It works well here. Unlike in Rouge One, The Mandalorian, and The Flash. He's not supposed to look alive. He's supposed to look as messed up as Ash did at the end of Alien. The built an animatronic head for some of those scenes when just his head.
Sorry you didn't care for it. It's interesting that you say it should have gone straight to DVD rather than it shouldn't have been made. What didn't you like about it?

no it isn't worthwhile, it was a complete waste and should be a straight to dvd release
