I definitely agree, Verity was evil and although her letter made sense it was just so well thought out that it couldn’t have been true. She was 100% covering her tracks
Honestly I think it didn’t make sense. There would’ve been evidence she was tied down in the crash. How would Jeremy just walk away from that too, even if he was wearing a seatbelt. And she wrote the letter while they were together in the bedroom. She knew lowen read the manuscript and was trying to cover it up. If she really was saving money and trying to leave I feel like she would’ve written it was sooner.
@tat i mean if your own lover/husband is falling in love with someone else while you took vows with you then obviously you won't sit in peace and let it be
Also, has anyone noticed that it's probably Harper stuck in the fishing net in the lake on the cover(Verity)???!!! That kind of creeped me out even more!
I never noticed it was a fishing net! I thought it was just a pretty design to distort the child to represent the child being dead. I am disturbed now 😳😳😳😳😳
I really think that Verity's letter was not real cuz at the begging it said that her office was soundproof but according to her letter when Jeremy found the manuscript he made a sound, she described the sound worse then either of the days they found out the girls had died. She described the sound so well even though she was upstairs in the bedroom while her office was downstairs but the letter also said that after she rushed down stairs she also heard jeremy throwing the manuscript on the wall..but the thing is that the door was closed. She said she swung OPEN the door AFTER she heard him throwing the manuscript. Idk thats honestly what i think.
It is currently four in the morning and I have just finished Verity. I started it this evening and physically could not put it down. The moment I closed the book I raced to every online forum I could looking for Colleen’s opinion. And I am so team manuscript. Verity was evil 😈
Yes I knew it. Also i know she explained the part in her letter when the canoe was about to tip over but when something like that happens it happens so quickly you have almost no time to say anything at all. And if she did have that time why did she only direct her attention to Crew?? Also, as a mom, wouldn’t it make more sense to try and rescue both kids at the same time… like how can you just leave your other kid there? I think she just didn’t think she had any options left and that letter was going to make her seem so innocent to Jeremy, she probably thought it would bring him back to her.
@@maimaixvc i just read Ugly Love too! i recently bought It Ends with Us and All Your Perfects so maybe those? i haven't read them yet but i imagine they have happy endings
team letter but my opinion could be swayed (i just finished reading it a few min ago). Jeremy seems manipulative and too charming to be the innocent and chivalrous man everyone is claiming that he is (regardless of either the manuscript or letter). I believe he lured Lowen into his home and made her his “new” Verity… i mean he did say they had similar writing styles. He just seems too suspicious for me to believe
I do agree with him sorta making her a new verity. There was also a parallel between his relationship w verity and lowen’s relationship with Corey. They fell for each other from words too. It’s a lot to say there like the similarities but idk how to articulate them.
Oh yea Personally I don’t think Jeremy is crazy or anything. I just think he he is a mourning dad that genuinely was and if he took the manuscript as truth I think w his dedication to his kids as we see in the letter and manuscript I’m not shocked he’d think do this, but more so that he did. He only really got angry about his kids.
same i agree as well, also lowen said herself after she handed the manuscript to jeremy that he finished within minutes. which definitley would not have been feasible. I LOVE THIS BOOK
I think it was real because remember when the husband called her parents to tell them about her accident & they pretty much said she’s evil so it’s like karma (not exactly what he said but paraphrasing)
Guys the manuscript is real, when Harper ran upstairs crying it was because her mother was questioning her about her sister’s death not because she was “told no to swimming” remember she doesn’t show emotion…
@@justarandomswiftie6468 but in the letter she referenced that Harper was crying because she told her that she couldn't go swimming or something. Also Jeremy saw her crying so she had to explain it some how in the letter. so shes lying somewhere and im betting its the manuscript
I’m totally team manuscript! I think the reason Jeremy hid the fact that he had already read the manuscript was out of fear that verity’s accident would be somehow linked to him. He probably feared she had set a trap up for him, and that’s why he kept taking care of her, and why he also was a hesitant with Lowen at first. I think he was confused and in denial about verity’s evilness, and that’s why he didn’t want to believe that she was faking it
I think despite everything he thought she had done he somehow felt bad for trying to kill the mother of his only and left son. Or maybe he was taking care of her hoping that one day she would recover and he would call the police. It could be anything ahah this book is way too good and genious!
