I always found it interesting how purple represented fear in Inside Out but bravery in this show. Purple is just that one color that isn't mainly associated with one specific emotion like yellow or blue. I just always found that neat.
I don’t think either can be a rip off because it’s portrayed differently. The emotions in Inside Out are inside Riley’s head, while Hanazuki’s emotions are displayed through the (typically white) areas of her hair, bracelets, and the bottom layer of her dress.
