SPOILERS You have a soldier displaying greed and selfish impulse as well as being rather duplicitous helped by three strange dogs of varying size He stole the old witches Tinderbox - afterwhich she blew up and was never heard from again He somehow befriended three guard dogs who were quite frankly poor at what they did. He arranged for the kidnapping of the King and Queens daughter making the dogs - technically - accomplaces In a nut shell it basically says - throw your morales out the window, spend recklessly, engage in kidnapping, and have the ruling authority cast into the sky and have the soldier usurp their royal position. Probably looking into it too hard but is the soldier really the hero of the story or the villain?

If I had that tinderbox I would ask the dogs for a new sports car and a small yacht oh and a privet jet made of solid gold twenty gormay bakers and a fountain that flows with fizzy orangeade and my own candy making machine
