Haha like 73 people just released videos on collection. Do I like Oden’s Eye? No. Do I find you fucking amusing and will watch everything you put out? Hell yea! Which reminds me to go finish the blush video that my angry toddler interrupted even though I don’t wear blush.

I’m not surprised by the palette because Tati leaked it in a video last week. I love the right side of the palette but the left half is not exciting to me. That being said those are shades a lot of people will like because they’re nice for everyday. The highlighters look amazing but I’m oily so I glow already lol I’d buy one to use as eyeshadow but the price is steep for me rn. Packaging looks beautiful and the theme is great, but I’ll wait until there’s a promo to reconsider. Thank you for sharing your honest opinions as always, Theresa!
Man, why does this palette have to be the most badass packaging when I only care about the cool-toned half of it? Oh well, I'll just live out the fantasy through you. Thanks for keeping it real in the reviews, Oden's Eye aren't my favorite formulas
Same! They really misstepped here as far as I'm concerned. I would've picked up the cool toned side! Now I will save my $ & oe will get zero of my coins!
I 100% agree with you on the squishy shades!!!! Ensley Reign has a bunch also-I prefer the really smooth buttery shimmers way more. You are right about the crust and then it sits weird on your eye and you try to apply more and it doesn’t even it out, it just makes it look worse!

Laura Geller used to make these Swirled Illuminators that were so beautiful… no sparkle or glitter just perfect. Diamond was my favorite. White with pink shift. I wish she would bring them back.

Feel like the highlighters in Oden's first collection, with the beautiful round packaging, were pretty light on the glitters. Their subsequent releases seem to have gotten increasingly chunky, like more glitter than powder. I do not care for it. Still happy with the green and the purple I got back in that initial release but I won't be replacing them once they run down. They have some chonky eye shadows that similarly seem more glitter particles than powder and all they do is push themselves (and any surrounding shadow) firmly into my hooded crease. Which is a spectacular look: bald lid, thick brown crease 😆. I have come to terms with the fact that this brand is better suited to younger eyes and skin than mine. Godspeed 🫡
As a brown girl, the blushes are appealing. They might be too strong, even for me. The component is beautiful though!!

@@TheresaisDeadthis was my exact thought. Finally a blush that looks pigmented and bright enough for darker skin tones. A lot of work obviously still needs to be done in the beauty industry-but that was my first thought. Thank you for all you do and I hope each day is getting easier❤
The scam reindeer and snowman palettes turned me off from Oden’s Eye 100%! I loved the previous years collection and the stone and rock, then bam they imploded. Them I heard a lot of rumblings that they sent the good formula to influencers and the crap to the paying customers and that did me in. Beautiful looks Theresa 😊

I got both of those last year and I love both of them lol I think it just is taste based for sure
@@looktheceiling7013no it's plain formula inconsistencies. 70%of my Odens Eye had clear quality issues w the formula being nothing like YT told me, the others were fine. And dozens of people experienced the same incl some reviewers
I wish they had released the eyeshadow palette as 2 separate palettes. The warm side on the left just isn’t a color story that I like. The cooler side on the right is perfect for me. I just wouldn’t use the left side at all

On a low buy and this is an easy pass. Completely agree that the cool tone side is GORGEOUS but not interested in the oranges.

I hope that Oden’s Eye is paying attention because there are a lot of comments stating that they prefer the right hand cooler side over the warm left side. The only Oden’s Eye eyeshadow palette that I own is the original Christmas Eve palette which is gorgeous. I haven’t bought more palettes because they tend to have warmer colors. It would be great to see them release more cool toned palettes

just threw out the only highlighter of odens eye i had, i just couldnt, the glitter was terrible. seems like they didnt update their formular in the last years, so i gonna pass those too ;D
Thumbnail feedback: I came running because my magpie brain NEEDED to know what the pink shiny thing in the upper left corner was.
Hahahaha the glow powder blusher! I was exhausted when I made the thumbnail and thought an acid trip would be so much fun to make 😂😂😂😂

I got last years holiday palates and it was my first time purchasing odens eye and man they were all over the place I’m glad I’m not the only one who did let like them
The palette art is giving major 'YA fantasy with two competing love interests' vibes. Very ACOTAR.
The dark side's color story fits the theme perfectly with its moody, cool toned, wintery color scheme. But why is the light side so... peachy pinky? These aren't rare colors to find so why did they go out of their way for this?
I went down a google rabbit hole trying to find out if Baldur is somehow associated with these tones, but no - he's seems to be associated with bright, white, gilded, luminous, heaven-like tones. I wish we would have gotten a twist on that. Such a shame, that art though :(
I am in a hotel watching this. I, took, my Pat McGrath Labs, Charlotte Tilbur, and ABH Norvina 9 pan in #2. 😂 I walked into Denny's full makeup just to eat it in my hotel room! I had their french toast today and the best french toast. 10 out of 10 for Denny's. So much food it takes me all day to eat it. 😂 May try Moxies.
I'm glad to see highlighters coming back into fashion. I never left 2016 and I'm still ready for more! I'll skip the pallet though - there are too many shades I wouldn't use and squishy shades crease on me.

What I don't like about over sprays is that it sells me a different product than I receive. If I buy it because I want it super shiny, sparkly, and it's just an over spray, I'd be so disappointed!
I love the green eye look! I don’t think I will be buying this, though, because I know I never reach for big palettes and I agree that the two sides could have been more cohesive. I love the packaging on this collection, however.
The cool non orangey side looks like the color story of the ColourPop Twilight pallet…
I'm convinced squishy shimmers are in there for swatching and applying but not for wearing

I agree so much on the squishy shadows. I was excited about them until I actually bought some and then I realized how hard they are to work with. I feel like they're more for show (like IG videos and stuff) than actual wear.