I thought it would've been a better ending if it turned out that Loewen was writing the manuscript all along and that the details she knew about the relationship were because she asked Jeremy beforehand not afterwards. She knew that Verity was awake and wanted a safety plan to get rid of her for good and secure Jeremy to her. I thought that was the case after it said in the book that he just "skimmed the manuscript" and therefore didnt notice that not everything was fitting perfectly 100%. Too be honest, I was kinda disappointed by the real ending, especially because if we believe the letter then nobody was "the bad guy" which is boring and if we believe the letter is fake than the person we thought all along was the bad guy..was the bad guy, which is also boring.
What if Lowen wrote the manuscript AND the letter? The entire book is from her POV. She could have been hired as a ghost writer, fell in love with Jeremy, and wrote the manuscript and letter to cover up the murder of Verity. Then this entire novel would be written to paint her in the best light possible.
@@elaineyingling4421 but why fake the letter that tries to paint Verity as innocent if the whole point of faking the manuscript was to get rid of her? I do admit that when I thought of this theory the letter wasn't introduced yet in the book, so you would have to get rid of that plot point for this ending to work out.. but imo it still would be better haha
well verity said in the letter that she wanted to destroy the manuscript, but she also said she couldn‘t find it, right? And Lowen found it very quick. Doesnt that mean Jeremy had the Manuscript and put in the office because he 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗱 Lowen to see it?
This something that bothering me. 1. I quite sus with Jeremy while reading verity letter (assuming she is innocent) I thought it's his plan so lowen will find and read the manuscript. Is just doesn't make any sense. When verity looking for the manuscript all over the office but couldn't find it. Even though she has that memory loss or something. Its her office her habitat its Impossible she couldn't find it. And also after lowen handed the manuscript to him. Why the hell took him so long to read if she's already knew what is it about he could just skimmed. Is he pretend to read it? (Or he is actually reading it for the very first time) Or it is just prove that verity letter is all a lie that she wrote after find out Jeremy feel in love with lowen. 2. Why crew cut himself where he get the knife? 3. Where is her daughter got the scars from. except for the attempted abortion that Verity had. This book though got thingking which is true and not. Who's evil and not?😢
Totally agree that she was evil! “God punishes the wicked” As her father stated to Jeremy in the book. I beileve she was evil all along, even as a child. Was gripped the whole way through 10/10
Does anyone think it was very coincidental that Jeremy happened to be Lowen’s saviour and knight in shining armour after she had just been feet away from a man who had just had his head crushed by a vehicle? He sought Lowen out because of her similar writing style to Verity’s, and he happened to be with her when that accident happened, and provided her with his shirt off his back, inside that Cafe’s bathroom. Was he stalking her or what?
I just finished reading verity today and I've been so torn about what was real but then again there were topics that weren't covered in the letter e.g Chastin's scar, she actually did have a scar and verity talked about about almost every event that she wrote in the manuscript that made her seem evil in letter except that. Jeremy also had a very true reaction to the manuscript, if he did know about it before than I don't think he would've gotten that mad and even if some people think he's pretending, he didn't know Lowen had set up the monitor. In the book, it never said that Jeremy actually knew Lowen set up the monitor so if he didn't know it was there then I don't think he would've reacted so hysterically But that's just what I think🤷🏾♀️
@@adwika_7 atp I don't know anymore, after the bonus chapter, it really revealed a different side to Jeremy that I never knew existed So imma just go with everyone except the children were insane 🤷🏾♀️
The scar I think it can be explained. There's a part in the manuscript where she says that the doctor said it could have been a scratch caused by the twin inside the uterus, so maybe that was the truth, since she had to distorce the reality in the manuscript in order to get into the villain's mind. I think Jeremy reading the manuscript for the 2nd time (actually he just read Harper's part in the 2nd time according to Lowen's description), I think it just made him feel more rage against her and think that she didn't deserve that he was still taking care of her. I think he had been taking care of her because despite everything he thought she had done, he somehow felt bad for trying to kill the mother of his only and left son. Or maybe he was taking care of her hoping that one day she would recover and he would call the police. But when he finds out she had been faking the injuries (because she gets up and starts talking to him so he didn't need to know about the monitor), he came to realize he had been taking care of a real devil and really lost his mind and killed her, also influenced by Lowen's convinction that it was the right thing to do. But despite all, I believe in Verity's innocence.
