- The weather has allowed us to get back to putting up alfalfa. I got the rake hooked up to the 7520, greased it, and then started flipping the windrows. Dad then started baling and at the end we had 110 bales off of about 50 acres.
Thanks for watching!
Your welcome young man, Thank you for sharing. Wished we could have had some of those 18 second fields, would've made fo a shorter day. Y'all have a good day.
Lol can you set the the pusher arm on the bailer? That thing is kickin like a young mule! If you weren’t on flat ground some of those bales would be in north Texas by now 🤣
Another great vid! Thx!!!
Great vid, look forward to every time you upload, god bless
I’m in school now but I watch this all summer rewatching them is making me sad
Must be really hot and dry on Sonne farm, Lake Sonne is dry...
I’m an over the road truck driver ... been at it 5 years. I’d much rather own some land and be doing what you do! Love the videos man! Thanks for sharing
Hmm, Where the 3 pt spear? Could grab two while grouping them up.
Cool video and nice scenery.
It's a busy time of the year for you...
Nice video 👍👍
Great video of the Raking and Baling of Alfalfa process. You always get great drone footage which really adds to your videos.
Thanks!
Picks up the rock..."you're welcome dad" maybe he'll be proud for that one, lol.
Really enjoyed that. Always wanted to see alfalfa hay being put up we don’t have any in central Georgia.
Lmbo about the rock why are son's such a smart ass lol I caught the shaking on the tractor like a rock getting pulled in to a bailer funny I guess it must be in the Jean's it is on my side lol
Like the video so much I watch all of your hay making videos.
Yes... I'm watching old videos''''geez, get off my back ! nice tight bales they're dialed mon
Nice vid!
Your raker is pretty new buddy....keep it clean and lubricate for long term usage....I saw baling machine caught on fire...bearings were dried, siezed, over heated, started burn the hail then burn the bailing machine belting....wooh the farmer manage to put out the fire quickly it safe his bailing machine w minimum damage.
Keep a book on each machine what need to be be done, what have done, vibration, tightness, locktight glue are the most common things to carry along. Chain tensions and adjustment...wash re paint...so we can pay back bank loan asap....keep maintaining, less breakdown so less money spend. Sorry If I over loaded you...I used to take care 200 electric lift truck under me so I am very pro maintenance guy😁😁😁😁
I would make tool box for each of your equipments then store the tools in the box, plus bolts and nuts, lock screws, tiny grease hand pump, hand squeeze oiler can, light bults, touch light, air spray hose with long nose gun, every day after finished operation, just use the hose to dust off and clean it. You got to have PPE to do too.🤣🤣🤣🤣.....tool and parts box will drill on equipment use leather or rags to minimise knocking sound. Order in wheel bearing new one in advance so when wheel bearing sound abnormal...change it on the spot...I feel sad to see radiator fins are choke with hail and dirt then temp went up for nothing, over heated before....then oil seal will started to weaken...oil leak come.....for nothing engine fail so early.....am I right....? You have no time for girl friend already...😁😁😁
We had a bad problem with pink eye with some Angora gots ones pact thim twice a day for 2 weeks was not getting any were finally my dad call a kinfolk that was in the bisnis since he was abill to walk he just lafed and sead just spray your pins down with Malathion cose its in the dust. There eyes cleared up in less than a week. O did I Minchin that there were over a 1000 mutton gots at 65 pounds or more, glad I had steel toed boots for those 2 weeks LOL.
We just cut grass hay for the first time this year over this past weekend. Have you ever seen a Kuhn Haybob 300 or 360? They look pretty slick! Cheers bud.
the frist video of your I've watched and I like what I see :) may I suggest looking into a "Dead cat" for your mic ( its a "fuzzy"to cover the mic reducing wind noise ) . I'll probably binge watch some of your stuff and if I like it I'll sub :)
Those things you called them mean funand relaxation even if your chasing cattle.
