I’ve only been driving manual for ~5 months and I’ve been practicing rev matching for about 2 months. I can pretty much nail every rev match now and it’s honestly one of my favorite things to do. Especially after putting on a new exhaust, it’s so satisfying getting all the nice pops haha
Thanks! The GT350's don't come with it. I love rev-matching myself, however I wish there was auto rev match you can turn on and off as it will be very useful on the track. It gets scary having to heel toe downshift on Sonoma's last turn with a wall in front of you while having to slow down from 100+ mph. I'm glad you liked the video. Thanks for the support.
Awesome video I got a mustang gt and it’s my fourth day driving stick I get a lot of lurchy shifts am I letting off the clutch too quick or not giving enough gas. 1st and 2nd gear are the hardest. How fast do you go in 2nd and 3rd usually it doesn’t seem to like 20mph in 2nd
Thanks man! Yeah the gt350’s downshifts sound so amazing. I also love how easy it is to rev match in this car compared to others. The pedal response is so instant.
deadass helped me with the video of the feet...people can talk about it but rarely can show the people what they are talking about... so thanks a lot (i have a 2012 lava red gt)
I drove a gt350 yesterday and i was doing that and the car was still lurching. Could it be that i was letting off the clutch to slow ? I was downshifting from 3-2 on the highway
@@lethalspeeds ok. I think it is normal tbh. The Gt 10 speed is super fast to shift so it may just feel more jerky. You can try, but I don't think bliping the gas before downshifting will help.
Just picked up a 2020 GT manual 6 speed. Auto Rev Match. New to me. So this is what my car has. On/off switch would be nice. I knew there was something weird going on. Interesting feature.
Congrats on the car dude! I learned on my GT350 too and used to struggle. Just remember to be patient with the clutch and overtime you will get fast at it. 👍🏽
Maybe dumb question but can i rev match downshift a lower power engine? I have a 2012 boss 302, but I'd like to practice in my 2.2 03 gmc truck. Would it be the same or should i practice it in the boss?
I just got my manual car today. Sometimes when I’m on the highway and I reach 120 km (limit here is 160), I find myself already in the 5th, 6th gear. But I want to give it some juice, or bring it down to the previous gear so I could end up going to a higher speed without bringing it to high rpm on 6th gear. (New manual driver, need help)
@@lierda so when I did it I was going about 65 mph and I just went to 5th and released the clutch slowly and I was about 2,000 -2,500 rpm’s but to be safe try to rev match to about 3000 and see how the car takes it
@@brandenjoseph31 yeah just tried it, it’s good cuz then I could shift back up to 6th without having an issue, just need to get used to rev matching it, thanks man!
This is probably one of the best videos on this I've seen.
Thank you!

Best color combo ❤❤❤
Best tutorial on RUclips by far
awesome vid man got a 96 mustang gt and been tryna get use to downshifting you helped a lot with this vid 🤙🏽💯
Great video. Excellent tutorial. Picked up a booster GT350 recently and was trying to learn how to rev match 👍🏻
Glad it helped! I might be ready for boost soon👀
Helpful video
so do you press the gas while in the neutral position or once you get into the lower gear?
You push the gas once your clutch is fully pressed in.
Well, the most proper and first thing to do is get rid of those goofy shoes and put on some man boots! 🥳🥳
How do you know what rpm to blip the engine to? Thanks for the vid
Whatever the next gear is going to catch at. It takes getting to know the car and some practice. Usually 1500-2k rpm’s I think
Where can I find the instrumental at the end. 🔥
can u rev match an auto 2014
Give me your car for free.
Prolly the best to the point tutorial on RUclips!! I was thinking your car had auto rev matching downshifts.

I’ve been downshift wrong my whole life💀
Great video. Got a 350 and really wanna get the hang of this because, well, the sound speaks for itself.
Thank you! Once you learn the rev match downshift make sure you check out my tutorial on how to heel toe downshift.

And if you know how to float the gears after driving tractor trailers for 20+ yrs you can do it WITHOUT the clutch.. maybe I should do a video
lol your car comes equipped with rev match.. why would you touch the gas pedal?
Do I like this?!!
Pedal cam was a good addition to the vid 👍
Thanks man. I’m loving this new iPhone camera. It feels super crispy.
Those downshifts sound so good. Great vid

Cool Video, ima try this in my 10 speed the little blip becuase when I down shift my car jumps forward
Thanks man. I am not sure if that will help since you have an auto. Does this always happen? Or only when you downshift into first gear?

When u blip the accelerator do you fully release it before raising the clutch?
Don't the 2018 models offer the rev match system already?
Yess💯 since i got my gt350 ive been learning stick and ive struggled with this.

What part are you having difficulty with?
@@NanuGarage mine boggles, not too dramatic but it’s pretty bad when I go from 3rd to 2nd
