Thanks, Gordon. Your videos are always informative whether they are from your car or your home. I hope the ear continues to heal and that your car will also recover its purpose in life. Very sad that real people in and around Grangemouth are being made to suffer for English colonial games, but we all know - once Salvo achieves that verdict that we are being treated like a colony and therefore have the right to self-determination, we will grab our freedom for all in Scotland to live the lives that they deserve. I am keeping the faith.

@Smartgran Only thing about the documentary, it looked like Sarah, who I met at the Salvo met at the AGM and keep in touch, was standing holding onto her bag. Not sure if it was done quickly to film it. Might watch it again.
The real reason that INEOS is closing the Grangemouth plant is because it was losing £383,000 per day in 2023 and predicted to lose more in 2024. Why did you not mention that fact. It's nothing to do with the UK government trying to shackle Scotland. Overseas plants are more efficient than Grangemouth. Ta John
@johnredpath4866 So the Brit gov did'nt pay £600 million to move its plant. Have you ever heard of an oil and gas plant selling it, losing money, its a con trick.
Why is the reason why Grangemouth is losing this huge amount of money ?

Scotland needs to change to renewable energy and away from reliance on fossil fuels. Oil is bad news and needs to be fazed out fast.
My belief in independence has not wavered a single bit since 2014, however the SNP are not the answer imo. I resigned my membership two years ago. It’s frustrating watching our country being robbed in broad daylight.

Don't forget that Radcliff was a Brexiteer too & had promised to build his version of the land rover in south wales, guess what happened to that promise. Radcliffe effed off to Monaco & bought a car factory off of Mercedes on the French/German border to build his new motors.
He's waiting for a huge bung from the UK to keep it open. Every time I hear his name and his move to Monaco, conveniently closer to the ex Smart plant he bought to manufacture his Defender knock-off, I'm reminded of Somerset Maugham's description of Monte Carlo " A sunny place for shady people"

Gordon as much as I have and continue to enjoy your podcasts the theme of stripping Scotland is of course just another episode of what the British state has being doing with other colonies for centuries now. As you say it also smacks of the way they have made Scotland inter dependent on Westminster and our once proud and internationally recognised shipbuilding sector which has been reduced to the extent (remember 20124) when the promise of Frigates were only forthcoming if we said NO. Alas the same situation I fear will happen with the OIl refineries and who says it will also apply at some point in the future to our other natural assets like Forestry and Water (to avoid SE England becoming a desert) to name just two. YES the British state has history of stripping its colonies and using blackmail to silence any talk of separation. WAKE UP SCOTLAND BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE.

not according to the fiscal records, the refinery is making £100 million profit a year.

you are being shafted well so is the rest of the UK personally i believe ALL countries should be independent but of course most smaller places dont want to lose their subsidies THAT is why the vote is usually NO!
Use the money being spent on Carbon Capture and Storage, (which doesn’t work anyway), to build a new refinery in Aberdeen.

Once couched in terms of colonialism it all makes sense. I am always astonished how many people of colour in Scotland continue to vote Labour. We must get this message across - ignorance continues the main barrier to Independence. The logic is inescapable.
