HUM TV did Udaari and despite being on a topic of Child Abuse, it had quite entertaining side tracks of Urwa, Farhan, Bushra Ansari that balanced out the negativity . On the other hand, dramas like Bikhray Moti become such a heavy dose that you can't tune into it. Even if they want to make dramas on social issues, execute them so that they can be watched. I so agree with Sultana Aapa, execution matters ALOTT!!
Whole pakistan should be thankful to Sultana madam for creating a channel that has brought Pakistani entertainment to international heights.... The way hum tv has educated people with serials like dar si jati hai sila.... Udaari... And entertained them with projects like humsafar and man mayal it's seen nowhere else... Hum tv and it's vision has really impacted the society in these 2 decades... Instead of crtircising her and her Channel we should thank her for making an effort to make our society better.... Thanks Sultana madam and hum tv.... Thanks for entertaining and educating us... Keep up the good work...

In all honesty i think there were alot of questions that could have been asked....from stretching dramas to bringing creative storylines, unconventional characters and actor castings same themes in every drama keeping up with digital content and platforms and portrayal of characters,dipping of drama quality.....i was expecting more....but anyway it was not too bad either....i

Wow! Sultana Siddiqui is such an institution in herself! Wonder how old she is!! Still going strong Mashallah!! Enjoyed listening to her but don’t think there was much substance. Even you guys didn’t push her much which is totally understandable! Out of respect and out of awe!!😀 Don’t think she was very coherent either she talked about what she wanted to didn’t care much about the questions either! But overall it was nice to see her chat!! She truly is a remarkable role model of a woman that we should all be proud of!!👍🏽👍🏽
Im amazed by this interview and enjoyed wholly.because I have never seen these types of interviews. Please do such types of interviews with officials and head of the channels, content creators, distributors. I mean the mind's behind the powerful content who approves it.

Other channels are producing JUST GREAT CONTENT. What HUM TV is showing. Selling husband for sake of money. Questioning wife's character. After Yeh Dil Mera, not any good drama has came on HUM TV. On ARY, a drama is on air named Bikhre Moti. On GEO, there is a drama Maqaddar. Both are talking on issues. Right?

Sultana appa is so right !!! Rape victims are shown on news whereas culprits are covered with big chadar. It should be the other way around.
Sultana ji truly won my heart... From today onwards , I will look forward to her .... I want to give my opinion on what she said about, dramas on social issues, like child abuse, infedility etc... I want to say that there can be dramas that give lessons like, a drama on a girl from a poor background reaching the apex through study and hard work, a drama promoting religious values, Telling the society that what actually is Islam , bursting the myths that people have about Islam, a drama on how a girl child who was considered a burden by her parents , eventually proved to be their saviour.... A drama on some sports star rising from the slums, or a drama on how a group of friends made an agency that would caught the corruption in public offices and how they put all the culprits behind the bars and many more,. I want to say that there should be dramas on social issues, but there is much more as well... Please take this into account.

Pakistani dramas should avoid talaqs, sister rivalry, two women fighting for a man. Dramas should focus more on woman empowerment, how a girl can be independent financially without a man, how a single mother can be breed earner of the family, importance of education for girls. A girl can play the role of a police officer, a pilot

I agree with all your points but adding anotherone which is important as we are keep talking about women empowerment but on another hand we want to show low men only. Please show healthy relationship between wife and husband and show how men and women can built healthy family and society together.

To be honest people like Sultana Apa who are opinonist on the issue of child abuse and etc deserve to stay longer in this industry.It impressed me when she said "problem mardon ki niyat ki hai aurat ki nahi".We've a prime example of Udaari which was worth it and moreover it reflects the society in a decent way rather than glorifying it.Eager for her to produce another project!

She raises some great points that we need to keep showing these sensitive issues such as rape or harassment because its still going on. Albeit they can be difficult to watch at times but it's educating parents and children as your raising awareness. These awful traumatic incidents are happening on a daily basis so why stop making drama's or films on them.
Totally agree with Sultana siddique that dramas depict what is happening in our society but saturation of such topics like child abuse, rape, extra martial affairs, sister rivalry etc is vexatious. There should be a check on the quantity of such content as excess of everything is bad. There are no dramas on lives of doctors, the challenges they face, life of a spy, there are dramas on army, air force but not on navy, a completely bad person transforming into a good one through love of Allah, on life of pardah observing girl ( perhaps there was one but execution was not impressive). There should be dramas with positive energy , not just showing the negative side of our society.
Topic matters but execution matters more.... if a drama is made on jannat key pattey and they cast mahirah khan or some good actor , why people not watch that drama... if execution will be good ,people will surely watch it... dramas you mentioned shehar e zaat, aik pal, udraan etc people have had watched these dramas...

HUM is losing in trp race against ARY and GEO because they dont have enough masala in their dramas..at the end of the day most of the people watch tv for entertainment. Some Ary and Geo dramas are over the top and unrealistic bt they get good ratings for this reason. Also HUM should have dramas with some known face and good story at 7pm and 9pm slot as their trp is always very low at these slots.

I am sorry she is wrong in saying that dramas reflect what's happening in our society . The question is should we reflect the anarchy, cruelty, bad character habits,bad language & violence that exist in our society ? There are chances that even the little percentage of peaceful minded people might emulate the ideas from dramas. I think we should stick to high moral grounds no matter what in dramas .
