As usual Franken is spot on with his analysis. The GOP is a corrupt plague on the country and us citizens. How do we get rid of the vast majority of them in upcoming elections? There are lot of ill informed fools who keep voting for them.

@@paulafigueroa1573 Easy to say .. educate them. The question is how? Have you actually talked to or listened to any Chump cultists or die hard republicans? To educate someone they have to be logical, rationale, open to facts, evidence, proof, etc. The Chump cultists and republican base have none of those qualities. Arguably the intelligent faction of the republican party has already left the party and opposed Chump. To wit Michel Steel Bill Krystal, George Will, and many others. And it was reported in Jan/21 that after the capitol hill riot, that over 100,000 registered republican voters in about 19 states de-registered as republicans. So maybe there is some hope. But fundamentally, the GOP party is now totally corrupt and dishonest in every respect. They are lead by the most incompetent and no talent bunch of elected representatives that I have ever witnessed in many decades of observing US politics. And the GOP has one goal only ... power and control at any cost. It matters not to them how they they achieve that ... propaganda, lies, misinformation dirty tricks voter suppression, payoffs, obstruction of legislation, or whatever. And the sad truth is that GOP propaganda, denial of facts and election suppression has been pretty effective for them. To wit 74 million ill informed voters who actually voted for a criminal and provably the worst ever president in US history on virtually any measure that one can compare on.
If you truly want to educate the ill informed and the brainwashed, then in my experience and view, the only way that you can do that is to have direct impacts on them personally. For example, take the anti-vaxers and the "my choice, my freedom, my rights" folks. Most of which are die hard republicans. If you want to educate them the way to do that is to make them personally financially responsible for their choices and their decisions. Which could cost them hundreds of thousands or even million of dollars if they get seriously sick with covid-19. And the way you do that is Biden passes an executive order declaring covid a public health emergency. And mandating vaccination by say Sept01/21. And then provide provide both medicare and private health insurers with the right to opt out of paying covid health costs for anyone who chooses to refuse vaccination. In short, align choice with financial responsibility. That would educate many in a real hurry. But what are you suggesting in terms of educating the ill informed?
@@coreyham3753 I was sarcastic obviously 🙄. See the only way to educate someone is educating from the grandparents (at least) to the parents. That way education is real and not simply learning stuff to pass the exams.
I am sorry you no longer are a Senator. While I reside in Ohio, you stood up many more times for my rights and interests than the retiring Rob Portman ever had the courage, interest or motivation to do.

He resigned as he realized demeaning women was not a good look & definitely would lose him female votes. I believe he is a decent man. Decent of him to step down.
I still say it was because he knew too much about the parties of Jeff Epstien, and the child sex trafficing that keeps the whole dirty dark big money scene going.

I’m Canadian and I’ve been following you since early days of SNL and you’re getting funnier. In Canada we have very strict rules around campaign contributions. Auditors are always digging into those and people are being charged... After listening to this, I’m grabbing Jane Mayer’s book “Dark Money” off our bookshelf and going to read. My husband read it and said it was really good. Love the impression Al! 🇨🇦

You should most definitely run for senate again. Your voice is sorely needed to confront the bafoons that are currently there including mitch. You were railroaded by the overzealous women caught up in me too.
Not just women, Democratic and Republican men as well, the Dems was afraid of seeming partial, however, I wish Franken would run again also, that boyish prank may preclude him of doing so.
The overzealous woman wasn’t caught up in the “me too” movement as much as she was in removing a genuine threat to her run for the presidency, should Senator Franken decide to run.

Hold my beer. The "moderate" (corporatist) Democrats, especially Gillibrand, seized the moment to kill two birds with one stone: Offer up a sacrificial lamb, scapegoat or whatever you want to call Franken, to make a show of Democrats not being hypocrites, not tolerating sexual assaulters even if they're among their own tribe. Except Franken WASN'T exactly of their tribe, as he is obviously Progressive. So there's the second bird: get an extremely effective, highly persuasive Progressive out of the Senate. Unfortunately, in my view, they killed a third bird as well: Me Too itself, by stretching it to the absurd extent of a COMEDIAN doing a silly pose for a photograph. What an insulting watering-down of what it means to be a sexual assault survivor. So someone pretending to touch your boobs while you're ASLEEP is akin to a brutal rape that makes you scared to ever sleep again?
