They are pseudo buttons like the iPhone 7 home button, totally sealed so there is no mechanical failure, and using haptics to recreate the sensation of physical press. It’s just like the max trackpad, and personally I’m into it because that means gunk will never get between my buttons and stop the satisfying click when I press them. No matter what, the button press will always be as satisfying as the day you opened the box. That’s apple magic right there

Instead, they will be force touch, so whenever you press them, the taptic engine will make a button like clicking vibration just like with the force touch home button or the Trackpad on the MacBooks and it will feel exactly the same as pressing a real button.
The 14 Pro Max is a lot better than the 13 Pro Max. I didn't think it would be but after using it since launch and all of the updates have made it a much better phone. The cameras are truly epic.

@kinkaid25 I think the new M chips will be the first to use the new 3nm process before the A18 gets it next year. To be fair I get around 1.5 to 2 days on average use now. Heavy days leave me with around 25-30% at the end of the day. That’s some Apple magic.

About the dynamic island, some people hate it in iPhone 14 Pro because the notification is not integrated with the Dynamic Island and the dynamic island cuts right into the RUclips content but hopefully iPhone 15's dynamic island will improve soon.
