Hi Hiro! One of our randomly selected winners has graciously given up his prize and asked that we select another person in his stead. Your comment was the next one chosen. So congratulations, you have won! Please send us an email to let us know which pick you'd like (jazz, jumbo jazz, or standard) as well as your shipping address. Our email is zspcreations@gmail.com
I love those picks! Anybody reading this....I encourage you to get them, I'm still shredding w/mine and the tone is like none other! Thanks for the kind shoutout man, I'm a proud endorser all the way! I dig the funky jam at the end...that's the picks in action right there!
Thank you and welcome! One of my old friends calls the Jumbo Jazz the Goldilocks size :-) He says it's the one that is just right, not too big, not too small haha. Good luck in the contest!
So you're the coconut pick guy. Great idea! As a bassist I hardly use picks, but if I do, I like them special. I still have three Gibson branded picks from 1949, that were my mother's.
Haha, yep, that's me (and my wife). That is pretty awesome about your mother's picks! It's amazing they've held up so long. If you do want to try one of our picks just let me know, we can make them pretty chunky too and I imagine that is what you need on a big bass string.
@@hearpalhere I like picks to be large enough to fit my fingers. The standard Dunlop size is just big enough. The thickness of a pick mostly depends on flexibility. The nylon picks I use are rather flexible. Normally they're in the range of 0.6 to 0.8 mm. I'm quite sure coconut picks are less flexible, so this will reduce the thickness to the minimum of 0.5 mm.
@@ThunderBassistJay We've tried making the coconut shell picks with varying thicknesses but have found that if we make them too thin, they unfortunately end up breaking pretty easily. They don't flex in the same way that a plastic/nylon pick does. Instead, even thin ones remain pretty rigid and when pushed just a tad too hard, they simply snap/crack. I don't have an exact thickness for our picks but I estimate that even the thinner ones we make are about 1.5mm or so and the thicker ones can be 2.0mm or bigger. I used to use a 0.80mm myself for the longest time but looking for thicker picks actually helped lead me to the coconut pick.
Congratulations Michael, you have won one of the picks! Please send us an email (zspcreations@gmail.com) with your address and specify which type of pick you'd like to receive.
Congrats on ZSP Creations! Great idea, put me down for the giveaway, would love to try the pick! Sorry I can't help you get closer to 200 since I'm already a follower, but know you will get there quickly, I'm sure!
Thanks man! Yes, our picks are pretty thick indeed (I haven't measured them but I'm pretty sure they are at least 2mm or so). I love their tone and rigidity - makes it much easier to play precisely. Good luck in the contest! The 200 is coming slowly but surely :-)