Idk about you guys but for me Jeremy was sus from the very beginning. How I imagined the plot twist to be: That it was Jeremy who wrote the manuscript from Verity's POV and it was him the real villian, he was obsessed with Verity and after killing Harper when he couldn't get the same love lust from Verity he decided to kill her ( but he couldn't succeed instead lead to Verity becoming a vegetable) and proceed onto his next victim LOWEN. Remember how he said he was the one who read her book and thought that her work is similar to verity? Who knows he could've used the same way to meet Verity as well? Also wasn't it very convenient for him to have an extra pair of shirt during the first time he met LOWEN and are men really soooo concerned about a woman who witnessed an accident that he will accompany her to the coffee shop, give her his shirt, be present while she undresses herself?? So I was hoping this to be the twist sure it would have some loopholes like why does he care so much for Crew etc but it could've been worked with.
I had the exact same thought when I was thinking about what the plot twist could be. The box with the manuscricpts was just too convenient there.. almost as if he made sure that Lowen would find and read them. I thought the reason Verity peed herself when Lowen whispered in her ear was because she was fearing Jeremy.. and that she couldn't warn her in her vegetable state. But when she kept messing with her, muting the tv, waving at her kid, standing on the stairs while they were kissing.. I had no explanation for it :D Still Jeremy was very suspicious til the end and I still have so many questions.
This could be it but also we don't know why jeremy was so hesitant to kiss and fu*k around with lowen when he being the villian, could right away make his move fearlessly and fu*k around with low just as he did with verity.
i would love a book from Jeremy’s perspective .. there are a few inconsistencies in the letter that make me think the manuscript is real .. very off the letter she was over explaining and gas lighting the same way she did when Jeremy accused her of not caring about Harper , second her son said she said hold his breath, ino she claims she went back and changed things to include/explain Harpers death, but from the beginning she wrote about hating her and even Jeremy suggests it.. plus the girls scars on their face from the attempted miscarriage .. also if Jeremy read the manuscript and alot of it was untrue, wouldn’t he had known none of it was true then, since he loved life with her and realized a lot was embellished, ie: the sex life which she wrote in the letter she was not obsessed with? she def did all that lol .. anyway i NEED a sequel .. the additional chapter was okay.. i don’t like that i see Jeremy like Joe Goldberg now lol
well tbh after reading the bonus chapter, even I feel like Jeremy was a lot like Joe Goldberg especially when he murdered Patricia and told Lowen then he was doing it for their family
the book was different from all of Hoover's novels,. I suspect every character if we see from different perspectives, Colleen herself admitted that she thinks Verity is evil because she sees it from Lowen's point of view. So, there can be a possibility to suspect Lowen as well, if seen through Verity's point of view, and even Jeremy could be suspicious, considering his actions of luring Lowen by lying to her that Verity read her novels and later admitting otherwise. So, this whole novel is based on understanding different characters through different lenses, it reflects in the story over and over that you need to have a writer's mindset in order to get his/her point of view so to believe Verity is evil, is just from a standpoint of Lowen and the author who says that she sees story from only Lowen's pov. Also, the entire plot revolves around "the fictional series" that Verity was writing and what stood out in her series was her methodology of writing from an antagonist's point of view which clearly shows that this novel teaches its readers to be ready to take in various perspectives and not get settled with only one. Thus, the novel "Verity" itself requires different lenses to be able to understand each character and their weird behaviors.
