In TWW3 the more lords you recruit, the higher upkeep cost your nation gets making armies more expensive, which is why the nakai players armies were cheap

Seeing kroq-gar walk around with skinks all campaign was very upsetting to witness as he buffs saurus units and also typically with every faction your units will eventually need to be replaced with higher tier stuff and it goes skinks -> saurus -> temple guard
