    I just bought this unit. Looks good out of the box, except one corner is smashed in but doesn’t hurt it from running. It has been giving me the 05 error code a few times so I decided to take off the cover and see if what everyone did saying about the green fuel line being crunched. Yes it is. Right as it comes out of the fuel pump. It was installed that way because there wasn’t enough room between the pump and the housing. Maybe that has something to do with it. The fuel pump is laying horizontally on the bottom, no incline like so many say is necessary. I’m replacing the fuel line and installing a filter. I’ll also set the pump on an angle? I’m also purchasing a longer wire for the control screen so I can put it in my house. Seems to be leaking fuel somewhere. I get a little hint of desiel in the house.!

    I have that same heater (only it's the narrow tall version but the same heater inside) and it works great! That dryer hose crap melts on my heater right by the air outlet so I can't use it. I went with an adapter from 3" to 4 " and use aluminum dryer exhaust tubing.

      Yes indeed I should have talked more about that as well. Eve compared to another brand diesel heater even with an upgraded pump its still quieter than the other with the upgraded pump. The clicking doesnt bother us at all on this unit. The fan drowns it out.

      @gladiatoroverland just confirmed on start up it's loud. I let it run for about 50 minutes went and checked on it and the pump noise is equal to the heater noise at 2.5hz. At 1.7 hz it's barely noticeable.

      We will be wrapping the exhaust. With the spacers it did stop it burning the table but at 1”. Anything less and it gets too hot especially on hi. Yes we were venting out the window.

      For my understanding is that, by reduce the Hz uses less fuel?

    • @gladiatoroverland
      @gladiatoroverland  8 месяцев назад +1

      Yes indeed. It also lowers the fan speed. If I were using in an insulated garage. I would not foresee the need for much more than on low with a fan in the garage to push heat around. Of course depending on size of the garage. I will be posting another video of the other style heater they distribute as well right after xmas.

    How hot will the room get when the unit is on high? I’m curious because everyone gives a review but they never say how hot the room temperature really is

    • @gladiatoroverland
      @gladiatoroverland  8 месяцев назад +1

      We do tell and thats a very subjective question. Depending on room size and insulation, as well as drafts. But even seen that output on such a unit is over 300F on high. You can easily heat a room. The room in question here was in the mid 80s on low with the window cracked and outside temp was in the low 30s. In our large uninsulated gazebo tent on low when 25-35 out we can easily get the temps to high 60s/low 70s on low. We never have had to really use the unit on high to keep temps. Even in a insulated vehicle we have been in sib freezing and have only run up to medium. Rooftop tents mainly low to medium as medium gets in the mid 80s.

      Nothing particular would happen if there was a sudden power outtage. The unit would just shut off. The chances of this happening honestly are pretty rare. The only downside I can see is if it isnt run through the shutdown sequence regularly. Is that one would have to a.clean b. Rebuild the unit with new glow plug and seals after cleaning the combustion chamber of soot.

    • @gladiatoroverland
      @gladiatoroverland  4 месяца назад

      Hmm garbage because you have an error? Have you checked your battery? One of the most common issues for an e10 error. After that check all your electrical connections. Something may have shook loose in shipping. Anyhow, contact the vendor if the issue still happens. They will make it right or help you figure out the e10 error easy to torubleshoot. Things happen but not garbage because its doing what it is supposed to. You need to figure out how to troubleshoot your equipment.

    • @gladiatoroverland

      This is my opinion based off of the comparative german brands these are based off off. The 8kw of a german brand is almost twice the size of these units. I feel all these u its out of china are mislabeled as 5kw-8kw but all are 5kw units based on these facts. Although it is labeled as a 5kw-8kw unit from manufacturer.
