He may have felt he was too old to raise a group of puppies, or he was planning on moving on. I mean, they aren't even that old when they go back and the place has been turned into a parking garage. It had probably only been a few years, so more things were probably going on that influenced his decision.

It would be funny and interesting to see what happens if Fifi meets Geneive.

That's how Spike went from the Daisy Hill Puppy farm living with his siblings to living alone in a cactus out in the desert. :D

However, like another user mentioned, in another special, it’s revealed that the reason Snoopy was returned was because the landlord made a new rule stating no dogs allowed
The purchase of sentient beings and breaking up their families is not a cheerful topic, even if they were well-treated by their own standards. (In real life, mother dogs stop mothering their puppies after a few months. If a kitten too old tries to nurse, Mom will drive it away with hisses.)

As much as I love puppies, I think it is cruel to take babies away from their mother. Apparently some "experts" think the mother doesn't have feelings or will get over it, but how exactly do they know? And puppy breeding...imagine if women were forced to be baby machines. Cruel indeed. O.o
