Hidden Gems of Madrid: Emperatriz Maria of Austria Park | Serene Oasis in the Heart of the City!

Enjoying a lovely stroll in Madrid, I show you the Empress Maria of Austria Park, located in the vicinity of Plaza Elíptica. Join us in this short video, and let yourself be infected by our harmony.
Sometimes we don't need big things to capture the essence of a place and treasure pleasant moments, full of peace.
Being the most important green area in the Carabanchel district. With an area of 59 hectares, the park is structured into three zones with different characteristics.
In the area of the Plaza Elíptica transport interchange, the park has elevated meadows, flower beds, and shrub masses. Some species have informative signs indicating their main characteristics.
The central area of the park is the oldest and is located between the Plaza Elíptica Interchange and the so-called Family Park. It has large meadows, both natural and grassy, trees of different species, shrub masses, and a network of paths and earthen sitting areas. This area is equipped with playgrounds, games for the elderly, shuffleboard and skittles courts, a bio-healthy circuit, and a viewpoint bordering the Family Park.
The Family Park is a later creation, located between the central area and Avenida de los Poblados. Its landscaping consists of large natural and grassy meadows, trees, and shrub and flower masses. This area has two levels: the upper one has sports spaces for playing petanque, soccer, futsal, among others, and the lower one has a river that flows into a large lake. It also has a track for radio control and a space for dogs' physical exercise.
The park is accessible on most routes and main parts for people with reduced mobility.
The terrace of the Park Grill is a must-visit, in a very welcoming atmosphere, you can sit down to unwind for a while, while eating or having a drink, taking advantage of the fabulous views.
