I saw you you're at the Concord pavilion in Concord California in 1992 1993 1994.... I sure miss you guys so much and may God continue to bless you Buddy Guy and you're just one of those people better going to go to HEAVEN !!
As I wake up to buddy guy in the morning and sing with him in the shower it makes my day love this guy he is so free and jolly with his audience..the piano guy is on fire and consumed by it pure magic I say
Nothing gives me the chills like Buddy does, not even the cold canadian winters , not even close ! Blues at its Finest. and guys.. the crowd is just being shy, they got Buddy Guy infront of them ! they eventually open up, with a little help from the man himself.
Just goes to show not everyone understands the Blues, evidently this lame crowd doesn't. Buddy plays with so much soul & fire if you can't feel it you are either dead or have no Blues soul. Love it , and Love Buddy, one of the Best out there!
I had the pleasure of playing in a band with Tony Zamagni, Buddy's keyboard player for many years. He and I were thick as thieves back in the day...wow...43 years ago. We were just youngsters. He is a phenominal keyboard player, no question.
Nobody captivates a crowd like Buddy Guy! When he's on stage, he owns it!! Simply the best!!! We love ya Buddy!!!! My all time favorite guitar player!!!
What an outstanding song!!! How incredible is this video! I LOVE this guy!!! Hey I'd sing with you if I were there!!! Feels like rain!!!! What is these people's problem!!! SING dummies.....SING!!!!!
I remember how I was moved the first time I saw Buddy perform this song live in Virginia Beach in the 90's. He blew BB King off the stage and BB was great!
When i saw Buddy play this song live...it was pouring out and on the coast...Buddy said he couldnt come to place like that on a night like that without playing this song...the whole crowd belted the song...chorus and all. The crowd makes the show!!!
Down here the river, meets the sea And in the sticky heat I feel ya' open up to me Love comes out of nowhere baby, just like a hurricane And it feels like rain And it feels like rain Lying here, underneath the stars right next to you And I'm wondering who you are and, how do you do? How do you do,baby? The clouds roll in across the moon, and the wind howls out yourname And it feels like rain And it feels like rain We never going to make that bridge tonight baby Across lake Ponchartrain And it feels like rain And it feels like rain So batten down the hatch baby, and leave your heart up yoursleeve It looks like we're in for stormy weather, that ain't no causefor us to leave Just lay here, in my arms, let it wash away the pain And it feels like rain And it feels like rain
O M GOSH!! Who is that Keyboard player?!! Freakin AWESOME!! Sent CHILLS up and down my BACK! This is one hard crowd...I would be singing at my Soulful best, and I can't sing very well. But when that Keyboard player got done, I was logging in to youtube to lay down my comment. ROCKIN AWESOME!! CARRY ON, FRIENDS! NEVER LET IT DIE...When he went from the electric keyboard to the Hammond, he probably got a hold of Gods attention.
This is in switzerland, they prob didnt know words to many of the songs, so it makes them seem dead, but the swiss still appreciate the hell out of a buddy guy show
Tony Zamagni on Keys and Hammond B3. This man has to be one of, if not the best damn B3 and Piano players out there. Havent seen him since the Buddy Guy days. Amazing musician from the Boston area
This is my very favorite Buddy Guy song. I had the great fortune to see him live over 10 years ago, at the annual Japan Blues Carnival at the amphitheater in Hibiya Park.
Keyboard player is named Tony Z (Zamagni) He's originally out of Boston MA. Used to make his home in Chicago. One of the very finest. He has solo cd's out. He definitely is amazing!
"Looking back, my journey has brought me into proximity with some of the great masters of my profession, and all of them took the time to show me something of their craft, even if they weren't aware of it. Perhaps the most rewarding relationship I have had with any of these great players has been with Buddy Guy. In all the years I have known him, he has never really changed, and we have always remained great friends. In the music sense, it was he who showed me the way forward" - Eric Clapton