Idk man!! I just wish they would have at least given Verity a chance to explain (even if it was bullshit). Jeremy would have gotten closure and Verity's son would have an actual picture/image of his birth mother's character and not just hate her unnecessarily. Maybe Verity could have even told both Lowen and Jeremy about the incident where the editor/publisher (ird exactly) gave her the idea of writing in that particular way. They could have actually found out the truth but they were over powered with anger, hurt, betrayal and lust and jealousy. I think that even if Verity was the evil, Lowen and Jeremy are no saints. Cause thery were satisfied with their own versions of truth. "It's a story of three devils, each of them trying to hide the truth from the other and themselves."
The manuscript is definitely true in this novel. You have to go to think, Verity was said to be someone who loved attention. She loved being the centre of attention as it’s said clearly at several points in the novel. What better way to immortalize her than an explicit tell all autobiography? And that letter is to fuck with Lowen’s head. She knows she’s lost Jeremy, and this is her way of assuring no other woman has him. In her mind whoever finds it, whether it’s Lowen or Jeremy, it doesn’t matter because the seed of doubt has been planted
I had to comment on this because I have nowhere else to get this out. I didn’t know what I was getting into with this book, how dark it would turn and how significant it is to my real life. I am basically April, I care for someone who is paralysed (100% not faking it) and when I’m on night shift alone in the dark with her, I imagine her just being able to suddenly sit up and start walking toward it and it absolutely terrifies me to the point where I have to switch a dim light on and keep my eyes on her at all times. I will sometimes look away from her for a second while she’s asleep and I’ll turn back to her and she will be staring right at me. ( when I jump she laughs because she thinks it’s hilarious that she scared me, I think she does it on purpose). My fear of this was already ignited but now I am actually afraid of going onto night shift. Really amazing book though!!! Loved it!!
I just finished this book and I’m still in shock. It’s been an hour. That letter Verity wrote still has me like “there’s no way this is real.”. I can’t think about whether Verity was really evil or not, I’m torn.
@@jessjlsy But why would Chastin have a scar on her forehead if the manuscript wasn’t true? And why was there a knife (the same knife Crew got stabbed with) in Verity’s floor hole? I think Verity is evil because it just doesn’t make sense for her not to be :)
To be honest, I still have mixed opinions because there are so many probabilities. Toward the end of the letter, I really believed Verity's story. Like SHE IS INDEED A WRITER. But then Lowen's reasoning is just as good too so I'm really torn. If Verity is saying the truth, and Lowen partially believed so but decided to keep the letter away from Jeremy, I would have to say she is selfish. Verity deserves justice if and only if she's saying the truth. On the other hand, after reading the entire book, I believed more on Lowen's perspective. Because she is a writer too. She knows how can one become so manipulative. The book is insane. I am losing my mind. Literally a mindfuck. Hoping she writes more like this!
I love the both of you guys and I can't wait to read Reminders of Him and seriously Verity left me staring at the wall trying to figure out which one was real, The Letter or The Manuscript
Whether or not you believe the letter or manuscript is real, Verity still justifies faking an injury and almost running away with her son! So no matter what to me she is crazy!
It is a coincidence that somehow jeremy readed all her books (if he had the thing to read all her books he knew her face) and at the chapter one's accident he appears from nowhere and he pretends that he don't recognize her from any picture like: Oh, aren't you a writer? Like he's not that inocent. My opinion. The manuscript is real, verity was a psycopath, but jeremy is also a psycopath. Lowen got into the lifes of a psycothic couple for sure
I hadn't read in a long while but this was such a good book, finished it in one sitting, and it even made my heart race at certain moments. Verity was absolutely crazy, but Lowen and Jeremy had their problems too, and I think all that craziness influenced Crew. I feel sorry for all them.
Okay but hear me out… what if Lowen wrote the letter on the night she was sleep walking and ended up in Verity’s room. She would have no recollection of it and she basically knew their whole life from the manuscript. Lowen wanted to be a hero. Total mind fuck.
