1:32 "i was kind of weird sharing my bathroom with strangers " ....please tell me she's joking! I want to believe shes not that dumb..if she didn't want to share the only bathroom in the house with a stranger who pays rent by the way, why on earth rent out the room though!
"Looking for a roommate that's pretty much never here" is really just lookin for a handout. Like selling somebody something and immediately asking if you can borrow it.
She basically just wanted the money without dealing with an actual live in tenant, if she is that weird about sharing her bathroom, etc with strangers then she should have found another way to make an extra 300 a month
She made her own lease after he signed the original lease. Perhaps she thought she could get away with her con and the plaintiff wouldn't pursue the matter. If that's what she did, it's giving landlords a bad name. Actually, she creeps me out a little.
"We work hard and play hard, have a 16 year old son... And want someone that travels and won't be there full time". WTF?!? With that kind of ad, I'm not surprised she made up a different lease, thinking she could get away with it.
Yeah you can be picky with who you lease to, but don't dictate how often they can be home? They paid rent, they can be in their room when they aren't working all they like surely?
I’ve actually seen this type of ads where I live. There ARE people who travel for their jobs but still need a place in between so they just rent rooms in people’s homes.
To those who say JJ has no soul: That's the ONLY way to remain objective and fair. Many people are in jail because of screwed-up witnesses providing false information (like this woman).
Those who say she has no soul aren't consistent fans of the show who seen most episodes of the show especially cases involving teens & young adults. JJ becomes the closest thing the young plaintiff/defendant ever had 2 a caring wise momma/grandma in her "objective and fair" rulings for those cases
A perfect marriage or relationship is an illusion; there's no universal playbook for making them work. What's effective for one couple may not apply to another. Nevertheless, I've come to understand that there's always a solution to be found. Half a decade ago, my wife and I faced such trials in our marriage that divorce seemed inevitable. Yet, through perseverance and determination, we navigated through the rough waters and emerged stronger, reunited, and more resilient
There is a lot of sense in what you just said and I hope mine works the same way too, we are currently separated but I cant live without her, I love her so much. wish I can get her back I can do anything to have her back, we have tried therapy amongst other things
Its always difficult to let someone you love go, but in my case I had the help of a spiritual adviser who saved my marriage from collapsing her name is shelly renee white..
It’s rare, but not an illusion. My wife and I have been married for 39 yrs and I cannot remember ever having even a cross word with each other. I love her more than ever still. It’s mainly because we’re pretty much alike in temperament and character. It’s not often you meet that person that was placed on this earth just for you, but luckily I did. Like I said, it’s rare, but it does happen.
Notice the defendant says when handing her lease she's says " This is the ORIGINAL lease"....notice her change in demeanor when the plaintiff submitted his.
She wasn't prepared for that leading to what we call internal conflict of thought then the interesting behaviour change. Crossing of arms, fiddling with papers, walking around like a demented preacher and most disturbing, crying and looking for something to blame ie, the coffee spill, the medical procedure she just had and finally the conviction of the plaintiff.

Guy may be a creep but she’s the one that made a legal binding agreement, and now it looks as if she forged a lease? This looks like a good legal case for JJ to rule over and not some issue about a father, his lazy son and a dog… oh by the way how did that turn out ?
People saw it on tv and unsurprisingly the son kept the dog. JJ almost never moves animals because the animal is innocent in these cases. In the UK we've been microchipping our animals for years and it's now a legal requirement for cats and dogs so you cannot steal a pet and police can track owners of dogs.
Exactly! A linebacker with a buffalo or camel hump! 🦬🐪😂 (Unless that's some kind of TV equipment the crew did a bad job of tucking into the back of her shirt. Don't think so, but it's possible.)
To all commenting: This is my mother. She passed away April of 2020 from suicide. She was also very sick with lupus/cancer, and was well into suffering from that in this clip. My mom struggled with a lot of issues that she never wanted to confront. After her cancer radiation, her mental issues only seem to heighten. She was a known liar when it came to certain things, but this guy was very odd. We had many instances of him making weird remarks to me and my little sister. He seemed to never be sorry or have remorse when talking about it after we found out. He never mentioned his background or if it’s an issue when signing the lease, but I wouldn’t put it past my mother to NOT ask those questions. She was a bit reckless when it came to that stuff unfortunately. That’s on her. Regardless, my mom was clearly not in the right in this situation, but she and her kids did not feel comfortable after finding out his background. We put equal blame on my mother for not doing the research. He was very hostile to her after everything, which isn’t okay. All I ask, is that everyone keeps their comments respectful. Another edit: my mom rented the house in question as well, legally in Utah unless the landlord was aware of this arrangement, nothing she did was legal anyways. Hope this clears anything up! Edit: I’ve only been responding to comments mentioning her appearance and/or mental state. Anything else, I am remaining unbiased everyone is entitled to feel how they feel about the case itself. To disrespect my mother, I will defend her. She is not here to speak for herself, I only know what I know. Regardless, you never know what someone is going through. To say anything about her appearance says more about you.
Defendant's honesty is questionnable. But in her defense, I would not want a convicted murderer living in my home with me and/or me and my children under any circumstances. Period.
What a nerve! So she basically wanted to control the tennant and get full rent! She should never ever rent out any room ,shack or hut on her premises again!
First of all, you don't go to PRISON for a misdemeanor 😂 that's what JAIL is for. Those are two MAJORLY different types of institutions. Secondly, If I'm not mistaken felons are NOT permitted to have any type of firearm in the US of A. Or am I wrong?
defendant is impossible. 4:11 " no women,no sleepovers" ....well does she think the man is a wood? If he's paying rent he has every right to bring his girlfriend, children over (if any)
She could have handled this differently instead, she chose to use the law to get away with giving him his money back and claim she was threatened. Rule number 1, don't lie to any judge. Her content of character was revealed when she said it was the original contract which she altered and then claimed coffee spill, then sighted medical procedure then sighted threat to life. As for him, I'm sure he was truthful and honest with his past terrible as it may be but he was no threat to her. She caused the assumed threat.

She just modified the lease and added the "no women, no sleepovers" "No drugs" to the lease after it was copied for him.
@@Domino13 Because that's why she kicked him out probably and so she added that to show in court that it wasn't against her right to kick him out.
