I'm so upset this only has 11k views compared to the other clips with many more thousands. THIS is what needs to be seen. This was Haymer in his prime. RIP to one of the greatest directors to ever grace SWAC/HBCU bands. He will be truly missed in the marching band world. Ps: he's still alive, just not to marching band.
There are other clips of this performance w/lots more views don't despair Juke fans. I no longer have words that can describe all that is The Human Jukebox of Southern University. No band is on their level. I call this battle "The True Slaughter of Innocents".
I always come back to this event b/c of Simmons SERIOUS trash talk about the other bands!!!!! Seriously funny, over the top testosterone & arrogance. I hate that Justin Timberlake song so I hate that part of the field routine.
Thanks! At least they were professional and stayed until the end of the battle of the bands. By the looks of the stands, all the other bands left. That was so rude. Southern was last and had to sit there (even in the rain) through all of their performances. I guess there is just no more common courtesy anymore. Shame on all of the band directors that left.
