    i'm new to the options game but i only focus on selling premium. i'm learning about the multi-leg stuff but the more i learn, the more it seems they're not for me. i can stay directional and just pocket easy wins.

    • @chocotv3573
      @chocotv3573 3 года назад +3

      Yeah, I'm also new in option and I have that same experience as yours. every time I use that multi-leg it gets me in trouble, I worried when the market is up and also I'm worried when the market is down. When I started directional it gives me less worry and profit started coming up and you'll just rollover your position when it is near expiration to get more premium.

    If you can be profitable day trading shares - Wouldn't the exact same thing apply to Options? IE: You'd either make a lot more or just use a lot less capital. I have been day trading options, over 2 years. Finally becoming profitable, but only like 3% per month. Have really had to come strict on myself on cutting losses. But I can't see how its any different that shares. For me the only diff. I see is - that if you trade wrong and the stock dips you could just hold it... but I day trade the nearest exp. (only b/c I NEVER hold these short terms overnight). Any opinions??

      Hell yeah! Congratulations on becoming profitable! I have been trading just over a year, w/about 10 months of 14-17 hrs a day , trading, studying, practicing, journaling, etc. I feel I'm close to being consistently profitable. Been cutting my losers quick. It's all about not losing money and trading well. The money follows. Ok good luck to you!

      36% a year is really good if it can be done consistently and lowering the risk using options and compounded over a long time.

      Somewhat yes, trading options obviously has some differences. You trade less capital but IV and Greeks can get in the way, but you have to be WAY more disciplined with options. Otherwise you can take massive losses. I'm not just some idiot though, been trading options full time for a 8 months. Been through every bit of training SMB offers as well

      @@chocotv3573 but these guys selling each strategy for ridiculous amount of money which is actually free everywhere. When you sell something atleast show some performance of it as a benchmark. Best way to make money is selling some dream with a price tag of 1500 to 1000 young people turning 18 +.You are a millionaire 😉. The probability of convincing 1000 young people in a pool of 1 million is very high

    Nothing pisses me off worse than asshats that post information about how to trade with a picture of some dude with a laptop on a beach or a yacht. That is not how it works and any successful trader can tell you that. Successful traders are the ultimate creatures of habit and process and none of us learned to do it on a damn yacht.