Hello Teresa, I want this whole collection from Odens’s Eye. I love Oden Eye. I’m using a pallet from them right now. I want the purple and pink one.
The "smooshy shades” as you said, definitely apply better with fingers. I've not tried these, but all other smooshy shades I've tried are best with fingers. I love them lol
oden’s eye’s blush and highlight components are so cute but they never fit quite right when i’m organizing
I'm a huge mythology nerd & I always appreciate Odens Eye for their themes & beautiful fantasy art. I bought a couple things years ago- highlighters I think- & they were so glittery that I didn't keep them. The eyeshadow palettes are just never the right colorstory for me so I admire them but do not purchase. It's too bad these blushes are not liquid or cream since I like the intensity of color but they're way too deep & pigmented for my pale ass. If they were a sheerer formula or you could mix with foundation they would be great. So yeah, Odens Eye is one of those brands that I admire & appreciate from afar but know it's not for me. And that's ok. Not everything is for everybody.

I also feel the same with textured shimmers creating texture on eyelids. Viseart is one brand that doesn't do that for me - always smooth and no fallout , no glitter glue needed.

Yup! Last try on video! The formula is definitely awesome and the orange is the most perfect orange to ever exist!

Confused on why the blushes are warm toned and the highlighters are cool toned. Should have had a cool toned blush and warm toned highlighter to match the eyeshadow palette.

Luminous Heat blush looks like a sunburn on you. It's actually not too bad. 😅 I'm paper 📃 so sometimes that looks cute. I have to stay away from some things because they're not made for us pale babes.

I really like how honest you are about the make up you try. I won't buy the collection. the left side of the pallette remindes me of my eye lid when I have excema. it already makes my eyelids itch if I look at them for too long....
The outside is by far the hit of this release.. I'll be passing on this one.

I have to admit, if you could get it to look ok on your 'uncooked chicken' face, just about anyone who likes strong makeup would love it and all the people with darker complexions are going to be loving it!!!

I am wondering if I am not applying Oden"s Eye eyeshadow properly. I have 5 of their palettes and they just don't seem to last on my eyes even with primer and spraying with setting spray. Always love your honest reviews and commentary. Your videos always cheer me up! Thank you!
They don't last the longest on me either. I don't think it's just you! I haven't bought anything from them for so long, they've lost their appeal.

😅 I love their packaging as much as I f-ing hate their f-ing color stories in EVERYTHING they've ever done. I have yet to buy something. The only thing so far from the brand and it's history that moved me was of course sold out: Annette's Giant Wolves palette. I hate Nomad's color stories even more 😂😂

This should have been 2 separate palettes with a magnet. Buy 1 or both & if you have both then you can join them (like the Too Faced/KVD Better Together palettes (if anyone can remember those). I won’t be buying it though. Their formula is dreadful! Hate squishy shadows, they always crease on me or they hard pan.

Also sparkles are little pieces of plastic….. unless they are biodegradable but Odens Eye doesn’t advertise. Although biodegradable plastic, it’s not really biodegradable anyways. I’m all for less messy palettes.

I literally just watched the review for this palette from angelica right before this and i commented on her video that this palette is a flop to me. One, huge makeup collector and giant palettes deter me from buying. Its not practical for atoring. Two, hate one whole side of it. Three, hate flaky shades cause they also make my eyelids look old and diseased haha and four..the one shade guard is a dud and thats a bad thing to me..all of these millions of makeup launches right now (AND COMING!!) has me already spending too much so im being especially picky on my choices. I want too much. So this one is a hard pass.
I watched Angie's video and was super excited to see what they had been teasing and it was a bit meh for me. I'm happy they made blushes for darker skin tones, I'm pale blue so they're not for me which is fine I already have some from previous releases. The palette makes sense with the story but I only really like the cool toned half. I was kind of 50/50 over the palette but you have pulled me back to reality, orange doesn't look good on my skin - it makes me look sick, so how much would I really use it? I think I will pass on this palette. I'm also not the biggest fan of the flaky shades. I can't really see with this palette how you could mix the 2 sides together for extra looks because the cool side is very cool and the warm side is very warm. I have a highlighter from them and theirs are more the going out out (I know that sounds weird, it's a British thing, going out is like going to a friend's house, out out means a pub/club/restaurant) type of highlighter that would be great for clubbing or festivals etc.. but isn't so good for day to day makeup. This will be the first release from them I've skipped since Angie made me fall in love with them.
I’m riding the fence on the palette because I not a fan of the squishy shades. I like shimmers and multichromes that I can use a brush and not my fingers. The blushes and highlighter s are right up my alley. I’m disappointed that the blushes and highlighters are not in bundle sets.
Tbh, I'm not the target customer for this palette (mostly bc it has a bunch of shades I'd never use), and I think the packaging is pretty and mostly on point... However, I do have a single, petty gripe. On the outside of the cover they have the dark side on the left and the light on the right. So WHAT ON EARTH possessed them to make them switch the order on the inside?!? They put the light on the left and the dark on the right, for WHHYYY?!? It literally breaks the persnickety part of my brain to the point that my eye starts twitching! 😂😂 Even if the color story was perfect for me, I could never own this one bc every time I looked at it my petty gripe would continue to fester in my brain all over again 🙃

This is an easy pass for me. Don't like warms or large palettes (blend bunny is the exception). These twin flames are not so hot 😂
