  • I fit the final Solway Interior van conversion panels into my van after completing the ceiling installation. The full panel kit looks great now, I'm very happy with the way it's now all fitted and the ceiling panels also went in quite well and together the finish is far more than I ever expected I could achieve by using the regular self build materials.

    The van build looks great John, my only critisism is that you show where you went wrong, such as with the ceiling fan wiring. Showing a mistake such as that gives those bitter know-it-alls on MHF something to bitch about, and that will never do!. Good luck with the build.

    Van build coming along nicely. I like the Ryobi battery powered tools as well, for many reasons. They were brought to my attention by Robert on the ‘Aging Wheels’ channel.
    May all your problems be very minor and self inflicted. 🤭

    • @Hogsters.Travels
      @Hogsters.Travels Год назад

      My experience on my build was that virtually all problems, both major and minor were self inflicted 😄. You just have to roll with it and either re-do or find a fix, it's all part of the fun. I did spend quite a lot of the build calling myself an idiot though! 🤨. Looking at the end result and using the van, which is the ultimate aim of course, is great, knowing that it is your own work. Wish I had John's knowledge of electrics and like everyone else looking forward to seeing John's set up. I only have one Ryobi tool but will look to replace my others with Ryobi as and when needed.

    Hi John, i wired my satnav about 6 months ago to the interior light as you have done as it removed all the untidy wiring and i have noticed that like mine yours is often on due to unlocking or opening doors, after a while it starts to annoy you so i am going to put a small isolator switch in the interior light panel so i can turn the sat nav off independently. You might want to consider doing the same if not now in 6 months time 🤔😉. love watching the van build wish i was doing another myself.