I like this theory! But she didn’t really finish the manuscript until the end of the book, so for this theory to be true, she would have have to read the rest of the manuscript in her sleep
I have a theory; so, according to me, there were 2 major incidents that caused noise in the house, first one is obviously the murder, Lowen screamed when she saw verity move from the camera, and the other one is when Lowen was sleepwalking and she ended up in verity's room and she also screamed there. So i think, Crew saw something, i dont know what, but i think he did saw something. Maybe he saw Jeremy killing Verity and Lowen helping him, and it was just way too much for him to process at that time, so he just went back to his room. No kid can sleep that soundly. And maybe this also explains why he just left Nova out, he gave reason for it at that time but there might be more to that reason, a traumatic memory. He loved his mother, and he didn't liked Lowen that much, i dont know if this makes sense or not but this is what i think
Loved this book! I had only read Ugly Love but Verity had got me chills and now I want to read all of Colleen's books. But something I don't understand is how we come to know that Jeremy was the one who wanted Lowen's writing to replace Verity's, but he also says he had never read any of his wife's books, so how could he know their ways of writing were similar? And also, there's one part when Jeremy confesses to Lowen that he feels like he never truly knew Verity, like a disconnection. If Verity has always been innocent as I believe her to be, was it really true that he always had felt a disconnection between them or he just says that to get closer to Lowen since he already knew about the manuscript and that he thought he didn't truly know his wife after what she "had done"?
Idk what to believe. I want to believe Verity wasn’t evil. It felt genuine the way she explained how it was all fake. Then again who could say those things about their dead kids if they weren’t evil? How can pretending you murdered them be therapy to you? And why was she faking being injured instead of explaining herself right away if Jeremy did that. Also makes no sense if Jeremy crashed the car why is he unscathed and if Verity was injured in the passengers seat then moved, I think that would’ve been obvious to investigators. Either way, there is no way Jeremy and Lowen will be okay when two of his kids and his wife died and she’s pregnant at the same time she died basically? Very suspicious who wouldn’t see that. Idk. Verity is probably somewhere in between evil and not.
And i think that verity's letter was not true bcoz she easily covered up everything about harper when Jeremy suspected her for being partial towards harper.. So maybe this time also she used that trick to fool him by the letter
Hey, I read Verity and it’s my best Colleen Hoover so far. I too believe Verity is a fat liar and that letter was a fake. Jeremy said there was a disconnection between him and his wife and that he felt he didn’t really know her. She’s a camouflager and a good writer so she could easily fake a letter to save herself. Also I strongly believe she told Crew to hold his breath because she had planned the daughter’s death. Cuddles Hoover 👍I was mind blown
I believe Verity was evil and convering her traps because when Lowen asked Crew about Harper's death while he was eating peanut butter and Crew replied with " Mommy said not to talk with Lowen if she asks anything about Harper." If verity was innocent why she would stop Crew to spill the truth. That's my perspective.
As much as I'm inclined to believe that Verity was an evil mum (hence believing the manuscript), I have an unanswered question. If she wasn't practising "antagonistic journaling", then why was she even writing the manuscript? Why write evidence about all your crimes? Something is amiss there....which makes me think that Verity might actually have a silver lining....
Oh thank you for asking if the letter was real. I finished Verity a few days ago and I can’t stop thinking about it. It’s good to hear the author’s view!!!!!!!
If verity wasn’t evil why couldn’t she just have asked Amanda her editor to confirm that Amanda suggested the antagonistic journaling method?? During the dinner when Jeremy supposedly tuned out of the convo.
Nothing can convince me that verity wasn't evil for a simple fact : how can someone write about trying to kill her own baby and say that it was for therapy? Like?
