Damn, I originally swung the 516, and then moved to a newer Omaha before happening upon a 517. I swear the 516 and 517 are exactly the same in swing weight and pop, just the 517 has a larger sweet spot (at least in my personal experience)
The omaha 2000 was a besr bat AND a no regulation bat. There was a huge dilemma with bat manufacturers where high school wasn't using besr but college was. Problem was the bats looked the same, so it was hard to tell and sometimes, college players would be using the 2.75 inch barrel version. That's why nowadays, usssa and bbcor bats have to have at least some difference in appearance other than size and numbers
I got a 2021, 32" Omaha during holiday sales (like $100 ) for my 13 year old son who just moved up to Bbcor. I was careful to avoid the 33/34 based on your insights about swing weight-end loading. I suspect it might not be perfect but for the price I paid, and durability, I figured it would take him to where he knows what he wants next.
One thing you might can add to the rankings is $/point on the scale. Basically take the price and divide it by the score. This would give you which bats are the best value.
I still have the very first BBCOR Omaha. Got it the year it switched over from BESR. I believe that it was actually one of the first ever BBCOR rated bats. Horrible, aweful, dreadful thing but still love swinging it at the park. It has a very distinct “tink” sound. I think it would be great if y’all could revisit that bay and show how far bays have came since the BBCOR mandate!
That Omaha, to me is like how the Easton Typhoon was when I used it in 2013 and 2014, my junior and senior high school years. If you get it out front, the ball would launch over the fence, but if you got it on your hands, either get a single or ground out
@@jrmcfadden1966 why? If you aren’t good with it in games, then it’s still a good practice bat. And if you’re a person who gets ahead of the ball then it’s a perfect fit.
I imagine what it must feel like to live behind this field: You are lounging on your deck chair. Dingers are landing in your backyard. You take a nice, long sip from a cold, delicious, homemade cocktail and go, "Ahhh, the BatBros are in town. It's a good day indeed."
If you guys could get your hands on a 34in cat 5 that would be a dope video. My neighbor played highschool ball around the time bbcor was introduced and showed me this gem. It makes anyone even an average hitter into a homerun hitter.
I just hit a 400 foot double with last year's 34inch StringKing Pro. Oh my god that bat has stupid pop. I'm 5'8 158lbs and I'm choked up half an inch to swing it.
The 5150 is crazy. I swing the 2012 5150 in high school and it is still crazy hot. I’m not even a crazy power guy and I put 4 out my last bp sesh. Got it for $40 btw
Pitch 46.2 EV 95.7 / Pitch 46.7 EV 98.1 / Pitch 46.9 EV 97.5 / Pitch 46.9 EV 97.5 Home Run.. see the relation between pitch Vs EV ?? .. good hit, good life !!! My dad told me don't be afraid the stronger you see the ball coming, if you hit it, you'll see it come out faster, I see your videos and I remember what my dad told me, now I'm an engineer and I think about the relationship between pitching speed and exit speed, what would happen if you control the pitcher's throwing speed? (example pitch 46.9 in all batting ) obviously with a good point of contact :) what do you think?
@@Rajeevyoutube I agree. I swing this for my college, but for some reason I feel the lower part of the barrel breaks in over time. 517 Omaha was the goat.
I have a question, isn’t demarini and Louisville the same thing. So if a team is a demarini team the college guys could swing a Louisville. Cause when my demarini broke the warranty guys said I could pick a demarini or a Louisville. Just curious, great video. 💪🏼
Is it really the myth that the harder the pitcher throws, the harder the ball comes out of the barrel using a certified BBcor? good line good life !! Hello from Mexico
I was tryna concentrate on ya, but then i heard the "ANND IIIIIIIIIIIIEEAAAAAAA......" The og dark green omaha from the 98 cws and 99 season is one of if not the hottest bat ever used in college. College used besr after that. The omaha was the endloaded version of the bat you used and even though it could've been a drop 5, the sluggers would use drop 4 because they needed the mass. It was the last bat to hit a home run before regulations and it was a grand slam. Poetic ending. It probably is the hottest college bat you can still use today because redlines and air attacks die. To watch the bat go from that to this, kinda sad really. Idk what LS is doing but they gotta redesign the omaha. If you want a bat to swing like a wood bat, i get it. Training for wood, but it should be reserved for training. LS is just getting cheap with their design, that's really it. The omaha is very cheap to make so their margins are phenomenal
Awesome video again Will! Would you say that college teams which have exclusivity contracts with LV are hurting their teams' scoring ability? I personally think its a pretty big shame to have those exclusivity agreements when you have a wide variety/freedom in MLB! College kids should have that kind of freedom as well, it could make a difference in their prospects.
Have a 2021 Voodoo One - amazing bat but starting to lose its mojo. With the QC issues - looking for something similar - what is the best comp? Stinger Missile 2 or String King 2? Something else?
After on-field hitting we'll do exit velo testing (Hittrax) and Bat Bro Scale ratings!
Will swing the Glitch Demerini I think they will like it.BaseballHitters
Bring back the true Omaha golds from 06 era an update ‘em.. id love to se that swinging gold
Pretty fun idea get two of the mizuno Squishy barrel bats and cut the sleeve off of one wonder how it would preform
hey bat bros!!! i was wondering if u can do some hitting with some of the 2018 usa louisville slugger omaha bat. it would be great if u could!!!
Gotta call the field "the grand piano"

Loving the extra camera angles, bros! Keep up the great work! Much love!
I think it's cool the Omaha is still a thing and still a good bat. I can remember when the "Omaha 2000" was a big deal in the College World Series.
I jacked a many of long ball with that bat!
I know right? It was like the Goods of back then.

The Omaha was my bat of choice back in my college day. 1999-2001. Cool to see it’s still hanging on
upgraded production is awesome.. thank you for the effort Bros
I have a 10 year old 5150 and can still rip with it. Glad to hear the appreciation for the 5150

Dude if only Louisville tweaked the Solo so it had less vibration off the end and a little bit bigger sweet spot, it would be absolute gas
absolutely

return it
sorry to hear about that purchase lol

I like the outfield camera
can we get the 2023 usa omaha next please
Would love to see a review of trea turners turn model on murucci
I find it so funny how I used to go to this park almost every week end and now your playing at it
Just Want to Point out that the leading HR leader in D1 college baseball swing the 5150 ITS THE KING!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Never once did I hear him say the Easton Fuze that thing is insane I’m a sophomore and it just feels amazing. To bad they aren’t making them anymore

What up what up!!! Hitting them Nuclears still. Good to see good to see.
Makes sense because Susac on Arizona swung wood throughout all of high school.

Trace with the squeaky sneakers this video! My son swings a 5150 in college and loves it.
Omaha was my gamer in highschool with besr and then in college. Used those first gen bbcor omahas heavy and no pop 😂 those were the days
Have you men thought of testing these heavier bats with curve balls etc. Maybe a test in the cage with the machine. Just spit balling tho. Good job.
The grand piano for the name of this park lol

How does the newer Warstic Hawk2 compare to these bats?
You guys make the best vids no matter what you upload

The red “OG” 5150 is an amazing bat!
Facts. This years 'stealth' version is pretty sick also.
That field has the shape of Johnny Bravo's hair, so maybe call it Bravo field?
