The window outside the freshmen wide receivers we are bringing in (especially Cam Coleman and Perry Thompson) for starters. They may not all start at the beginning of the year, but the window for the others is going to be short. Don't sell Bryce Cain short either.
I can see a scenario where we lose 4 games we will all look back on and go “if we just had a better QB we would have won that game” if Thorne starts all season.
I think you’re looking too much into it. Let’s remember PT was voted team captain last season by his teammates. His leadership is much needed on a young roster.
I don’t give a crap about them putting a mic on Thorne. He sucks when the lights are on. We see videos of Brown and White putting in the extra work with WRs in the middle of the night. PT is nowhere to be found.
I don't think any nickel or safety recruited to Auburn isn't 1 dimensional in only being able to defend the run. You have to be able to cover. Now, some may be one dimensional in only being to defend the pass.
There was never any qb battle to begin with. It was nothing but coach speak like he always done. Also Sam Jackson needs to be in the qb room instead a wide receiver. We don’t need him taking reps from the guys who actual has experience playing receiver at the college level to try and appease Thorne.
@@pickescRead my comment again. I said he needs to be in the qb ROOM, I have said nothing about him taking reps if he moves there. We don’t need him taking reps from actual receivers just because he played with Thorne in high school when most of his time as a player in college he has been a gimmick QB. In reality it was a waste of a scholarship that only happened to appease Thorne.
@@demigod4842 What you are suggesting makes no sense. You are wasting a scholarship. Don't tell me athletic guys can't switch from QB to receiver and have success. See Kodi Burns. Auburn doesn't win a championship without him. True Auburn man.
@@pickesc Tell me how it makes no sense? Look at his stats throughout his college career and it clearly shows that he was contributed more playing QB than WR. And please don’t compare a guy that is on his last year of eligibility who has never played any significant snaps as a WR to a guy who was recruited out of high school and had 4 years to change from QB to WR 😂.The truth is Sam Jackson was only brought In as a WR because he was buddies with Thorne in high school. Unlike Kodi who actually showed on the field that he can make the transition from QB to WR.
1. It makes no sense because you don't waste scholarships. You wanna move him to a room and just sit him there? 2. Sam Jackson has multiple years of eligibility remaining. 3. Jackson played WR in high school and so did Kodi Burns. Burns didn't switch to receiver until 2009 and 2010 was his last year. Jackson had 50 something receptions for like 800+ yds and 14 TDs in a single season. 14 TDs in a season. I think he will be okay.
@kevinm552 but it could be avoided is my point. He needs to own that he made a mistake and move on to someone else. Its the willfulness of it that bothers me
I simply cannot see what the issue is. We need a qb that has composure and hits the check down when needed and throws a catchable ball. HB showed all of this in the bowl game. I feel like if we would have rolled with him after the half we would have won that bowl game. That's not a secret sauce mystical forecast, that's simply from observing. It's plain as day. We will know for sure that CHF is about if Thorne struggles early in the year
Man this secondary has to be great!!! I'm excited for this group ...super talented guys...
WE ARE CHAMPIONS MY FRIEND🦅🦅
Yes!!!!!!!
I’m tired of losers claiming there is no quarterback competition.

I really hate to hear we’re going down the PT rabbit hole again. If he plays elite QB on game day, I’m all in. My gut tells me otherwise. War Eagle!

Have you seen the clip? Hilarious, dude has no clue he's 14th out of 14 in the SEC, QBR of 129...he doesn't get it, he'll never be him

Can we have a show dedicated to firing Mickey Dean
Yea pt gets even worse come gametime smh

All you do is push Brown.

If you move him to QB he's gonna take reps from Walker White. The reps don't disappear just cuz he switched positions.

Well freeze is going to go down with the sinking thorne ship. So who's going to be our next coach in 25
Thorne’s only got this season left in eligibility. Freeze won’t be fired after this season no matter how bad it is.
People like you who want to fire coaches after a couple years have a football IQ of a Billy goat.
Yea even with the satire this is a goofball comment
