12:44 Fitbit removed the spotify music control in the charge 5, they also removed the weather app. Perhaps these could be added or upgraded in the future via firmware, I don't use spotify but would love to see full music control or onboard music storage. Wow, thank you for the helpful info presented in a high quality video! I was beginning to think no RUclipsrs understood the concept of editing & production values anymore.
Thanks for such a detailed review! I'm looking to upgrade my mom's Versa 2, she mainly cares about the step tracker so I'm leaning towards the luxe for her.
Nice! The luxe is very thin and easy on the wrist so i think that'll be a nice upgrade if she doesn't use the smartwatch features much. Thanks for watching Ashia :)
I appreciate the detailed review. Are you still using a charge 5 day to day? I currently use an inspire 2, and love the battery life, but an always on display could he handy. Do you ever experience charge anxiety when working out, or just going about your day? Thanks for your time. Albert
Hey Albert, glad it was helpful for you... I actually love the inspire 2 one of my favorite trackers! I actually switched to the inspire 3 when it launched I love the size of it and the 🔋 life. The charge 5 is great but I don't use a lot of the additional features it offers like the GPS or ECG. I'm working on my longer term review of the inspire 3 now, stay tuned and thanks for watching!
Me too, I had the Luxe one day, wore it like 1/2 hour. I also changed the straps from the original and found it SO hard to change, I broke a nail too. Then I went out and came home and noticed mt new FitBit was gone. It had fallen off somewhere, never found it again. I guess I did not close the strap well although it seems to feel alright to me at the time. . This is about my 4th FitBit over the years, I never had one that was so hard to change the straps. I am thinking of getting the Charge 5 next.
I love how you beat the shit out of Fitbit for the charger situation. Wireless charging makes the device significantly thicker, thus its not gonna happen anytime soon.
Yea wireless charging is a pipe dream probably for the next few years, just a wish haha 🤞 I am glad they are moving in the right direction and unifying the charger design however 😁
Great review. Currently i have the original flex...yes the flex and it still works. I would like to upgrade my Fitbit so that I can track my heartbeat. Basically i do workout videos and occasionally run outside and want to track my heart rate to ensure my heart beat is at peak. Should I get the Inspire to track my steps and heart rate? Thank you..
Glad you enjoyed it, and wow i'm amazed that it has lasted you that long! I think for your use case the inspire 2 should offer plenty of improvements over the flex ( a screen, notification support, better battery and heart rate tracking) I still love the inspire 2 and think it's one of fitbit's best products if you don't need the more advanced features. Hope that helps Tanya!
@@VladimirKostek thank you for responding. Let me ask you this. My flex works perfect on my arm since i can wear it loose because i do wear a watch. Lol I wear an Apple Watch on one wrist and my luxe on the other. I may look dumb but both serve different purposes for me so I don’t care if people think I look weird lol
I wear a regular watch on my left and my fitbit on my right, people always ask why I have two watches haha. I agree both different purposes even with an apple watch!
Good video. I am 74 woman and looking for a tracker. The Inspire maybe the one for me. I do a fitness workout on a mini trampoline every morning. Would it track that? Also I work with a trainer twice a week-weight lifting and machines. Would it track that? Also I see some require to pay extra, is this one of them? And would I have o do that. Sorry for all the questions.
Hello Carolyn, i'm impressed you are so active... good for you! The trampoline tracking might be tricky but it would still track your movement. It does not require paying extra unless you want the premium account which only provides a few more features. Your two times a week workouts could be tracked if you set it to that activity before you start your weight training. Hope that helps!
Thanks for this in depth video! Considering that the Versa 2 is now the same price as the Charge 5 and only $20 more than the Luxe, is it worth getting? What are the differences between the Versa 2 and the ones in this video?
The charge 5 and sensewill have a lot more sensors than the versa 2 and the Luxe. For example temperature sensors, GPS and EDA to name a few. Hope that helps!
I'm tiny so think the luxe would be better for me, but I'm on my feet a lot, so really want it to count that. Is there a smaller smart watch that isn't apple or android that will fit my tiny wrists but covers all my steps?
Hey Monica, the inspire 2 is quite inexpensive and will do all the step counting for ya! It is also roughly the same size on the wrist as the luxe, also has better battery life! There is a link in the description
I have fitbit 5 charge, does anyone know how to stop the step counter? because when I get to the bus my fitbit 5 charge counts few steps although I am not moving!!!
Hi Cee, I would say the charge 5 is slightly but only mildly. They are all very similar feeling, the biggest tip I would give is tighten the band a bit when you sleep so you will feel the vibration. Hope that helps!
Hi Sharon, if you intend to use it like a fitness tracker mainly I'd go with the charge. If you plan on using it more as a smart watch with fitness tracking on top then the versa would be better for ya! Hope that helps
Would you please help me Sir? I have inspire2 but it doesn’t calculate the distance accurately. I did all the trouble shooting and still doesn’t calculate the distance correctly. WhT should I do ? What am I doing wrong?
IMy daughter bought Fitbit charge 5 from Costco in SFO and gave me as a gift . Within 9 months the battery failed and step monitoring has stopped. Contacted fitbit but they asked me to make GPS to phone etc and no effect. Finally I dumped the device and I feel it is overhyped. I am back in India and my daughter is disappointed
Hey ! do you know how to fix the calorie counter. Because each day at the end im burning more than 2000 cal, at this point I wouldnt exist haha. Btw when I start a workout it seems calculating correctly.
I've found that the calorie counter is not the most accurate unless you are inputting calories you intake as well through the app or my fitness pal. I would try a factory reset if you can. Also if it doesn't get any better i'd recommend reaching out to fitbit. Perhaps they could look into it and if anything have them get customer feedback is important to improve the products. Hopefully that helps!