Very nice videos. Always look forward to a new upload. Is the wrapping you use for the bales eatable for the cows or do you need to remove it before grinding the bales?
Is the bailer automatic when It gets full or you manually do it?
Manual
Thanks for great video. We are about half way through harvest and had new 12 row maize header delivered today. Dad took on extra 500 acres maize so he soften the blow with new toy! Hay wise were doing OK but down on last year.
I really like that Dobro music toward the last. Nice!
Its great Cole you take us through your farming year and show us as it happens. Great video
Another good video. Rake and roll. Winter coming. Thanks
Great video can we have a look at the place you burnt down the barn just to see what it's like now when you are going by the field .
Theres a field of alfalfa that never got cut by my work all summer. Northeast part of the state
Love ur videos and the way u farm ... it’s so different from where I am
Hey that's a great video, makes me wish I was out there with ya'll lol I really miss putting up hay. You guys are sure blessed.
That tractor still around, what450 ih?
Cool drone footage tell your dad hi and yal keep up good team work and be safe
Good video
Put a clipboard up where you keep your grease gun and grease. When you put the grease gun back write down what you greased. The grease gun lives some where, give it a friend-clip board, paper and pen. :)
Good idea!
Hey!!!
Hi Cole,
Very interesting video again.
Wouldn’t be more handy for you to bail square bales instead of round for handling purpose?
Do you grow any winter or spring barley or oats to feed your black angus?
Thanks.
Regards from Paris, France.
We really like our big round bales and we are set up well to handle them. We have used oats for silage but we dont grow any barley.
That is a awesome rake. TY for sharing
What is the history of your farm. New subscriber, really love your videos.
Good question, maybe I should make a video about that
Your welcome DAD!! Lol 👍👍
18 seconds. Impressive!
Doesn't leaving them uncovered lose quality and dont they rot leaving them out like that?
They sure do, but we try to get them fed within a year
Your dad looked like he was going pretty fast with the baler. What speed was he going?
We were going 8 mph, some of our neighbors go faster yet. It depends a lot on field and hay conditions
Great video. Any idea on the average one of those bails weigh? Just curious.
About 1400lbs
Enjoy all the videos. Seems like you guys bail a lot of hay, do you go through it all? Do the bails go bad if they sit for too long out in the elements?
Its been a wet year so we have a few extra and have been selling some. But most years we keep them all for feed.
hey Cole, where do you find the time to respond to all these comments? do you guys ever sleep?
I find a few minutes here and there
Which country is this?
United States
I like your videos!! Keep them coming.
Thank you!
How ironic it's 72 degrees in South Dakota and it's 110 including heat index in Alabama
Love the videos and God bless
Thats toasty!
Psh only 110
Another great informative video thanks for the drone footage looks awesome 👏
Thanks!
Great video , keep it up!
Another great video!
You should put a 180' backup cam on your tractor, saves your back. ☺ 🇺🇸
That would be nice!
Don't even need to go tech, a simple school-bus passenger mirror (long and wide) would solve that problem.
Well had something clever to say but my the angel side won out this time just lol and will say nice video hope get the other before frost set in.
well now i'm curious
@@SonneFarms like someone told me I will tell you one.
Are you going to Dakota fest?
Yea i'll be there Wednesday
Do u guys run all ivt transmissions
We actually dont have any tractors with the a ivt transmissions
9:26 my god thats a nice bale
It sure is!
Ever gonna move up to a 8r?
Plan on it, but not in the near future. We would like an 8R that has duals in the front to help with planting/tillage/grain cart operating
🇺🇸👍🏻🐝
How long are them bales good for feed
Years
@@SonneFarms As long you keep it dry. 😎
If you guys arelooking for someone to do some archery deer hunting this fall I’m only one comment away😂
Nice hair ! fairly much how our prime minister got voted in, with all the flakes in Canada now we all pay the price not saying that you shouldn't be our Prime minister
