Yeah the film doesn't REALLY tie-up with the TV series but I loved them both. The bridge between them was a bit shaky but that's okay.

Highlander is a multiverse at best. Very entertaining but the first fil does not in any way go with the TV series (and vice versa). Same with the sequels. Almost every one claims to be a sequel to the first film but none agree with the other. Still a fun franchise if you can see it as many universes of stories