@@dreamgirl1652 yes especially right after her death. She witnessed her daughter die in front of her, in one of the most disturbing ways. And she just went into so much detail talking nasty about her. Also why didn’t she leave before lowen had shown up? Like in the middle of the night she could’ve escaped but she didn’t. She probably wrote that letter because she knew her gig was up and was trying to cover up. Lowen had already caught her moving. Creepy lol
Okay i noticed one thing and no one ppinted it out.. is how crew mentioned that her mom kept everything under the floor.. verity told crew to not answer anything about her to lowen.. why she forgot to mention this.. to tell no one abt this secret of theirs?.. because she intended lowen to find it out.. crew mentioned it twice abt the floor he was not even cautious
I think verity is evil. She never mentioned how chasten got her scar. I think that’s what makes me think she’s evil. And covering her story up to make her sound innocent.
What i really don’t get is..if she was not the vilain, did she really tried to abort the twins or not? Cause Chastin’s scar was a real thing. Lowen saw pictures with her.
I think what I'm mainly confused about is if Verity was so obsessed with Jeremy that it was her motivation for harming her daughter, why did she allow the relationship between Lowen and Jeremy to move forward?
She had to pretend she was affected by the crash. Had she tried to stop it, she would’ve gave herself away. We even see her anger toward them when Lowen describes how she balled her fists to her side at the top of the stairs while they were making out.
@@mireyapimentel1883 why would she publish that as an autobiography knowing people would believe it if it wasn't true, if there were so many deaths around her and she published that, people wouldn't believe her if she said it was allll lies,
Also when lowen woke up in her bedroom, that would’ve been the moment to attack her. She was jealous of her own children even more lowen. She had the knife under the bed. I wonder why she didn’t do anything
Honestly after reading so many mystery and thrillers I am pretty sure even tho most would disagree but I think sth Abt Jeremy was def sketchy and Abt Verity, I found her both truthful and a liar, ppl lie but ppl also say true, and what she said was a mixture of that, and Abt ppl saying if Jeremy wanted her to kill then he would have been found out, then answer to that, you already see, how they killed verity and how sloppy twas and those two still escaped. There are many things still lacking tbh so in terms of logic it won't make sense. Jus think of it Jeremy choked verity, and his fingerprints on verity's should be found thru medical report, that itself causes suspicion, then the timing, he said he would say to the police that he administered verity's meds at night and he found him unresponsive in the morning, the timing doesn't match, forensic reports itself should provide suspicion. The most interesting part of twas according to verify how Jeremy knew and did all those afterwards, and then it jus doesn't explain the sudden rage, not to mention his reaction and how he went Abt it with Lowen is sketchy in itself. And ppl think he ain't the mastermind. I have read Collen Hoover's books but tbh I have had much more expectations. Ig since I have read so many mystery, suspense and thrillers, her this book was jus ok, but def a let down at least to me.
What was interesting that they don't have a single surveillance camera after all those tragedies and having a Brain dead patient and a kid at the house. Not to mention, Jeremy not knowing and never noticing is the most weirdest thing. And how the story goes by and by all the statements, it seems Jeremy always knew what was going on but jus pretending
This something that bothering me. 1. I quite sus with Jeremy while reading verity letter (assuming she is innocent) I thought it's his plan so lowen will find and read the manuscript. Who's evil and not?😢
I have always believed that Verity's innocent. Otherwise, how could she be sure that her husband was not listening to the conversation about antagonistic journaling with her agent and use that to justify herself? In case she was lying to him about the agent story in order to find an excuse for writing the manuscript, she would be risking too much because she would not be sure if Jeremy was really listening to the conversation in the dinner and they could have been talking about something else, so I think her agent really talked to her about that idea and that she really put that into practice that why her books had become so good and successful.
Of course manuscript!!! She was so evil that she pretended to be ill for so long. Knowing that jeremy loved their children so much, still she wanted to take crew with her. Waited for things to go her way. The letter was just to run from the problems because she knew that lowen was getting to know about her cruel attempts about killing her daughter. When she got to know something will go wrong she started writing the letter
I just finished this book. although the CoHo Subreddit didnt like Verity, i really enjoyed it. To me- the letter was fake. She tried to make sure Jeremy was still manipulated. - even in her death. The letter is a no from me

It's 4:11am I started it around 7pm WOW I COULDNT STOP READING 😮

Verity even said that she was good at spewing bullshit - it’s why she became a writer
team letter but my opinion could be swayed (i just finished reading it a few min ago).
