sees a picture of an early Batman and just thinks his cape looks cool as a hero. Also, like how the picture of the Batman reminds me of people capturing photos of UFOs and big foot, like this is the really early Batman that not everyone believes is real, or is only a myth.
Another thing I like is the use of Lobo. You never see him much in anything Superman or Justice League related these days, and I haven't really seen him much since the Bruce Timm universe.
Lobo was always a fun character, and I think they hold off on using him due to him not exactly being a child friendly character, but he's the edge that DC is missing often.
Marvel has Wolverine to go to for their gruff, adult themed fun character and could go to him often, but DC never uses what they have, especially in their animated universe.
Sure, Darkseid is pure evil and kills people, but he's always used intelligently and is more a dictator type, so he's probably more PG than Lobo is despite the murder.
Batman has the Joker who is homocidal and creates chaos and is fun to watch, but they can excuse him as insane.
Lobo on the other hand will say and do things for the hell of it and make it look amusing, which is why I think they are afraid of him as a movie or cartoon villain.
They are afraid of uptight people complaining since they can't excuse it away.
We could use more Lobo.
I'm actually excited to see this movie now.
Damn i'm pumped for this!
i really hope that they eventually do the same thing with Iron Man, but go back to the original starting point of Tony's journey by setting it during the Vietnam Era. also they have to put in the part where Tony writes "WHY" in the dirt with his repulsor
This will be on MeTV in forty years!
Lobo isn't ready
That is how Man of Steel should have been like.
This sht will be awesome
Hope they do the same animation style in Batman :-)
looks so nice
They really need DC animation to take over the live action. They are soooo much better at storytelling.
HAHAHAHA. that's the funniest joke i've ever heard. Thx for making my day LMFAO
@@spencerthomas7304 You mean you like the DC movies?... Really?
I would like there to be references to the previous DC animated universe as happened with Flashpoint and Flash recalling the previous universe to Post Flashpoint
So Flash created this reality now? I would love to see Flash with his memories of different realities.
I don't know how the Flash's brain works, but every time he is in the Speed Force he can see multiple time line at once. Must be great cable tv channel surfing.
Funny how an animated movie has more depth pour into a character, that no live action movie has ever achieved since the days of 70's Superman. And then some ppl sees this type of films as childish
We need hope ALWAYS, justice and peace . Love what Superman brings and stands for. Beacon of positivity and pure HOPE

Add a nice theme and that scene might be the best in the movie...

Is this movie part of new dcau franchise
Not a part of new DCAMU it is standalone

This not a new DCAMU if younot belive me go and check the google they first say this is a new DCAMU but later they say it was wrong
i wish he didnt wear his underwear outside again
That is Superman, no the asshole new 52.
@@mayotango1317 they can get rid of the trunk, that won't change his ersonality
I'm glad their back, it helps break up the blue in the costume which I thought was a problem. Besides, I doubt his villains will have the time to mock his red trunks before they find themselves out cold. Superman is an awesome character because of who he is, not because of his costume so who cares if he is wearing red trunks? He's also wearing blue spandex with a red cape which should also look ridiculous in real life, red trunks don't make that big of a difference.
Watch the film Glass, it explains the outside underwear. See, the circus strongmen who lifted heavy weights were among the first inspiration for superhumans. They only wore underwear with boots as to show off their muscular figure. But Superheroes can't be half naked so on top of their pants they wear Spandex and boots to resemble what the strongmen wore and symbolise themselves as greater beings. I think so.
@@jonarbuckle778 in modern incarnations his suit was either kryptonian attire or armor. You csn explain it off as alien, you cant explain why aliens or humans would wear underwear on the outside
Sylar is lex luthor
Xenophobia is either based on ignorance, or observable reality.
seem OK, but hate underwear that on the out side
Thank God this is not Bruce Timm shit

I think August 23rd

How is it that DC (WB) can get the animated movies so right and make such shit live action movies. Can you imagine Alexandra being WW live action. Body, check, eyes, CHECK, height, she's 5'8", put her in a heel, dye her hair a shade darker. WW was a good movie, but that was Patty, not Gal. Also, it seems that this director is a fan of Superman. The moment WB found out that Zach and the Snack Pack wasn't a fan of Superman, he should have been fired. He was too busy sucking on Chris Nolan's "brilliance" to realize one basic thing: Superman isn't gritty. He's Hope. Superman would've gone to see Jor-El, not some rando preacher. He would've thrown his ship at the Kryptonians, not endangered human lives. Lex Luthor isn't neurotic, he's a psychopath. Once Superman realized Batman was playing for keeps, the fight would've been over. Lastly, Flash isn't scrawny. Ezra Miller is scrawny. Flash should be recast.
😂😂😂😂😃🤣
Hey if Disney doesn't own it I'm definitely going to watch it.
Sorry I'm bitter with Disney they killed Star wars. And sadly Marvel.
Why you think Disney is own it?
@@catsalary1206 well and it is a monopoly and they tend to to own all types of film companies.
I certainly hope they don't

“New look” It’s the same look. Y’all won’t let him have a new look. At least not for long. Y’all haven’t done him justice in decades.
If they want to do superman justice have him not wear underwear on the outside. Its not a good costume look
CRISIS: ULTIMATE CUT fuck you
I'm not too big a fan of the animation style. Something seems off.
I hope they loose the red panties. That is so outdated...
They classic. It is that kind if thinking that resulted in the new 52
Superman in the buff. Lol
Please don't tone it down to pg 13 like super kid friendly is what I feel here
Superman is idealistic and should be all ages otherwise there’s no point in a Superman movie.
@@DanV900 Superman as a PG 13 sucks cause he's always be a one dimensional character and everything will be solve unrealistically.
Have you seen death of superman you can do alot with a PG13 the problem is most people don't have the balls to use it properly
Joedie Melchor So you’ve never actually read a Superman comic then and know nothing about the character? There are a ton of stories where he isn’t one dimensional and the people who say that aren’t actually Superman fans. I’ll just give you one to read which is Action Comics #775. Then get back to me if you have the guts to do it. This year, Superman Smashes the Klan came out by the way. You must not have watched Smallville or the animated series either with a huge lack of knowledge.
@@DanV900 While I have not read the comic you have referenced, I have seen the animated adaption and it is probably one of my favourite animated superhero films to date. Now that I think about it, I need to go watch it again.
