Sorry for rambling....but really you need to be ready...that was the 1 thing you need to do. Know how to coat parts, know how to prep parts, and be ready for demands....big companies have them and you need to meet them. Best of luck to all of you!
I really appreciate this video , its a no nonsense look into the full process of powder coating, i am looking into starting a powder coating business here in Scotland and needed to know the ins and outs of the mass production process medium to large scale powered coatings.
To bad we aren't closer together. I'm looking for a growing shop to do work for. I love powder coating so I'll eat sleep and breath it just hard to find a shop around here that's worth working for. You seem like you'd be a great person to work with. You'll find someone. Keep on keeping on.
Great video like always with honest info. Just getting in to powder coating, got my first powder delivery today and am excited to give things a try. Theres lots of great videos out there but your my go to guy for sure. When its time to upgrade things ill be ordering my system through you and im hopeing the price hasnt gone up too much since u posted that review lol. Keep up the great work your an honest and true inspiration.
Appreciate the kind words! Our goal is to provide the best guns at the best price. I'm working to import in quantities so we can keep price low! Best of luck!
Is there a general basis for powdercoat pricing? I build and sell drum smokers so I will be sandblasting and powdercoating my own drums, but want to do side jobs to make extra money to help pay for the equipment I'm buying for my Smoker business. I would like to pick your brain. I will be following you BTW. Thanks!
I'm just getting into powder coating have been looking at sandblaster cabinet was wondering what you set up looks like or what you have not sure how big I of one I should get I'm looking at starting to do wheels just for now.
I have a powder coating oven that is electric element at the moment. Thinking about converting to infrared. Do you have any suggestions on using a infrared system?
I've been thinking about adding powder coating capabilities to my shop for years. I'm thinking about buying one of those Electron systems and building a powder coating oven or trying to find one on Craigslist. Any thoughts on gas vs electric for an oven around 5x5 and around 8 feet tall? When is the gun with the flashlight going to be available?
Most of the time it's more per part than per square inch....although I could probably do the math and get that number. I know how much I need to make per hour and then fig out time to hang, wash, dry, coat, and cure per cart and how many carts per hour. A lot of this will change when the lines running.
I’m wanting to start doing this. No shop within 1.5-2 hour drive. Just uncertain about pulling the trigger. And the delay in making it a livable income. Not many industries semi local, that don’t already do it in house.
@Christian Bean that would be nice I have like 20 plus within 1 hr and who knows how many within 2. I'd get a setup and practice a ton before you go for big jobs....dont ruin opportunities by not being ready

Greetings from Estonia, can I ask some private questions? Happy new year!

How did you start your business?

If you can go gas, ur daily costs will be cheaper. It's about 25 a day to run both my ovens for 9 hrs a day.
Do you charge by the square inch or foot?
