I've watched hours of your vids, bought the game because of you. No regrets. Pointing out proper Fisherman's hut placing! Thank you! One of the best tutorials i ever saw. Covers everything you need to know to not fail within first hour/hours. Now waiting for december update :D cheers
A great tutorial video for beginners. You cover the basics very clearly and explain how placement of services is the key to a successful community. I'm looking forward to seeing what the December update will have to offer.
My biggest problem is ratios of citizens and goods before expanding into a new zone/production branch. Had my city at consistent 95 happiness, 80 villagers and a good surplus. Purchased the new zone, set up a church, market, wells, and zones before turning on immigration. It immediately went to shit in 20 people bringing iron into the fold. Really digging this game and the guides I've seen so far, hopefully you touch on some more advanced content.
To elaborate if advice from anyone can be given: 2 production of berry (4(, wheat, milk, wool, and one shop for each to progress product lines, minimal transportation as they were excessive. As soon as I let people in demand went to shit, more people just to create more goods demand, more goods which cost more people. I realize that's the idea for progression but it feels EXTREMELY tight on what roles should be filled with no middle ground.
@@Tolakram What are your thoughts on doing the promotions in the new system? Should you wait/be more selective? Is there supposed to be a production benefit from an upgraded worker?
Thanks! I was having a hard time being profitable. I was allowing too many immigrants and I would build new buildings to give them jobs. It was a downward spiral.
I have watched alot of videos on this game I googled it this morning as the steam sale is almost over and found your video I have learned more in the first minute and 22 seconds then most 20 minute videos 🤣 you my friend get a SUB and a like for sure 👍
@@Tolakram I have been watching this game for awhile now and I am going to buy it tonight. it looks like too much fun . Have you tried (kingdoms and castles)? I have not looked threw your videos yet to see but it's a fun little kingdom game that will surprise you ..
It looks cool how the graphics of the granary change depending on the goods inside it. It ticks me off how the food stall shows bread and fish when you're only selling berries though.. :')
No, at least with the latest version they'll wander most of the map but if it's far enough they will time out and start to fill their needs if the walk is too far. I generally tear down and rebuild if I'm moving extraction areas, or better yet combine an extraction area with a forester camp (plants trees) for a perpetual extraction zone. :)
I've played 2 different new saves today and both times it says I dont have enough wood to build new structures even though I have more than double what I needed. I know this is an old video but Do you have a solution
Hi fresh bred. Wood or planks? The lumber camp creates logs, the sawmill creaes planks. You need planks for the warehouse and other buildings past the few starter ones? Be sure to check out their discord, link in description, where you can ask for help directly.
How do you get tools for the church? I haven't been able to build my church because I can't get tools and the builders don't take planks to the construction site.
It doesn't appear he is going to be posting any solutions. I have noticed if you delete various structures you get tools, but that seems like an odd way to get them.
I was having this exact issue. You're suppose to trade for tools but I ran out of tools building the warehouse to trade for thing. It seems a bit badly designed in that aspect
Bought the game off of steam and didn't find the HELP list all that useful. So far the game has NOT been intuitive like other city builder games. Seems like the design is a ton of micro management and most of it seems unnecessary. I have subscribed to see if you offer more on this game since I like builder games. At the moment I am finding it difficult to get the market stalls built and in operation. Not sure why since I have assigned a market tender, have berries in storage, and a builder. Must be some small micro management detail I haven't noticed yet and I am watching this video to see if this is revealed, as well as other details.
Have picked up a few details, but the game seems quirky. I click on something and it takes almost a minute before anything happens. Even getting out of the game takes a while. Have the food market stall built and a tender assigned, but none of the villagers have stopped to buy any berries. Trying to figure out why since they all seem to be hungry. Wow, there is clearly a lot of little details you skipped over in this tutorial since I am having all sorts of issues and not finding anything to suggest a solution, or process. It is obvious you did a lot of editing when making this video since I have restarted three times, deleted prior attempts, and still cannot get the simplest of things to work. I am starting to wonder how many hours I have to let the game run before stuff happens. There must be triggers for events that are hidden so well I cannot find them.
@@wastedwatts Make sure to visit their discord for help as well. It is quirky, and being early access this tutorial is already out of date (new manual promotion system). While not a tutorial you can try watching my Twisty River series, or my recent play of the new preview. It's early access, and not polished yet, but by far my favorite builder, even with all the quirks.
Yeah the inbuilt help is just useless. I think they need to have a tutorial level in this game. You shouldn't have to join a discord with the developers to learn how to play a game
My village has 70 people in it. I have plenty of houses build by them. Problem is some are empty and it’s telling me some villagers need houses. I just don’t understand why
Tolakram Thank you. Will start again and not upgrade my villagers. I have moved my villagers around and that could be my problem. Also I upgraded my villagers which I might have done too quickly
do you live in florida? something about your voice reminds me of a youtuber from florida, he has a hard candy shop. wonder if this is a regional thing. greetings from europe
"the granary is where they put the products for the market" omg thank you for clearing that up. The games UI and language is awful they make it sound like the granary is for trading with other kingdoms

Great job Tolakram. I stumbled through myself when I first started this game. It's nice to see a CLEAR understanding of the process.
Well, I've watched you enough to know how I am going to play this game when it is closer to release ;)
Damn good tutorial. NO BS straight to the point.
I just bought this game and really enjoying it. Thanks to you, I understand the mechanics even more. Thank you!

Great tutorial! It covers all the newer additions to the game.

Do the lumber yards have a certain area work radius ?

Hi hope you can help can you plz do a simple vid on how to do the deliver goods thing over 2 hours now and still can not work it out ty .
How do yo make a priest or how do you put it in the church?
Priest is not implemented yet.
What if yiu want to trade berries? The warehouse doesn't allow them
I really want to play this one, but it feels intimidating to pick up. Is that the case? Any recommendations for something similar, but easier?

Why cannot I build a market place?
