Really interested in how well suited this now is for capturing family moments not just in photos but also on video! To that end, when it comes to shooting video on the X100VI, is it possible to use any of the crop modes? An occasional visit to the zoo for example would benefit from this quite a lot! :)
This is the most INTELLIGENT expose that I've come across ever since this camera saw the light. This Lady is the Real Deal, when it comes to show a new camera. She never tries to impress as a great photographer. Just shoots everyday images. I just can"t cope with the fact that, for me, the images are not crispy enough. Then again This camera is to record souvenirs, and souvenirs, same as dreams, are not crisp, since they are viewed with the eyes of the mind. Well, I won't rush to buy one. I guess they are going to continue to sell this camera for the next 5 years. Keep on sharing!
yea take my money. Heard it was 10 bit. No way a camera of that size should be producing this good of a quality. I was going to buy an a7cII then this came to the rescure. the interchangeable lens system on that full frame, idk man.... if there are two companies i trust with keeping things small or making the best crop sensors itll have to be fujfilm or black magic.@@TechWithBruno
There’s actually no shutter sound to speak of with the leaf shutter. Turn off the simulated shutter sound. That said, you know there are at least 3 sounds to choose from already, right?
@ziggy149 I tried them all, but for someone who came from film camera era, I need actual handsome shutter sound to make the photography experience fun! Otherwise, I can just take photos with my iPhone 15 pro.
Hi everyone, can you help me please to take a side? I'm in doubt between Sony A7CR with Sony Zeiss 55mm 1.8 lens (found for 450 euro) and in the future 24mm 1.4 or should I get Fujifilm X100VI. Money matters but not really. Always wanted to have a full frame, but I'm not sure of the size. I'm just buying for myself not interested in earning with photography. Travel about 4-6 times a year with family. Sick of phone photos especially at night time or any low light. Purpose family, friends, travel. Thank you for your answer
I felt that the video is kinda "blurry" and sometimes over sharped, and the pixels look like they pop. I don't know if I liked the video from this camera. :( Can anyone see something like that? The photos are incredable.
I bought an X-S20 FOUR DAYS AGO to fulfill my hobbyist video desires that my x100v couldn't. Ibis, flog2, & open gate(edit: it doesnt have open gate). 4 days later, everything my V was missing is here. A little frustrating
aaaaand its already out of stock with no date for being available again lol. Honestly, just buy a GRIII and save yourself $600. Or even a Sony RX100 VII or a Panasonic LX100 II. Both have better lenses, are significantly cheaper and you arent stuck at 35mm.
It's funny all videos I saw in RUclips, they only said the Positive of this camera but NEVER EVER mentionned the Flaws and Weaknesses. Why is that? Sponsor paid them? One big issue with this X100VI is Battery Life just like its predessor Battery too small. You need to carry at least 2 or 3 more batteries. I know what I'm talking cause used to own X100V.

Still requiring an adapter and filter to achieve weather sealing is such a miss. Half-assing the card slot and not improving the viewfinder are almost as annoying. So stupid to not be able to apply your own film recipes in camera, too. There's no reason they can't do this. Also hate to see production shifted to China. It seems like Fuji did the bare minimum just to get production going again. Sad.
@@michialharris1850 you can, but you have to either apply the personal recipe in the first place when taking the photo, or manually edit it later. You can't bracket personal recipes or apply them to RAW files after the fact like you can with stock simulations.
1) filter for weathersealing, most people put protections filters on lenses anyway, so what. 2) uhs-1 slot may be for heat reasons. Faster card, more heat. 3)I use the 6 custom slots to store custom presets. 4)camera now saves in 10 bit HEIF and can output 16bit TIFFS 5) I.B.I.S. is now a requirement for a 40mp on an aps-c sensor or you would have to double your shutter to avoid ANY jitters. 6)Japan made xt2 had way more problems than the China made xt3. 7) fuji gave us the latest film sims, software updates, processor, sensor, unique I.B.I.S. and the production capacity of China, in itself an upgrade. Hopefully this takes some heat off the x100v so folks can pick up that camera.

I would love to know your thoughts on the flash. I felt like the x100v had a flash reminiscent to a point a shoot film camera compared to other fujifilm built in flashes. Would you say the x100vi flash is similar to the 100V or seems updated
Didnt even kno a new one was coming out lol. But looks amazing. Loved the X100v. But that 40mp has me pretty sold…but if its the same price as the XT-5 or more…ill stick with copping the XT-5…least i can change the lenses.

The photos are very similar to what other Fujis can do, but the VIDEO?! Those colors are STUNNING. I hope the videos shown are straight out of camera.

Assuming it was graded, it’s still showing off what a good grade would be able to do to the footage.
Seems to have been graded in dehancer. Pretty misleading to not be totally up front about that in the video

We also used a Sony FX3 to film ourselves of the camera. Everything else was shot from the Fujifilm X100VI
I wish this was able to get a better bokeh for portraits :( it’s not my primary use, but I’d LOVE to take good travel portraits

The video here is shot in F-Log 2, and then they did their own color stuff. You can see it in their article.
