Beautiful video! Music was perfect for the season and the scenery.👍🏾 Your friend looked like someone I met in Ireland, a few years ago at a tourist attraction.
At 0:55, you can see in the back a big aqueduct ("Aqueduto das Águas Livres"), that supplied Lisbon with water. It was built between 1732 and 1799. Setúbal is a city with 90 000 inhabitants, bathed by River Sado, where there's the only resident dolphin (Tursiops truncatus) community in Portugal, about 30 animals.
This lady “ Funky Brown Chick” I used to follow her blogs about a decade ago. What has she been up to lately? It’s been a while. Thanks for sharing it’s beautiful. I’ve been to Faro and Porto but never toLisbon. I love Portugal. I recently moved back to US( Greenville, SC) after living living and working 15 years in Belgium and traveling all over. I deed it’s been a real reverse culture schock being back here, after 2 years now we are exploring moving back to Europe but my husband is European so it will be an easy return for us.
Nice vlog. Portugal is great during the off-peak tourist season. All that beautiful beach to yourselves and still not too cold temperature in November/December
Welcome and thank you for watching! It was great during June but wonderful in the off season. In June we were at the beaches just SE of Cascais and they were relatively empty. The beaches down there are so big that you could spread out and not have others too close to you. ⛱️😉
To me seeing people call my hometown cute, granted that it has come a long way from the 80's where it was a derelict industrial town filled with addicts and "ladies of the night" that would cater mostly to sailors, is indeed a weird feeling. 😅
Wow, you grew up in Setúbal or Tróia. I would assume the former as the latter seems modern. Setúbal is the up and coming place and folks seem to be investing in the area. 🥰

@@OurBlackUtopia I grew up in Setúbal, but Tróia at one point was the beach we would all go to. I also used to kitesurf so when the wind was right I would also be there. There's also a few beaches along the hills coastline where depending on the mood we would go as well.
@B. Pe You're welcome. Just one remark: "muchas gracias" is spanish. In portuguese would be "muito obrigado" or "muito obrigada" (depending on your gender).
First they came for the Communists And I did not speak out Because I was not a Communist Then they came for the Socialists And I did not speak out Because I was not a Socialist Then they came for the trade unionists And I did not speak out Because I was not a trade unionist Then they came for the Jews And I did not speak out Because I was not a Jew Then they came for me And there was no one left To speak out for me The problem with people who are in the majority is that they always think the damning laws will not affect them...
@@OurBlackUtopia Well... they are, but there is a problem. To travel on the train, you must contact them 6 hours in advance, saying where you start your trip and what is your destination. They will tell you what train you will use, where (in the platform) you must check and the time. This is because not all trains have access ramps installed and the only way you can embark is by the use of installed ramps in the coaches. Also not all platforms have the same distance and/or the same height ralated to the coaches. In brief: it is difficult the system in place. About the metro: you must request special handling at the station. No special procedure except requesting assistance by calling the assistant at the gate (yellow sign whith a button at the HELP POINT). Someone will came and will ask your destination to check if you need to transfer between lines. Then the assistant will organise the trip. This is because the accesses are done using ramps and lifts. Unless everything is running the person will be not alowed to embark. I say it is difficult to go around in these conditions. I had a colleague using wheelchair and it was always difficult to move around never mind where, Portugal or abroad, even in UK. So I'm sorry for the bad news, but maybe some other solution can be found. Depending on where that person wants/needs to go to some other solution can be found. Best of luck
That footage was so beautiful that it didn’t even look real! 🥰

It was beautiful. Every other day it seems we are discovering some other cool or picturesque spot. Let us know when you come.

@@OurBlackUtopia yes, after I saw her here I searched and were able to find her Instagram. Happy that she owns her Marketing Company 🥰
Beautiful!!!!

♨️ This was absolutely picturesque I want to see this part of the world with my mother , by any chance can a motorized chair ride on the trains ?
I've not seen any motorized chairs here in Lisbon nor on the trains. 😢. However, I've asked one of our Portuguese viewers.
Thank you so much for your videos. From Cape Cod, Massachusetts.
Thank YOU, for watching. Are you planning a move abroad?
@@OurBlackUtopia Not really. Left the old country in 1973. Visit Portugal once in a while. But you never know.
Beautiful beach! Can you swim at this beach during summer?
Yes you can! Interestingly, the water was not that cold when we were there.
It's not a bridge, it's an aqueduct.
Thank you for the clarification😎
Fabulous 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Thank you. 🥳

Too short!... or you just presented us the trailer. Is it so?
Hah 🤣 We wanted to spend more time just experiencing as opposed to working. But you're here right?
I'm assuming by your name that you are Portuguese. If so, do you know if motorized wheelchairs are allowed on the metro and trains?

Good day. Good news. Just heard….. fyi. :-)
Brittney Griner released.
Prisoner swap…
Oh wow! It's horrible that she had to be a Putin pawn. Another reason not to give Russia any of our travel money. 🤬
