Thanks for sharing these! I still remember some of them. My only brush with a celebrity was meeting Dick Van Dyke at the office of our same chiropractor -he really was tall! ❤
No horse, ever, is worth one billion dollars. The line is reminiscent of those war stories in Classical Antiquity with casualties in the hundreds of thousands, and combatants in the millions, in every battle. It reflects a writer without numerical literacy.
Here's one with jockeys in it: *Dead Cert,* based on a novel by a former jockey, *Dick Francis* It's set in Britain & includes Judi Dench in cast .... ruclips.net/video/D1RWbT-DlCo/видео.htmlsi=qeXVPQgnKXdLHxHZ
He's making fun of himself. Also, people do, just naturally, get forgetful when they get older. Also, he is portraying a stereotypical absentminded, yet brilliant, professor which is funny or supposed to be. And his character wants people to be at ease and laugh. Basically, Dick Van Dyke is all about slapstick and laughs. So loosen up a little and smile even if it's not LoL belly laughs. It's our beloved Dick Van Dyke! Just watching him goof around brings a smile to my face. I think he's 98 now.
Boy....16 yrs passed since this episode aired on HMC,didnt feel like it was that long time ago!
Great movie! Loved seeing 3 generations of Van Dyke's!

If wishes were horses, it would be VEWY, VEWY difficult to blow them off your birthday cake.
Fabulous a horse identifies the stolen horse, a great scene. A lovely story, I love horses too.
First show about race horses that didn't have any jockeys in it.

Horse and Dog racing KILLS! Even in shows!
Great show. Thanks for sharing.
I love Murder 101, but in this one the background music is sooo loud, it is hard to hear the conversations!
I wonder if they could show the old programmes or make new ones , the young ones saying "who's the lone ranger"
sayonara...can't take the overwhelming background music🥴
Yes, it has an agitating quality, got on my nerves even though it was low volume
I think the extra music is because of copyright laws...it makes the films different.
Another VanDye movie, YAHOO.😂
53:47 had to rewind few times, the man is handcuffed to a leg of a table 🤣🤣🤣
Yeah. Lift up the table, and you are free to go.
Not the first ridiculous plot hole.
Dick van Dyke (the original 'DVD' !!) needs better-fitting false teeth - he's really slurring in this film.
I love Duck Van Dyke! My question and yet confusion, is why does Mr Van Dykes character portrayed a confused and senile man! This really bothers me!
he is in his 80s
Not everyone in his 80's is "confused and senile."
