The names are based off of the origianl Monkey Island games but technically are still fan made and do not reflect the official titles of the tracks which at the time of releasing were not made public or had not been created in some cases. I always do my due diligence to find out official names before releasing soundtracks. Any tracks put together by strings may also be fan made. #SeaOfThieves #BeMorePirate
Fun little detail I love so much about Monkey Island is that the name of the 'Scumm bar' isn't just a fun name for scummy people like pirates. Scumm actually stood for Script Creation Utility for Maniac Mansion which revolutionized the point and click adventure game genre in the 1980's. I also love that they kept the pirate named Cobb in the bar that tells you about Loom, another revolutionary point and click game also made by Lucasfilm.
Playing this expansion for SoT was like revisiting childhood. The amount of detail they put into the whole experience was incredible, down to the fantastic and faithful soundtrack adaptation.
After completing the tall tales, I actually went back and did the quest for Guybrush again just to walk around Melee island to hear all the fantastic themes it has to offer!
@@RFGSwiss in a usual context, yes, but in monkey island it’s used as a puzzle piece under the pretext of being an idiom. ‘Legend of Monkey Island’ makes reference to this.
And as expected, it sounds like total arse, with cheap canned strings instead of real fiddles. Back then, in the early days of gaming, that would have been a a charm. Today, that just screams "lazy".

Can't wait till they eventually get to the whistle song from the beginning of MI2.

I pray this becomes a shanty
already is, the melody is from an old song called "oh good ale thou art my darling"
Cool, but I meant in-game, like the "Pirate's Life for Me" shanty unlocked after completing that whole tall tale arc.
I think I heard one of the shipmasters whistling this on Port Merrick so it probably is coming at some point.
@@SilverSupernova6yeah most likely, they did the same with Stitchers Sorrow
@@ogSquinkThis is INCREDIBLE knowledge, thank you!
Anyone else serve red herrings to the entire bar?
You can do that?
I did 🙋♂️

i wish i could buy the cook costume and keep it like any other outfit, even having it from the Emporium would not bother me
Every ship needs a cook, but its best you try not to burn it down
Would be the description
@@QuinnVoltsFortnite "Do not forget your food on the stove, or your meat won't be the only thing burning" 😂
"HEY! STAY OUT OF THE KITCHEN!!' "Can't go out to sea...uhh..old war injury"
MY MEGALODON MEAT!!!
Don't you get it after completing the tale though?
This is fantasmagorical
Keep it up you legend
