The fireplace scene was so necessary where she explains everything to Cole, from her feelings with her sister to the meaning of the teapot. They flirted, they connected. She does NOT have these conversations with Alex, neither before nor after they date. Her scene with Alex is really beautiful, he brilliantly showed her her feelings. And at the same time Cole also wanted to show how special she was in his life. But he saw Jackie with Alex and everything went wrong. And in the 6th episode you could see that Alex wanted to provoke Cole with Jackie, kissing her in front of him and he knows that Cole also liked Jackie from the beginning and they ended up fighting. The tension between Jackie and Cole in the bathroom scene, the looks, it's wonderful. Until the moment of this ep, Cole's only mistake was staying with Olivia and leaving Erin in a boring situation. Remembering that Erin and Cole have an open relationship and she knows that Cole and Jackie flirt.
this is when Alex REALLY started to rub me the wrong way. Him basically using Jackie as a victory over Cole was so icky to me

Fun fact: The scene where Alex shows her the sunset and the loft scene were originally what Cole did in the books

The fact that Erin’s dad passed away, but then in the first episode she made that “Orphan Annie” comment towards Jackie was so uncalled for. Like miss girl knows what it’s like to lose someone, however it’s not a competition as to how have many loved ones either one of them has lost. Also, Cole’s “high and mighty” comment towards Jackie was messed up. Yes Jackie does act like way towards him but you can’t blame him because he leads her on and Erin on, hooks up with so many girls, but also the way he justifies his actions because of his injury isn’t cool. Being injured on accident doesn’t give him an excuse to hurt those around him.
I think it was Paige who made the orphan Annie comment 🤔

I've been team cole from the start but i do agree that alex was sweet at first and what he did for jackie with the whole sunset thing was really sweet but after him and jackie got together it gave me more reasons to be team cole bc although alex had true feelings for jackie he was still making it so obvious that he wanted to piss cole off just by how he was acting with the pda bc it was so extra and all the snappy comments he makes at cole just to show that he got the girl first and wanted to make paige jealous which is why jackie was questioning if alex was just using her as revenge which is so wrong bc a girl should not have to be stressing and overthinking your feelings for her.

The Cole effect is real lol. I kind of wanted the “good” guy to get the girl for once but then Cole won me over. I feel like they’re more connected. And Alex’s grand gesture was beautiful but I think fixing the teapot is better because it took Cole time and effort to do that for her. Or maybe I’m biased lol.
I know that people are upset with Cole trying to take his brothers gf again but like he liked Jackie before she started dating Alex so I am not that mad ab it. I also loved Alex until he started dating Jackie.. he gave me what people call the ick lol..

Yeah, like they’re both toxic but Cole was always starting stuff with Alex, especially knowing that he’s not very hot on his list. And with the whole Paige situation, they don’t need to be fighting and all.

Idk, they both rubbed me the wrong way a bit. I love Alex, but I love beginning Alex, he ended up trying to use Jackie, and stuff about Cole just makes me mad. So idkkkk
Tbh Alex gave me the ick even from the previous episodes, there was just something off with him idk 😅 i was always team Cole. And this is coming from someone who has not read the books and purely based on the series.
Alex is being too insecure and maybe he has good reason but it’s still not a good look
