I’ve been wearing this watch as my daily for the past six months. Can’t count the number of compliments I’ve received, this is one of the best watches I’ve ever had!
I have been looking at a 'Panda' chrono for a while and narrowed it down to the Breitling Top Time, Seiko Speedtimer and the Hamilton Intra-matic. Every time I keep coming back to the Hamilton as the best choice with the least compromises. Now I just have to find one (probably pre-owned) at a price I can't resist. Thanks WatchFinder for the excellent review, it definitely helped in my decision making 🙂
I’m showing my age here in a big way. Every time I hear Hamilton intra-matic. I get embarrassing flashbacks of the Kodak Instamatic. The originator of the selfie. Don’t argue!
What a pleasant surprise seeing the watch you're wearing being reviewed on Watchfinder! makes you appreciate it even more. Great video as always! I've got the leather strap version, first mechanical watch and I'm loving it. I was afraid it would be too big for my small 15.9cm wrist (although my wrist is kinda flat, which helps), but even with its thickness and big lugs, the watch fits surprisingly well. Love the panda color and the classic racing watch look.
I bought the same model yesterday (leather strap, mechanical). It's beautiful, and I got nice compliments already. My first chronograph, and I'm glad it's mechanical
Thanks Mr Talking Hands. I was so impressed with this watch..........and your video of course, I’ve just bought one. The green dial with stainless bracelet. And for a great price $2622 AUD or £1370. Outstanding value for a fantastic looking watch. Thanks again for bringing it to my attention. LOVE YOUR WORK!!!! Regards, Greg from OZ
I have the blue version of this watch - one of my favourites. Especially as they are often discounted, making them brilliant VFM. I preferred this to my Speedy - which I sold recently.....
Thanks a lot for this review 👍. This Hamilton is on my list since almost 2 years but wasn’t sure it‘s the chronograph for me. After watching your review, guess who ordered one? You‘re doing a wonderful job, presenting all kinds of watches ⌚️

I agree with you! they also are great at bringing to the front brands you never thought of looking at if you are an admirer of fine watches. and to see the watch you own being reviewed by this channel is a high compliment of your taste.
I couldn’t imagine not subscribing to this channel to the tune of 60% of people watching - this is the single best watch channel on RUclips by a long shot.
The intramatic is easily one of my all time favourite watches. Even more to the point, as you said, it has provenance, technology and price point. This is a watch I can easily justify. If my wife lets me, of course!
Have this watch. Thing I don’t like is the date pusher and the thickness of it. Also the indexes and the hands on makes legibility,it’s poor due to reflection.
This is more handsome yet considerably cheaper than the similar looking Tudor chronograph. The perfect size now for a chrono too. Hamilton are definitely growing in their rankings for me as of late with this, the khaki field mechanical, PSR and classic Ventura as well. Yet all still relatively affordable.
@@sahtemehdiavcstarkd8712 not necessarly .This is an automatic chronograph with a really solid movement punching well above it’s price range.2000$ is not much for a mechanicsl chronograph.İn addition to all of these specs it lools really cool to maybe aside from it’s thickness
This is one of the very best looking chronographs regardless of price. The quality is excellent as is with all Hamiltons. Now the question is do you get the Auto or the hand wound?
LOVE Hamilton!!! To me it's the very best major watch brand at a moderate price. Better than Seiko, better than Tissot, Casio, Glycine, Oris, Longines and many others. And Hamilton's vintage watches are the epitome of unconventional, endlessly creative design, the Ventura being only one of MANY such examples.
Hamilton as a brand in general is absolute VALUE. They got history, they got heritage, they have their own style and character, quality, very reasonably priced, they are cool and recognizable. You can't call this a BUDGET watch in capital letters when it's 2000 pounds. There's literally THOUSANDS of watches that fit the "budget watch" category better. For example, a Lorier Gemini with the Seagull movement has the same panda vibe and amazing build quality for the money, a true vintage inspired manual chrono. What it doesn't have is HERITAGE and a Swiss movement, which this Hamilton absolutely does, hence by definition not being a BUDGET watch. I absolutely love this particular Hamilton, but again, it's NOT a BUDGET watch. It's literally their most expensive watch!
I enjoyed this one more that I thought I would. I think it's the watch that makes the video hit that Goldilocks sweet spot. I would love to see your review of a Khaki Aviation Pilot Pioneer Auto Chrono.

Hi, would it be too much to ask for a video comparing this Hamilton to the Hanhart Pioneer 417ES, now I dont know witch one to buy, both are great. Greetings from MX!
This. I do much prefer square pushers, but the outside side combined with large numbers is a bit muddled and the composite symmetry is off due to keeping the chrono dials the same color as the center dial. It just looks to busy, and thus not as dressy as this watch can pull off but also not as simplistic as this watch in symmetrical design and ease of use. The only real issue I have is that I really don’t like how far the pushers stuck out. Also the longines isn’t a real panda dial as the colors are navy and creme instead of creme/white and black. Isn’t a huge deal on the face, but it can cause some issues with your strap options
I have a Jazzmaster with ETA 2892, which is incredibly accurate, and yesterday I bought a Khaki Field Aviation automatic with H30 and an 80-hour power reserve with a blue dial. Hamilton watches offer a lot for their price, which justifies their purchase.
Hammy is amazing, especially with the 80 hour movement. It single-handedly satisfied my fix for a vintage styled racing chronograph. Great video! I'd love to see a video about the different types of lume (e.g. superluminova, tritium) used in the watch industry. That would be super interesting.
I tried it on a few times in my AD on the black leather strap . Wow . It is nice . Perfect. It'd just a little to much in Canada . Around $2700 . If it was a bit less it would be ok . .
The pushers stick out way too far. Once I noticed this, I can’t unsee it. If this watch had better lume (I believe one should make it strong if going to be used at all) and more compact pushers, and maybe a slightly more compact lug to lug, it would be epic.
Are the pushes screw down? Better for when you need that function. Would prefer if it wasn't as thick as well, and that mesh strap is very blingy. The Black version of this with leather strap is very nice and more vintage with the fauxtina. Some people like pandas, I'd still have one!
I have a Hamilton Xwind in my collection. Its around 1100 usd. I like to regularly wear it. But 2000 usd for this intramatic is a bit too much for a Hamilton imo. I would buy it at 1000, but not at 2k.
I own this watch. You can frequently find it for 25% off at Nordstrom or other ADs. At $1600-1$1700 I don't think there's any chrono that beats it: you get 60 hr power reserve, screw-down crown, 100 meters of water resistance, very good AR coating, and a handsome panda design, all in a compact case that sits nicely on the wrist. Compare the Breitling Premier B01, which looks very similar but is four times the retail of this Hamilton.

Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day
Fritter and waste the hours in an offhand way
Kicking around on a piece of ground in your hometown
Waiting for someone or something to show you the way
Tired of lying in the sunshine, staying home to watch the rain
You are young and life is long, and there is time to kill today
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
And you run, and you run to catch up with the sun but it's sinking
Racing around to come up behind you again
The sun is the same in a relative way but you're older
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death
Every year is getting shorter, never seem to find the time
Plans that either come to naught or half a page of scribbled lines
Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way
The time is gone, the song is over, thought I'd something more to say
Home, home again
I like to be here when I can
And when I come home cold and tired
It's good to warm my bones beside the fire
Far away across the field
The tolling of the iron bell
Calls the faithful to their knees
To hear the softly spoken magic spells

Take a look at the Ball collections. You will like them as well. Each brand you named I own except Tudor. But Tudor will be added to my collection. they all are underrated by the majority as well as Ball being underrated.