TEAM LETTER!!
I agree he is definitely devious
It literally gave me goosebumps when i got to know Harper is stuck in the fishnet in the cover
Exactly just noticed it
I think it was real because remember when the husband called her parents to tell them about her accident & they pretty much said she’s evil so it’s like karma (not exactly what he said but paraphrasing)
But they called her evil , cause she used to write psychotic novels
Yeah her dad said “God punishes the wicked”
Guys the manuscript is real, when Harper ran upstairs crying it was because her mother was questioning her about her sister’s death not because she was “told no to swimming” remember she doesn’t show emotion…
but that was written in the manuscript? which would mean she was lying in the manuscript

I think he was confused and in denial about verity’s evilness, and that’s why he didn’t want to believe that she was faking it
So when he killed her, he didn't thought about the trap?
We don’t know if he did read it though. If the letter is fake, what she wrote about him finding it isn’t necessarily real
I think despite everything he thought she had done he somehow felt bad for trying to kill the mother of his only and left son. Or maybe he was taking care of her hoping that one day she would recover and he would call the police. It could be anything ahah this book is way too good and genious!
I totally agree, Verity was chaotic and the letter was just another part of the handwriting to try appear less guilty.
I kind of agree..It would've made a great plot twist
@@lh8576 maybe she has double-personality disorder
The letter actually spoiled the whole concept of the book for me. With the hype that this book has, I was expecting a really smart twist to end it.
AHHH I KNEW IT! TEAM MANUSCRIPT FOR SURE, VERITY WAS SO GOOD.
Yesss! I agree! I can't bring myself to believe the letter
What was the truth?!! I just finished reading it nd I'm confused af 😭
@@purpleocean2918Colleen literally says in the video that she believes Verity was evil...
well verity said in the letter that she wanted to destroy the manuscript, but she also said she couldn‘t find it, right? And Lowen found it very quick. Doesnt that mean Jeremy had the Manuscript and put in the office because he 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗱 Lowen to see it?
Exactly what I was thinking
Exactly he's like a serial killer
Who's evil and not?😢
and even if he kept the manuscript in there for lowen to see, the manuscript still existed right??? that means verity too actually wrote it
Totally agree that she was evil! “God punishes the wicked” As her father stated to Jeremy in the book. I beileve she was evil all along, even as a child.
Was gripped the whole way through 10/10
no literally why isn't anyone discussing this
Lmao i bet jeremy was lying
I loved listening to Colleen Hoover talk about her thoughts on writing
If verity was innocent and a really loving mother and wife than Jeremy would never have trusted the manuscript .

Ohh damn I never really thought abt this even after completing reading the book, Jeremy is sus ong
He’s like a Joe Goldberg
@@maimaixvc It ends with us is very good.
In the book, it never said that Jeremy actually knew Lowen set up the monitor so if he didn't know it was there then I don't think he would've reacted so hysterically
But that's just what I think🤷🏾♀️
Ur theory makes so much sense tbh!
Had Jeremy ACTUALLY read the manuscript before though?
@@adwika_7 atp I don't know anymore, after the bonus chapter, it really revealed a different side to Jeremy that I never knew existed
So imma just go with everyone except the children were insane 🤷🏾♀️
@@Yn-jp6yu😭😭😭
Idk about you guys but for me Jeremy was sus from the very beginning. How I imagined the plot twist to be:
That it was Jeremy who wrote the manuscript from Verity's POV and it was him the real villian, he was obsessed with Verity and after killing Harper when he couldn't get the same love lust from Verity he decided to kill her ( but he couldn't succeed instead lead to Verity becoming a vegetable) and proceed onto his next victim LOWEN.
I had no explanation for it :D
Still Jeremy was very suspicious til the end and I still have so many questions.
This could be it but also we don't know why jeremy was so hesitant to kiss and fu*k around with lowen when he being the villian, could right away make his move fearlessly and fu*k around with low just as he did with verity.
I honestly prefer this over the real version
i would love a book from Jeremy’s perspective .. there are a few inconsistencies in the letter that make me think the manuscript is real .. very off the letter she was over explaining and gas lighting the same way she did when Jeremy accused her of not caring about Harper , second her son said she said hold his breath, ino she claims she went back and changed things to include/explain Harpers death, but from the beginning she wrote about hating her and even Jeremy suggests it.. plus the girls scars on their face from the attempted miscarriage .. also if Jeremy read the manuscript and alot of it was untrue, wouldn’t he had known none of it was true then, since he loved life with her and realized a lot was embellished, ie: the sex life which she wrote in the letter she was not obsessed with? she def did all that lol .. anyway i NEED a sequel .. the additional chapter was okay.. i don’t like that i see Jeremy like Joe Goldberg now lol
Heyy, I'd really appreciate it if you could share the source for the additional chapter you mentioned.
well tbh after reading the bonus chapter, even I feel like Jeremy was a lot like Joe Goldberg especially when he murdered Patricia and told Lowen then he was doing it for their family
the book was different from all of Hoover's novels,.
Team manuscript 😭💕
🙌
Loved it!!
I would totally feel the same way in your position! That's so scary especially after reading Verity!

1:17 omg that’s the funniest thing ever 😐
Ahahaha I thought the same
To be honest, I still have mixed opinions because there are so many probabilities.

I would love to see verity as a movie
It is a coincidence that somehow jeremy readed all her books (if he had the thing to read all her books he knew her face) and at the chapter one's accident he appears from nowhere and he pretends that he don't recognize her from any picture like: Oh, aren't you a writer? Like he's not that inocent. My opinion. The manuscript is real, verity was a psycopath, but jeremy is also a psycopath. Lowen got into the lifes of a psycothic couple for sure

Love Colleen and love you!!! So glad to hear her side on verity and whether she is evil or not.

Colleen infact doesn't know if she was evil or not
my bestie literally pushed me to read this to have someone relate to her 😭 no regrets tho but aaaaaaa it's so good. this is my first book of her.
Her writing process of writing and editing as she goes sounds the same as what Stephen king says he does
I believe Verity was evil and convering her traps because when Lowen asked Crew about Harper's death while he was eating peanut butter and Crew replied with " Mommy said not to talk with Lowen if she asks anything about Harper." If verity was innocent why she would stop Crew to spill the truth. That's my perspective.

did Jeremy know abt the manuscript before lowen showed it to him?? lowkey confused

I knew ittt ✨👏🏻🤌🏻
If verify is evil, then why did he stay in the house feigning unconsciousness?
I think what I'm mainly confused about is if Verity was so obsessed with Jeremy that it was her motivation for harming her daughter, why did she allow the relationship between Lowen and Jeremy to move forward?
Also she's aware enough to know that the manuscript was criminalizing, then why would she print it out?
Also If she was evil then why would she write all that down with the purpose of publishing it as her autobiography?

Who's evil and not?😢
I have always believed that Verity's innocent.
We really liked this video and we LOVE CoHo! WE talk about a lot of her books and related content on our channel (:
She got an interview from the author and BARELY CARES wtf
Why did she dedicate the book to tarryn fisher?
Just finished with verify last time the sequel is more disturbing than the book itself
Love Coho! Such a great series
I just finished this book. although the CoHo Subreddit didnt like Verity, i really enjoyed it. To me- the letter was fake. She tried to make sure Jeremy was still manipulated. - even in her death. The letter is a no from me
I love this!!! 🤩
How else would her daughter get the scar?
If you know,i mean if you actually know, Twins does get scars sometimes because of weeny space, that is one of the disadvantages of giving birth to twins
So,she IS evil😭... I was team letter! 😶🌫️
